Words can't properly convey how fucking ahead of the curve Sweet were in the UK, check them out if you can. I was fortunate enough to see them live, and it sounds just as fresh now. From "bubblegum pop" group, to writing their own material which just blew the doors open and essentially was the trailblazer (hellraiser, stargazer... hah) for the glam and glitter rock movements that followed: you can see their DNA in basically every great rock group today. ("Action" is a favourite, and so good that Def Leppard cover it as a show opener God that build up, and when the first chorus drops? Perfection... "Wig Wam Bam" is the best "Peacemaker" song yet to appear on the show, everybody knows "Ballroom Blitz" which is so good that my partner thought it was the Ramones for the longest time, "Fox on the Run" is an all timer, "Hellraiser" just goes hard and was referenced in this post, and "Teenage Rampage" is probably the first I heard and has a special place in my heart) Fucking legendary band
