A self-satisfied smirk placed itself on Hera’s face as she sat back and continued watching the battle between her grandchildren.
laura brought herself to her feet and gave a small smile to the goddess.
“ get knocked down, get back up. ”
Hera clapped her hands with a large smile. “That’s my girl! Show those boys who runs this arena.”
“ shit. ”
she had managed to mumble out before one of her brothers hit her in the face with a club, knocking her over and causing her to spit up a little blood. she really had to stop underestimating him.
Hera hadn’t exactly scheduled it into her calendar to stop by the arena that particular day, but as she was passing she couldn’t help but have her interest piqued. Fighting had always been a rather favorite pass time of hers, whether participating or spectating. “Well it seems all of Ares’ children are as brutal as ever.” Her eyes traveled over to Laura. “Are you going to get up, child?”
“ ‘ow’s about next weekend? “ he suggested because to convince amber and arthur was a task he had to plan for.
“I do not have any plans then so that should work just fine.”

Hopefully. I’m glad most of dad’s kids left camp. Seems like they might be safer out there. It’s just me and Laurie for now.
“Amazing how the mortal world has become safer than this camp when it was suppose to be the other way around when the idea of this camp first came to be.” A shake of her head. “I should try and see Laurie as well, make sure she’s doing alright.”

Thanks, Grandma. {Nyssa smiled, since Hera being proud of her was like the ultimate compliment to her.} I hope you’re right. Although the peace has been pretty nice so far, which is one clue that it probably won’t last much longer.
“Well you do indeed have a point there,” Hera said with a nod. “If that is the case then hopefully it will be an easier battle to be won than past issues.”

{Nyssa nodded} I guess so. Me? Nothing too exciting, unfortunately. Just been mending so armor and weapons just incase something happens.
“Proactive of you - I’m proud,” Hera said with a laugh. “Though hopefully it will be some time before anything more happens to this camp.”
“thank you, i appreciate it a lot.”
“You are quite welcome, child.”
“ spaghetti it is! “ now he had to figure out some way to get his brother and sister to join the weird kind-of-family dinner. the task felt daunting. “ it’ll be a fun time. ‘ll be nice to get to know you a bit better. “
“I look forward to it then, child. I would find it interesting to get to know you as well.”
“Hera?” The name sounded familiar, Auden was sure he had heard it in school or something, but sadly for the boy he barely showed up and when he did, he never paid any real attention. “Nice to meet you too..” The boy let out a long sigh, bummed out to be rejected so quickly by the beautiful lady.
Hera studied the boy closely as it wasn’t very often that demigods were unaware of who she was, and from the look on his face it was very clear that the demigod before her was ignorant to the fact. “Hera, goddess of marriage and queen of Olympus,” she clarified. “And...might I have your name?”

Does it really matter what they’d say? People will be ass holes, anyways. {Nyssa sighed} You’re definitely right though. Olympus would totally fall without you.
“Of course not, but I cannot have people slandering the name of the Queen,” Hera said with a laugh. “Exactly, and we can’t have that now can we? Enough about all of that, I came to visit so I would stop thinking about all of those problems. Tell me what you’ve been working on.”
“There’s got to be something you can do for fun.”
“Oh yes, I am quite sure there is something I’d find fun. I just...can’t quite think of anything off the top of my head.”
“You’re s…so beautiful. I d-don’t know how to feel. I mean, that’s weird, we just met, why should I be feeling anything? But…” The boy rambled on, unsure what he even was saying at this point. The only thing he could do was stare at the woman, his mouth slightly agape.
With a few moments of silence passing with the boy still seemingly awestruck by Hera’s appearance, the goddess made to break the silence. “I think I’m a little old for you, child. I am Hera, it is nice to meet you.”
“S-sorry…you’re just…so…”
With an amused laugh Hera said, “Take you’re time, child.”
“but i’m fine with waiting.”
“Nonsense, I will do as I said and tell her to come visit the next I see her.”
“ excellent! what sorts of food do you like? “ he asked, “ i can make a mean spaghetti or grilled cheese sandwich. “
“You are the one being gracious enough to host me therefore I think it fair you choose what is for dinner. I will not mind.”

I’ll try not to let it happen again. {Nyssa raised an eyebrow} I really don’t understand why you’re still with him. I know you’re the goddess of marriage, but you’re too good for him.
“Well what would the world say if the Goddess of Marriage ended up getting a divorce? It would make me a laughing stock and open up a brand new door for people to call me a hypocrite. Not to mention Olympus wouldn’t be able to run a single century before toppling to the ground without me.”
