current plot line.

All her life, Evangeline had been surrounded by incompetence. Her father was a decent alpha, but he never reached his full potential. And her brother, he was a joke, and in line to become alpha once he was of age. Eva took matters into her own hands and killed her father in cold blood, becoming the alpha of the Farka’s pack. Before his death, Eva had developed a following within the pack and after his death the remaining members either joined her or met the same fate as her father.

She was never a fan of the ‘truce’ within the city, and recently has been setting her wolves loose on the city. Many of her betas don’t know why she is doing this, but with how young and reckless many of them are, she hasn’t had to explain herself. She has always found herself and her kind to be far superior, but they were overrun by the humans. Setting her pack loose on the city is weeding out the weaklings that can’t sustain the bite and gifting those deserving of the bite. Her pack is growing steadily with each passing full moon and she couldn’t be happier to have that many runts under her thumb.

facts. ⊱ Eva doesn’t see her brother as a threat, despite the fact he is actively trying to take the position as alpha from her. She killed her own father when he became a problem and she would have no problem repeating the process should he become a problem. ⊱ Eva is running a drug den out of her strip club, using her knowledge and her pack’s knowledge to create recreational drugs that would withstand the metabolism of a werewolf and that of a vampire. ⊱ Eva lets her wolves run loose on full moons and will occasionally come with them. She has excellent, almost perfect control, but she always gets high off the rush of the hunt. ⊱ Eva got knocked up at fifteen and while she gave up the baby, she still checks up on her daughter occasionally. She’s planning on bringing her into the pack once she is old enough.

“Is there something you want to tell me or are you going to continue muttering under your breathe?” Viv asked politely as she turned her head in the direction the tiny voice was coming from. She didn’t bother looking at them in the eyes, but regardless, she smiled.

“I’m sorry, dear. I did think I was being quite loud. I said,” Eva started, raising her voice as she grinned at the woman, deeming her a little girl in her mind. “That it was so nice to finally see the sister. Vivienne, right? Vivienne Knight?” She asked as a formality, tilting her head to the side. She knew exactly who this woman was.

“As if I weren’t already taking notes on who the potential traitors are,” he said, rolling his eyes at her as she sat down beside him and patted him on the shoulder. After she finished speaking, the smirk on his face immediately vanished as his eyes began to water on cue. “Just because my sister is psycho, doesn’t mean I am. I don’t want to kill people anymore,” he faked a sob, letting his breath catch in his throat. “She killed our dad to become the alpha. She’ll kill me too if she finds out I’ve been here. Please – you gotta let me in, or I’m  as good as dead the second you turn me away.”

Eva grinned, the wicked smile pulling over her lips looking positively devilish. “See, this is why I love you.” The word love nearly stuck in her throat, even when she was only teasing. The very notion of love sickened her to her core. Giving someone that kind of power over you? Why would anyone be that stupid?” “Well, this is me giving you formal permission to rip them apart.” She smirked when he started to tear up, slow clapping at his performance. “So sweet. Those dumb fuckers will eat that right up. Greyson might be a bit.. of a dick. He doesn’t seem to be fooled but he does want to save people from me, so that might help your case. You want the files on the pack to study before you go full method acting on me?”

“I rub it in his face every opportunity,” he smirked, giving her his signature crooked smile. He disliked Liam as much as she did, but possibly for different reasons. He had been in agreement with their father about the fact that they thought that giving him the bite would be too dangerous – for himself, and others. He kept quiet when she spoke of his intentions, choosing to not say anything at all in lue of pissing her off by questioning her further. “What were you thinking? There’s no good way to get into his gym without being detected. As shitty as that place is, it’s practically a fortress with him and those witches he keeps around.”

“Good boy.” She laughed, walking over to sit with him, patting his shoulder. She was skilled at acting like she cared about her siblings, she was charming enough that even they believed it. “You’ll keep an eye out for me, right? If he gains too many followers.. well, wolves go missing all the time after full moons, right?” She grinned, waiting for him to question her more, deciding to go easy on him when he didn’t. “Maybe not. Knight has a massive savior complex, so do the rest of them. If he thinks that you’re being victimized by me.. Or that you want to leave the pack because you’re just so terrified of me and my tyrannical ruling.. well, then, he might make an exception. But you’d have to be very convincing. Get in good with them, maybe slip them a few drugs, knock them out. We could probably turn a few after a weekend in the Cage.”

I just want some insight as to what’s going through your head,” he answered her in a calm tone, genuinely puzzled by what he’d seen unfold in the club. “Why can’t I just kill them, then? You know damn well that I’d be a better alpha than he is. Certainly better than Gideon and Knight. You know I’d never turn my back on you like Gideon did.” 

“I know you don’t. Which is why you’re my favorite. And, please, feel free to tell Liam that. He’s getting on my last fucking nerve. Does he really think that I don’t know that he’s trying to overthrow me?” She rolled her eyes, shaking her head at her other brother’s antics. She growled, thinking about him made her annoyed. “Because, he annoys me and I want him to suffer before I let him die. And besides, I need you here for now.” She glanced at the wall, the hollowed out one that contained The Cage and her drug den. “But if you want to help me fuck with him and his pack.. there are a few things I had in mind.”

“Murder? Me? What kind of person do you think I am?” Silas replied with a straight face, though there was a gleam in his eyes and a hint of sarcasm in his tone. “That alpha walked right into our territory, alone. Why the hell did you not take the oppurtunity to kill him? That would have solved the rival pack problem you’ve been having for years real quick.”

“I think you’re more like me than anyone else is.” Eva dropped the formalities when he started to question her, tilting her head to the side. “Are you suggesting I don’t know what I’m doing?” She asked, quirking a brow as she watched her brother- her favorite brother. She shrugged, standing to pour herself a drink. “Several reasons, not that I need to explain myself. One, he’s not a threat. Two, it’s fun to play with them before I kill them. Three, if I killed him then, his runts would become a problem. There aren’t that many of them, but I’m not going to waste that many wolves.”

“There you are.” Eva grinned at her little brother, looking up from her paper work in the dimly lit office. Setting down her pen, she leaned back in her chair. “I was just about to go looking for you. You were here for the almost showdown between Knight and I, right? Just making sure that you weren’t going to attempt murder quite yet.”

“I was seven. What do you think?” Greyson shoulders shrugged, for once, not withholding any information, because that was genuinely the only answer he had.

Greyson’s breathing caught in his throat immediately, eyes widening when she told him that she had had her wolves kill on his territory in order to bring him to her. She made it his idea, and it worked perfectly.  The hair on the back of his neck raised, unsettled by how she had managed to manipulate him. Him, of all people. “You wanted me to come here just to ask me about my views on death, exchange a few threats, and make fun of Gideon? You’ve got to be fucking kidding me.”

“I think that must have been hard on you. Did you have anyone else to protect you? Care for you? Is that why you have a savior complex? Because you couldn’t save him, you have to save your pathetic pack?” She sipped her drink, eyes trailing down his form as he spoke, wicked grin settling on her lips. “No. Not exactly.” She contended, shrugging her shoulders as she set down her drink, hopping up to breeze past him. “I just wanted to prove that I could. I have to say, I was disappointed that you came alone. I was hoping to get a better look at some of those betas. But no matter. I’ll get them next time.” She tilted her head to the side, grinning as she nodded to one of her bouncers. “Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have business to attend to. I’m sure you can see yourself out. Lovely to see you again, Greyson.” She stopped, clearing her throat she she face him. “And, dear, let’s not make a scene, shall we? I may have some self control, but my betas..” She tilted her head to the side, indicating the glances they were receiving from several of her runts. “Don’t. And like you said, some of them are just brainwashed, innocent of all this. You wouldn’t want to hurt any innocent, now would you?”

“Because my sole purpose in life is to entertain you,” Greyson said flatly, rolling his eyes with an unamused expression on his face. However, he took in a sharp, almost painful inhale as she pressed about his father. “Vampires,” he spat simply, knowing that would be self explanatory. It was no secret that he despised the leeches, no matter how good they claimed to be. It was an irrational hatred when it came to the small few who weren’t monsters, but there was no reasoning with Knight on this matter.

 “No thanks,”  he answered her, vaguely annoyed that she would randomly offer a gesture of hospitality halfway through this, when he was clearly not there for casual chit chat. Still, the manners Vivienne had instilled in him forced him to be somewhat polite, despite its lateness to the game. “You both try to rule your wolves. The only difference between the two of you is the fact that you’ve got a deceptively appealing face. What’s a few murders for a pretty woman?” he said, sarcastically, resentment hissing through his gritted teeth. 

“Glad you’ve accepted it.” Eva smirked, tilting her head to the side as she eyed him up. She nodded at his explanation. It certainly explained his referring to the species as ‘leeches.’ Most wolves weren’t fans of vampires but there was an edge to his hatred that ran thicker than mere annoyance. “You know who they were?” She asked, making a note to find that out for herself. Could be useful down the line. 

She shrugged off his snarled words, not surprised by them at all. The thanks struck her as odd until she remembered that his sister was quite polite herself. She ought to pay her visit now that she’d thought about it. “He tried. I do. I might not keep them on a leash or control them, but they do what I want them to. You were right, by the way. I wanted them to kill on your territory. I wanted to talk to you but.. Brooklyn is just so far away.” She smirked, sipping her martini as she eyed him once more. “Murder means nothing to me. It’s hunting, it’s fun. You could deal with Gideon but I think you know I’m much more capable than he is, much more willing to do whatever it takes to hold on to what I have. Face it sweetheart. You’ve dealt with Gideon, but you’ve never had to go toe to toe with a real alpha before. He was just crazy, but he was weak. I’m not. And I think you’re smart enough to realize that.” She smirked, waving her hand dismissively. “They won’t kill on your territory again. If I want to see you again, I’ll be sure to send a postcard. If that’s all you wanted.. Then you can go.”

“I’m not going to do anything if I don’t have to,” he said, shrugging. Vague as he was, he was not intentionally being ambiguous with his words; this was just one of his mannerisms, though it worked well for his favor. When she mentioned his father, he wished he hadn’t reacted, but reflexively every muscle tensed and his breath became shallow. Her fast change of subject prevented him from needing to acknowledge it with a response, though he was certain that his reaction had been feedback enough. “Don’t you think I know that? I’m brutally aware of the spotlight that’s on me here. But I’ll be damned if I let someone like Gideon or you take over. I’m too protective to trust anyone but myself with this.”

“Jesus fuck, be more vague. It’s thrilling to everyone involved to listen to you.” She snapped, annoyed by his constant state of ambiguity. She smirked at his response, tilting her head to the side. “Was that a murder too? Or was it work related?” She asked, deliberately baiting him now that she had gotten a response out of him. She shrugged, signaling for her bartenders to bring her another drink. “Then stop fucking bitching about it, hm? You want a drink?” She nodded, the smile on her lips too condescending to be genuine. “I know you are. And let’s not compare me to Gideon, hm? While we’re both slightly unhinged, he was a terrible alpha. Or at the very least, a weak one.”

“Never said anything about torture, either,” Greyson added, his tone and facial expression undetectable in that moment. “Whatever potential I may have, I can achieve on my own. I don’t need you, or Antoinette, Morgan, or Vivienne to set guidelines for me. Expectations will lead to disappointment with me,” he replied stoically, not flinching when she pointed out his response to the death itself. “I’m no stranger to death. Death has never bothered me. But, death is a catalyst that lights a fire that can’t always be put out. It causes a butterfly effect. There are repercussions to my actions. One mistake and I could lose everything. If you’re so insistent on analyzing me, that’s what it boils down to. The consequences of my mistakes.”

“Then what exactly do you plan on doing to me that I couldn’t do to everyone you’ve ever met?” Eva was silent as he spoke, crossing her arms as she leaned back against the bar. “Well, that’s a pretty startling admission, Mr. Knight. But unlike your sister and the witches, I don’t expect anything from you. I think you could become a great alpha. I also think you could die with my claws buried in your chest but I’ve been an alpha and a wolf long enough not to expect anything from anyone. As for your brushes with death, it’s still not a normal response. Did you react the same way when your father died?” She asked, moving on to her next line of questioning without missing a beat. “You know, being an alpha, it comes with baggage. Not only responsibility, but also people watching you constantly. If you’re so pissy about people evaluating you, you might want to rethink being in a position of leadership.”

“I never said I’d kill you. I don’t like to get that specific. There are a lot of things that are worse than death,” he said, unable to stop himself from envisioning his own personal hells. His eyebrows furrowed critically, and he starred at her with an emotion other than anger, for once. She was so determined to make him out to be the bad guy, meanwhile everyone else in his life insisted that he was the opposite. He was curious now; not absent of anger, still, but curious. “Why are you so damn set on trying to prove that I’m whatever it is you wish I was? I’m not a good man, but I’m not a bad man, either. It was the most logical thing to do at the time. Period, case, and point. You can’t convince me otherwise.”

“And you think you’re capable of torturing me? Or doing whatever a fate worse than death entails? I think we can both agree I’m more twisted than you are.” She thought for a moment, shrugging. “Well, I genuinely think that’s what you are, that’s not what I want you to be. You’re morally ambiguous, which is strange considering most everyone around you is very black and white. I just think you have potential and you can’t achieve that without being good or bad, whatever you think that means. You being darker would be better for everyone, or for me at least. And the fact that you are so calm about the whole thing, yet, so desperate to prove that you wouldn’t dare take an innocent life makes me question your reason for killing Gideon. I mean, yes, it had to be done, no one is agruing that. But.. most people would be a bit more torn up about it. And you don’t seem too upset about his death. Maybe about how it makes you and the pack look, but not about him dying. And that’s not me, that’s just you.”
