I know I had already drawn Emma, but like Clary I felt the need to give this work a second chance, as I noticed my tecnique has improved a little :) Plus, I wanted Cortana to match exactly with the Cordelia’s one, since I modified it slightly 😁

Another Shadowhunter boy… Alexander Gideon Lightwood from the Mortal Instruments series by @cassandraclare. Alec is really well described and also, pretty much every other artist had a similar idea of his physical traits. I actually like Alec, I mean, he has such a beautiful evolution from angry boy to an amazing *spoiler alert* father and husband. Cassandra Clare did an amazing job with this character and also, I have to admit, Matthew Daddario made me love him even more haha. Hope you like it!💙

“He wants us to call it a morning star,” said Clary, even more gloomily. “You’re not even a Morgenstern,” she said to Jace. “I’m a Morgenstern.”

“I’m still closely associated with the name,” Jace insisted. “I was just feeling like—can I pull off having a morning star as my signature weapon? Is it me?”

“Of course you can, honey,” said Clary. “Look,” she added to Alec. “I see the concern on your face. I figure we let this run its course for a week or so. If it doesn’t burn out by then we can step in.”

“Fair enough,” said Alec.

Loweana was kind enough to illustrate the Whispering Room scene from Chain of Gold! Love the little details, down to the bowl of fruit on the desk. Cordelia’s bronze dress was one of my favorite wardrobe items to describe, too.

Now with James Herondale. The emperor and empress Major Arcana cards from the tarot by Gabriella Bujdoso: the Emperor card represents leadership, and a mastery over the “worlds of matter” — dimensions, perhaps! I love how James’ crown is shadows, and Cordelia’s is fire.
