Bryan took in his breath of fresh air, looking around at the town in front of him. As much as he had asked to be allowed to find a job, he also simply wanted the chance to look around and see anything that wasnât the bars of his cell. Heâd had a shower that morning and it had possibly been the best shower heâd ever had, even as the cold water raked over his body, smearing off the grime. Now, at least he was clean though he was still not a free man. He was enjoying the small break of sunlight when, all of a sudden, someone ran into him. âWatch where youâre going.â
How was this rental turning out to be one of the worst? It was only her third, but it was nearing a tie with the first, which she was still scarred from. Lucy shivered as she walked through the town, grateful that she could at least still go to work and wander a bit, as humiliating as it was to be deprived of all clothing the entire time. She stared at the ground, stuck in something of a daze until she bumped into something â well, someone. "Right, s-sorry." Since she didn't feel like looking up to see if they were human or supernatural, she just took the easy route and apologized.
