One of the best things about living in D.C. is the annual High Heel Drag Race, which is exactly what it sounds like. Photo galleries here, here and here.

Creative and insanely hilarious all at the same time. Awesome tattoo.
Never heard of him until today, but I have a feeling that he will be finding a permanent residence in my iTunes.
Love incase...they always come out with products that are just clean and minimalistic in design and for me that is what it is all about. This material looks like it is actually very functional for its use, soft and cushioned, probably the way to go when you're trying to protect a thousand dollars worth of equipment. Probably not the best for the rainy season but it will probably get the job done with some ellegance in any other conditions.
Someone has created the perfect listen-while-driving album. It is called Days. It is the sophomore effort of Real Estate.
Our music critic swoons:
Real Estate doesn’t share Bruce Springsteen’s zeal or Zip code, but few contemporary rock albums feel as American as “Days.” This music comes from a place where Exxon station canopies glow like beacons in the boredom. The band reinforces that sense of bittersweet stasis with cyclical riffs that resemble R.E.M. (or the Clean, or Built to Spill, or even Fleetwood Mac), walking lazy laps around the track behind the high school. There are some jangled chords, some bright guitar leads and a rhythm section that operates somewhere between shy and proud.
C'mon son...We all know that little girl is going to be a straight up pile of bones in about a second.

Just Blaaaaaze!!!!!!! Killed this track as is expected. Ross did his thing too. If they get together for an entire album I'm guaranteeing that it will be a classic, and it's been a minute since this style of Rap has produced a classic, so that's saying a lot.
Thought this was really cool how you could get these all customized. Bit of a rip off if you buy any of the product straight from them. But if you already bought it and want to get it customized most of them aren't too expensive. Definitely one way to stand out from everyone one else with an iPhone or iPad 2.
Thought this was a cool look at how powerful T-Shirts are. I think it's one of those pieces of clothing that get so quickly overlooked, but they are usually a pretty important part of our wardrobe on a day to day basis.
Wow Mayor Hawthorne with a Chromeo cover?!?!?!!?! They should actually try to play this genre of music more often they have an awesome sound.
Excited to be able to finally see them live and at an awesome venue. Lollapalooza is going to be awesome this year.
There is just something so amazing about DC i've been there only twice but I have always fallen in love with the city as soon as I step foot in it. Its more than just what it represents for our country, its that hint of European flare it makes it a city beyond regal. I think what really allures me though is the mystery that it is shrouded in. there are just so many hidden places and architecture that you could explore for years and never see it all. Pretty much half of the city is underground and it is so deceiving that under the most typical generic building there are huge chasms of secrets that build its foundations. Well I guess you can definitely tell that I'm in love. I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking.
New York Mets vs Washington Nationals at Nationals Ballpark. July 29th 2011
This was an awesome game there were no home runs but we just played solid ball. It was a game that saw 12 hits and 8 runs by the Mets. Sat right behind the Mets dugout and rooted for the boys from Flushing with the rest of the Mets faithful that occupied the section. Always fun to chant LETS GO METS at an opposing teams stadium. This has been one of the best seasons for me even though we may not make the playoffs, there is a lot of promise with our young players and the way that Jose has been playing it makes more than just Mets fans excited about the game. Always good to look up at the scoreboard and see that your All-Star Short Stop who also bats lead off is hitting .340 with 20+ RBIs and 72 runs scored just a few games after the All-Star Break.
That being said there's only one thing left to say...LETS GO METS!!!!!
Barcelona vs Man U at FedEx Field. July 30th 2011
This is one of the greatest sporting events that I have been blessed to be a part of. Even though Barça lost it was still amazing to see some of my favorite players (Iniesta and Villa) and even some other stars that Man U had brought along (Rooney and Nani). Heres a few shots that captured the event for me.
Collection of 1940s NYC. Crazy to see that not too much has changed in the city.
