Kal stood in the hall waiting to be summoned, she had her hair done up and her make up done like her kingdom as well as her clothes she had worn upon coming here, she wanted to make it clear she wasn’t just someone making up tall tales and that she was a queen who needed help.

When the door opened she felt her stomach churn in knots as she took a deep breath and entered with her head held high facing the council

“Queen Kalleira Callista of the moon kingdom.” The servant announced to some worried whispers in response Kal cleared her throat to gain their attention once more

“I know many of you have not heard of my kingdom for we went into hiding many years ago. I’m sure many of you have noticed the lack of camoires in your kingdom as well and I’m afraid that’s because the vampires have made their way into my kingdom. My mother struck a deal with Asmodeus to have me killed and instead I escaped here, I fear my mother may have further plans with Asmodeus than just allowing the vampires eternal darkness and in order to stop them before it gets out of hand I’ve come here to beg for the help of the goddess lands.” Kal told them bowing her head to them

“by helping my kingdom I will reopen the boarders and allow trade and peace between the kingdoms and you will all have my eternal gratitude.”

“because that’s comforting for her to hear,” saige siad glaring at jas a bit Kal smiled

“I appreciate all of your help thank you,” she said to them but she feared without the powers of the goddess and the island itself that her cause was lost.

“I am not letting her get her hopes up, that would be far crueller. We can always appeal the council decision in a months time.” Jas held up both his hands.

“Now who’s getting her hopes up,” Brodie rolled his eyes.

Artemis sat looking at the council room buzzed from the hum of discussion as decisions were made. “Has the council come to its’ decision?”

"I say we speak with the goddess before we make our decision official" Meredith suggested

"why? The goddess is one to worship however it seems the majority of us have already made our decision. At this point we should only bother her if we wish for her to participate or guide us. And if we ask her to participate we put her in danger" Julia said standing

"Artemis I believe your friend has the right to hear it from you or perhaps your husband if you wish to remain seated"

"I think if we have the Advatage of the sea and the sky that we may have a chance." Meredith chimed in "plus knowing that pirate kingdom, and I mean this as respectfully as possible queen Artemis, if we don't side with them they'll do it any way and that could give Asmodeus even more land."

Jasper didn’t say a word but from where Selena sat she could tell he was uncomfortable, his mannerisms and the way he kept playing with his sleeve Selena raised her hand and stood when she got a few laughs at her childish action “My apologies p-prince Vlad but i-i don’t think I understand, why are dragons a p-problem?” She asked timidly she knew she had no idea what a goliath Dragon was and Artemis was younger than her, their generation being rather blind to their knowledge Selena noticed a few eye rolls and such perhaps at her innocence which only seemed to make her feel more uncomfortable and nervous “I’m sorru, but I don’t know of dragons other than the ones in pictures and fairy tales, Iif like to be able to offer assistance but if I don’t know what it is how can I judge properly or know to warn my people about? I can’t just tell them to watch out for dragons if Prince Vlad is bringing them back” Selena tried to justify among all these eyes she felt very small and very judged Aelia smiled gently “Thank you for pointing this out princess, there is a bit of a generation gap among us here, and some of us have struggled with memory charms before so we may not know or Renner the threat that is also here. I know many rulers that would have been to embarrassed to ask this question and would have rather continued with their heads in the sand than ask. Thank you on their behaves for not being afraid to speak out.” Aelia told her Selena smiled feeling feeling bit better and sat again

Vlad’s eyes sparkled and he held out a hand to Princess Selena. “Would you like to pet her? Feel her? Learn about her? She is a cloudjumper, she will grow to be more than double her current size. When she is full grown I will be able to ride her, if she lets me. Right now she is only a baby, so she acts a lot like a dog would.” He looked around, Ziya whined softly and nuzzled into him. He placed a hand on her head calming her. “She can sense how nervous some of you are.” He chuckled. “When she is at her full length she is only a fourth of the size of my Grandfather’s Goliath. Her food source consists of Cattle and large fish, rarely if food is scarce a couple of sheep. Never humans. The Goliath lived when Giants roamed this island still, before the Mountain Kingdom was established. That was their food source, so how my Grandfather has kept it alive is beyond me. I want the dragons to live but that Nightmare of a dragon cannot there is no food source and a dragon without a food source makes one. That means other dragons, humans whatever it can get for it’s belly. That means Ziya and my dragons, your people, and mine are all in danger, as long as it lives.”

Vlad stood before the council a somber expression waiting for everyone to arrive. It pained him that his ally Queen Julia would not be present. Her dragons were already safely moved to Dragon Isle from the Temple.

Roesia took a seat next to her beloved taking the young mer’s hand. “Hello,” her Queenly self already at peace with Selena there at her side any news could be well taken.

Selena jumped and looked up at her relaxing when she saw who it was, she stood and hugged her beloved happily

Trenton approached Vlad as well and offered a smile, “Hello my dear friend?”

Roesia embraced her lover and kissed her warmly. “I trust that Horatio and you have gotten reacquainted with each other?” He offered Trenton his arm to grasp to then pull the man into a hug. He considered Trenton family. Damian arrived not long behind them at his beloved Gracia’s side.

Gracia took her seat gripping her husband’s hand tightly, so many rumors going around it was hard to keep track of what was or wasn’t true

Trenton nodded “Yes we had a long discussion and some needed rest” Trenton told him smiling “Everyone please take your seats!” Meredith called from the door “we begin in just a few mi utes everyone who is coming is hopefully here.”

When everyone was sat and settled Meredith stood "The goddess Aelia and Prince Vlad have called this meeting for attentiin, this is usually my turn to lead however I'd like to allow them to lead seeing as they have important information for us." “Yes, thought we try not to use our abilities too often as it does draw attention.” He smiled, “It is equally fascinating for me as well. Not many get to see nor hear about the Sky Kingdom.”

“We try to stay private, we don’t think the flat foots would understand” robin told him as she came back to grab some lemonade “Some of the kids refer to the islanders as island dwellers or flat foots” Meredith added as an explanation

“Thought most every kingdom had an advisor and a council”

“My people have become so small we haven’t got any Lords.” He looked at her. “We numbered well over ten thousand when my Grandfather ruled, after the curse and other tragedies; my people’s numbers dwindled, we only number over a few hundred.”

“That explains a bit more,” Peter chuckled “we have three districts in our lands and an elected representatives from each. They’re voted in from the time they are twenty five or older until their retirement or passing, from there they become a Lord on our council. They help us,keep things organized you see.” Peyer explained to him “So my council is three representatives, then my advisor and my son skylar being the eldest. Oh and of course my wife when she,wishes to attend meetings” Peter explained to him happily

“Sounds very wonderful,” Vlad smiled. “I miss having all of my people.” He nodded. “But I am glad you seek the council of your advisers and son, most importantly your wife.”

Meredith nodded “I agree, I wanted to invite you here to establish friendship, hope to give you a break from all business talk yoi mist be doing.” Meredith told him “I hear Julia is having a ball soon, you think it would be safe to allow my younglings to go?” Meredith asked him curious she had never let her children go to the balls before she always feared for their safety and it had been a big part of her husband’s anxiety as well but she thought perhaps allowing one to accompany her and Peter this year wouldn’t be a problem

“I don’t know,” Vlad frowned thoughtfully. “I suppose that if they aren’t allowed to go anywhere they will never experience anything.” He looked at her. “Can they call it living if they never get to do anything beyond home?” He asked her calmly.

Meredith shrugged a bit “They seem to do ok, except Robin she is far to much her father’s girl I’ve caught her sneaking off a few times” Meredith told him “The war on magic is going to come down hard and unlike certain others we can’t hide it.”

He nodded, “My people can’t all hide it some their magic glows around them at all times even when no sun or moonshines. Even then it isn’t as obvious as the wings of your people.” Vlad empathized. “I wish that there was no looming war. Just peace. I don’t remember so many conflicts so long ago.”

“Any war only stirs more darkness, as time goes on more will appear until the next goddess is born and then we will either have an age of peace or an age of chaos.” Meredith told him sighing it was a sad truth she looked up at Vlad and offered a small smile “You best keep an eye on the goddess, she has no knights as of yet and there are some who also know this truth and may want to take fate to their own hands.”

“No knights?” He looked at her, “there are knights that have come to her aid. They hail from the future and I recognize them from their past lives. However we keep an eye on her.” He smiled. “She is like our Mother.”

Meredith quirked a brow at him knights from tthe future? Now she’ bed heatd everything. “None the less the girl is still young and learning. Just because she is the goddess doesn’t mean she is perfect yet”

“I know that, you know that, most other royals do. However the people don’t. Yet I think she is getting the hang of things.”

Meredith nodded a little bit “We’ll have to see then won’t we?” Meredith asked smiling as she looked over to her children again only for a pair of arms to wrap around her and her husband kissed her cheek “Hello love, how goes the lunch?” Peter asked as Skylab greeted both royals with a bow before joining his siblings

Meredith smiled "This is king Vlad of the white lighters," Meredith introduced as Peter sat beside Meredith "Forgive me for not joining sooner I was in a meeting with my eldest and my council" Peter told him Meredith smiled and leaned into her husband's shoulder

Meredith nodded “I agree, I wanted to invite you here to establish friendship, hope to give you a break from all business talk yoi mist be doing.” Meredith told him “I hear Julia is having a ball soon, you think it would be safe to allow my younglings to go?” Meredith asked him curious she had never let her children go to the balls before she always feared for their safety and it had been a big part of her husband’s anxiety as well but she thought perhaps allowing one to accompany her and Peter this year wouldn’t be a problem

“I don’t know,” Vlad frowned thoughtfully. “I suppose that if they aren’t allowed to go anywhere they will never experience anything.” He looked at her. “Can they call it living if they never get to do anything beyond home?” He asked her calmly.

Meredith shrugged a bit “They seem to do ok, except Robin she is far to much her father’s girl I’ve caught her sneaking off a few times” Meredith told him “The war on magic is going to come down hard and unlike certain others we can’t hide it.”

He nodded, “My people can’t all hide it some their magic glows around them at all times even when no sun or moonshines. Even then it isn’t as obvious as the wings of your people.” Vlad empathized. “I wish that there was no looming war. Just peace. I don’t remember so many conflicts so long ago.”

“Any war only stirs more darkness, as time goes on more will appear until the next goddess is born and then we will either have an age of peace or an age of chaos.” Meredith told him sighing it was a sad truth she looked up at Vlad and offered a small smile “You best keep an eye on the goddess, she has no knights as of yet and there are some who also know this truth and may want to take fate to their own hands.”

“No knights?” He looked at her, “there are knights that have come to her aid. They hail from the future and I recognize them from their past lives. However we keep an eye on her.” He smiled. “She is like our Mother.”
