North by Northwest (1959) dir. Alfred Hitchcock
Monday Movie Rec: Running on Empty (1988)
Plot: The eldest son of a fugitive family comes of age and wishes to live his own life.
Starring: River Phoenix, Martha Plimpton, Judd Hirsch, Christine Lahti, and Jonas Abry
Director: Sidney Lumet (12 Angry Men, Serpico, Murder on the Orient Express, etc.)
Review: I really enjoyed this! There's not a ton of action but that didn't bother me. Obviously the directing was great, but I also really enjoyed the performances of River Phoenix and Christine Lahti. I enjoyed the romance plot and thought the depiction of the family being on the run was cleverly done.
