Stand with LGBTQ+ Refugees Facing Crisis in South Sudan.
Hello everyone, my name is Ricky. I am a queer refugee in Sout… Julie Santonja a besoin de votre soutien pour Support LGBTQ people in ref
💔 A Heartfelt Appeal to Our LGBTQ+ Community 💔
To our fellow LGBTQ+ friends and allies,
We are queer refugees living in a place where homophobia makes it difficult for us to live safely and nearly impossible to find work. Right now, we are struggling with hunger and other basic needs, and we are asking for your compassion.
It has been 7 days since our last donation, and we are finding it harder and harder to survive. We are worried because we don't know where our next meal will come from.
If you are able to help, no matter how small the donation, it can make a real difference. And if you can't donate, please consider reblogging or sharing our fundraiser so that more people can see our story.
Your kindness gives us hope and helps us keep going. Thank you to everyone who has stood with us—we are deeply grateful.
❤️ Please don't forget us. Your support is our lifeline.
Every day is a struggle for us as queer refugees. Many of us face discrimination that makes it difficult or impossible to find work, and we often go without enough food, medicine, or other basic necessities.
We are sharing our story not to seek pity, but to ask for compassion. Every donation, no matter how small, helps us buy food, access medical care, and meet our most urgent needs. If you are unable to donate, sharing this post can also make a real difference by helping us reach more kind-hearted people.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us and stood with us. Your kindness reminds us that we are not alone.
❤️ Please consider donating if you are able or share this post to help spread our story.
I want to say that I'm not sharing these graphic pictures to scare or upset anyone. I'm sharing them because I want to show the reality of the situation we're living in. These images reflect the hardships we face every day, and I hope they help people understand why we're asking for support. Your kindness, compassion, and any help you can offer truly make a difference. Thank you for taking the time to listen and care.
Dear friends,
Please keep supporting us if you can. Your kindness is truly our lifeline. We are still struggling every day, and we cannot survive without your help.
As queer refugees, we face discrimination that makes it extremely difficult to find work and earn enough to meet our basic needs. Because of this, we depend on the compassion of people like you.
Every donation, no matter the amount, helps us buy food, access medical care, and cover other essential needs. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing our fundraiser with others. That support means just as much.
Thank you for standing with us and giving us hope. Your kindness reminds us that we are not alone. ❤️
Dear friends,
Please don't forget about us. Every act of kindness makes a real difference. Even if you could contribute toward a goal of $ 100 each week, it would help us buy food and meet our most urgent needs.
We are still struggling to get enough to eat, and your support helps us get through each week. If there is anyone who is able to help this week, we would be deeply grateful. Your generosity could mean the difference between going hungry and having a decent meal.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us, shared our story, or kept us in your thoughts. Your kindness gives us hope.
To everyone who has donated to support our LGBTQ+ refugee group, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your kindness has helped us through an incredibly difficult time and reminded us that we are not alone.
We are still facing an emergency. Many of us continue to struggle with food, safe shelter, and other basic necessities, and every contribution makes a real difference.
If you're able to help, no matter the amount, your support could provide hope and essential assistance to people in urgent need. If you can't donate, please consider sharing our fundraiser with your friends and community. Every share helps us reach someone who may be able to lend a hand.
Thank you to everyone who has stood with us. Your compassion gives us strength to keep going. ❤️🏳️🌈

Ey perdón por no publicar la semana pasada, he estado ocupada con asuntos familiares y no tuve tiempo para terminar nada pero ya puedo mostrar algo de avance de mi comic en compensación por mi ausencia :’3
Dear friends
I hope you're doing well. I wanted to share a little about why I sometimes reach out for help.
I have been through many difficult challenges. While I was living in Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya, four of my friends lost their lives. Two other friends and I survived dangerous attacks, and after support for LGBTQ+ refugees came to an end, we had no choice but to leave Kenya and seek safety in South Sudan.
Sadly, life here has also been very difficult. Once people in the local community learned that we are LGBTQ+, we faced discrimination and have been unable to find work simply because of who we are. Every day is a struggle to meet even our most basic needs.
I'm sharing this not to make you feel obligated or to depend on others. I'm simply trying to survive and support the friends who are still with me in the camp while we wait for the chance to build a safer future. Some of our friends have already been able to relocate to Canada, and I continue to hope that one day our turn will come too.
We do have a fundraiser, but it hasn't been very active, and the donations we receive are often not enough to cover even our basic necessities.
Thank you all for taking the time to read my message and for listening with an open heart. Please take good care of yourself.
We never chose to become refugees. We never wanted to come to social media asking strangers for help. We are here because discrimination and persecution forced us into this situation, and even in the camp, we continue to face rejection because we are transgender and LGBTQ+.
I came here to raise awareness in the hope of finding kind-hearted people who understand what it feels like when almost everyone is against you. For many LGBTQ+ people in Africa, surviving each day is an enormous challenge.
What hurts the most is that many people immediately assume we are scammers simply because we are asking for help. I understand that people need to be careful online, and I respect that. That is why I am always willing to provide more information, including photos, videos, or even arrange a video call, so you can see that our situation is real.
If you cannot donate, I completely understand. But please consider sharing our story or showing compassion instead of assuming the worst. Your kindness, understanding, and support could make a real difference in our lives.
Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to listen and stand with us. It means more than words can express. ❤️
It has been 12 days since our last donation, and our situation is becoming more urgent every day. We need your help now more than ever.
Every donation, no matter how small, helps us buy food and meet our most basic needs. Your kindness is truly our lifeline and gives us hope during an incredibly difficult time.
If you are able to donate or share our fundraiser with others, please do. Your support can make a real difference.
Thank you to everyone who has stood with us. We are deeply grateful for every act of kindness. ❤️🙏
Dear friends,
We are deeply grateful to everyone who has supported us so far. Your kindness has helped us survive during this very difficult time.
Right now, we are once again asking for your help. We are struggling to find enough food in the refugee camp, and every donation, no matter how small, helps us buy something to eat.
If you are able to donate or share our fundraiser with others, it would mean so much to us. Your compassion gives us hope and reminds us that we are not alone.
Thank you for standing with us and keeping us in your thoughts. ❤️
I share these photos not to scare anyone, but to help people understand the fear and danger we face every day in this camp. Recently, one of our friends was attacked in his home and severely beaten simply because of who he is. Sadly, this is the reality many LGBTQ+ refugees here live with.
I'm only trying to raise awareness about our situation and help people understand why we are asking for support. Thank you for taking the time to listen and care.
Dear friends,
We are asking for your continued support during this incredibly difficult time. Every donation, no matter how small, helps us buy food, clean water, and other basic necessities so we can survive.
Our resettlement process was supposed to take us to the USA last year, where we hoped to rebuild our lives and find work. Unfortunately, changes to U.S. travel policies put our journey on hold, leaving us stranded in the refugee camp with no stable source of income.
Until our situation changes, your kindness is what keeps us going. If you are able, please consider donating or sharing our fundraiser with others. Your generosity gives us hope and helps us make it through each day.
Thank you for standing with us during this difficult time. We are deeply grateful for every act of compassion and support.
Hello @homicidaldirtmuppet, and whoever donated to us. Thank you so much for your generous donations. Because of your kindness, we were able to have food, and it brought us so much relief during this difficult time.
Your support has made a real difference in our lives, and we are deeply grateful for your compassion and generosity. Thank you for standing with us and giving us hope. We truly appreciate your help and will never forget your kindness.
Refugees in South Sudan are in need of help.
LGBTQ+ Refugees who are residing in South Sudan are severely in need of help and support. Everyday, they face discrimination and extreme violence. They also struggle to get access to food, a safe shelter, and basic medical care because of their identity.
Many who had come to South Sudan are from other countries like Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Ethiopia to avoid the discrimination they endured in their home countries, coming to South Sudan to hopefully find a safer place. Unfortunately, many are still in danger.
That is why I'm asking you to please share this post or post your own, to tell people you know or find ways to help, even if you have no money to spare. All they have asked of me is to spread awareness of what is currently happening to get the help they need to be safe and live happily without the fear of discrimination.
Here is a fundraiser that will help the LGBTQ+ refugees that I have been provided:
https://gofund.me/fd0c380c7
Even a small amount helps out significantly. And if you can't spare money, share it around, maybe someone else can.
