No matter your answer, you have another opportunity right now
Where can we go when, in Africa, we are suffering without democracies to protect us? When we flee our countries, we hope that places like America and other democratic nations will be safe for members of the LGBTQ+ community. Right now, we are a group of transgender refugees in a camp in Africa, struggling to survive. We barely have access to food, medication, or basic necessities. Many of us are suffering from H.pylori infections due to unsafe drinking water and poor sanitation. We are also battling typhoid and malaria without access to proper medical care. On top of this, transphobia within the refugee camp prevents us from working or securing shelter, we are forced to sleep outside because we lack enough shelter to accommodate us which isn’t safe . We need your help to ensure that all LGBTQ+ people, especially transgender refugees, can live safely and with dignity. Please, stand with us and help make a difference. 🏳️⚧️
🌍 Please donate today and be part of our fighting for survival. Your kindnes can help improve and even our lives
🏳️🌈 URGENT: Homeless Queer Refugees in Kakuma Need Help 🆘
Right now, LGBTQ+ refugees in Kakuma Refugee Camp are suffering in silence. Many of us have been forced to flee our countries because of who we are only to face homophobia, starvation, and homelessness even here.
We sleep outside without proper shelters.
We struggle for food and clean water every day.
We have no access to work, healthcare, or safety.
Those living with HIV, pneumonia, and cancer are dying in isolation due to lack of treatment and discrimination. Every day feels like a fight just to stay alive. 💔
We urgently need support, visibility, and action from the global community. Your help whether through donations, amplifying our voices, or connecting us with humanitarian organizations can save lives.
Please don’t turn away. Stand with us. Share our story. Help us survive. 🕊️
Note; We don't have a campaign on that we can add to our posts so that we can get help through it. Please you can donate via worldremit on the mob number below and it will reach direct to us.

Ever since I left my home country Uganda, life hasn't been easy at all. Being a lesbian put my life at risk as the community turned against me and my family abandoned me, I was attacked by the community and i couldn't handle the situation and the only option i had was to flee the country. I went to kenya to seek asylum but the situation there got more worse. My fellow refugees who were homophobic attacked me several times. Every time I tried to report to police, nothing positive came from it until i decided to relocate to a nother country. Currently I'm in SouthSudan, although i managed to escape from those two countries, my situation is still worse. Here im reaching out to all my queer family for support and assistance.
While all the posts I make asking for help are important, this one is about a very important opportunity for someone whose campaign I have been sharing for while now.
Kakebezi (@kakebezifb1) had been hoping to leave Kenya's Kakuma Refugee Camp, where they had been struggling against precarious conditions and discrimination for a very long time, to start life once again in Canada.
They have been approved to go there, and their trip is this Friday!
This is a huge step for them, and their fellow queer refugees are overjoyed at their chance to have a safe and happy life as everyone deserves to have! However, this is not only a very promising moment, but also a critical junction, because they need a lot of donations for this coming trip.
This is their GoFundMe focused on their move to Canada.
Please donate, even the smallest donation helps them in their journey towards the safety and dignity they are owed after so much difficulty. If you can't donate, then please share, because this is extremely important!
Hello friends, we’ve been through a lot with me helping my freind Linda, and it seems we’ve been pushed back to square one. If you dork know, my freind Linda is a single mother and queer refugee living in South Sudan after fleeing her home country Uganda, she is currently very sick with yellow fever and in a bad situation! What had happened and the reason her gofundme has paused donations is because since I’m under 18, I was not allowed to transfer funds unless I had a guardian to act as a beneficiary for the campaign, but I didn’t have any guardians who could or wanted to. All said no due to lack of trust and time constraints. We then lost contact with her when Tumblr staff did what Tumblr staff does best and unfairly deleted her account.
Please message my freind : @bonarehemah , if you are interested in helping her. I want you to message her and not me! I need someone who is over the age of 18 and has the ability to organize the campaign with Linda. I’ve had bad experiences with so called “crowdfunding experts” who turned out to be scams, cost money for their services, or could not help in the way we needed them to. Any help matters, what I need is someone to message Linda’s blog, say they are able to organize a campaign on websites like Gofundme or Chuffed, but any fundraising site works ! Please reply to me if you have something to say, but I’d prefer if you could primary contact Linda and be able to communicate with her instead of talking through me! I’m simply spreading the word and trying to help my freind!
English is not her first language so be patient, she doesn’t have a bank account but you can send the funds through a website called Remitly, through her Ugandan mobile money number! She can provide verification if you ask! Thank you to everyone who has helped her!
trans people all around the world are fighting for their rights to exist
This beautiful young transgender person, Ashley Miles, is fighting for her own and her community's right to live in a homophobic and transphobic society of East African countries. She and her fellow refugees have been living in a Gorom camp in South Sudan the past year. They're not welcome anywhere they go. Starved and homeless they face violence, the justice is never brought in cases with hate crimes against queer individuals. Daily they are in stressful and horrifying circumstances, adding to that is a war in Sudan.
Their camp was burned and demolished by homophobic aggressors just by the end of year 2024. Their people are being beaten and humiliated and raped. Their kids don't get a chance at education. They are vulnerable to illnesses and infections. They rarely have their hands on HIV/AIDS medication. With Trump's administration refusing entrance to refugees they have lost a great amount of opportunities to immigrate.
It's not fair. And Ashley is actively trying to get attention to her community's needs. Check out her blog (@ashleymilesphil ), donate and spread their stories.
