Emergency Relief
Seeking relief in order to stay warm and safe through the holiday season.
A series of unfortunate events has lead me into homelessness, occasionally leaving my spouse and I to sleep in our vehicle which holds the last of the belongings from our old life. This morning we discovered one of our tires had something stuck in it and was totally flat. We canāt afford a new tire right now, weāve been putting off getting an oil change for over a month already.
The vehicle is all we have. Selling it is not an option. We both have jobs and pay our car payment, insurance, phone bills, etc. But we have been so stretched thin we do not have any spare funds at all, and we donāt have family who are able to assist us through this difficult time.
I am asking for relief in order to help us survive until the New Year. Getting to and from our jobs is our number one priority, and public transportation is not an option where we are.
Thank you so much for reading.
Peace and love,Ā
Oliver GrahamĀ

what's the difference between a libfem, intersectional, and a radfem? i see a lot of angry posts about both and i'm trying to learn more about feminism so it's very confusing? (only answer if ya feel like it i totally understand its not your obligation!)
Alright so I, like you, am a little unclear on this. So I turned to my good friend Jai who just graduated with a Bachelorās in Gender, Sexuality & Womensā Studies and is just an all-around badass feminist, and they gave me this awesome response. They also run a pretty new YouTube channel, LGBTQ&A, where you can ask questions about queer stuff. Itās great. Okay, here ya go-
āAlright, lemme give this a crack. Radfem is both hardest and easiest to define - itās original usage was to describe a certain brand of radical feminism during (primarily) the second wave of feminism. 2nd wave radfems were the ones who promoted ideas like political lesbianism - having sex & relationships exclusively with other women, regardless of primary sexual preference - and the idea that all heterosexual sex is rape. Most Secondwave Radfems will also be somewhat biologically deterministic - men and women are different, because biology, and men can never be women and women can never be men, and this isnāt necessarily a bad thing. (Honestly, to me, it sounds a lot like "separate but equalā rhetoric from the civil rights era.) Modern day Radfems are often either secondwavers whoāre just still doing the same thing, or young 3rd wavers whoāre having a really strong reaction to the rhetoric presented by the media and society and thus choose to go against it in every single way. Radfem is often used as a pejorative by more moderate feminists, although it is claimed as a title by some feminists.Ā
Libfem is (essentially) the opposite of Radfem. Libfems often work āwithinā the system to do their feminism - thereās a crossover between libfem and whatās often called āfunfemā (mean people who donāt really care about the hard work and the fight, and just want to have/do the fun parts of feminism.) Libfems also arose during secondwave, although I couldnāt say whether thatās as a response to Radfems or the other way around, or what. Libfem ideology is generally the āsoftā stuff - itās about choice and agency, and a woman can choose to do a thing, and that makes it okay for her. Libfems are often accused of ignoring the systematic oppressions which can cause women to āchooseā one path or another (sex work, stay at home mom), when they havenāt actually got the choice at all. Libfems also tend to be criticised for being primarily middle class and white (which is often a criticism leveled against Radfems, come to think of it), which means that their focus on choice and agency ignores (like I said) the systematic opprssions which force many women of colour into āchoosingā a path which they might not have otherwise done.
The best path, in my opinion, lies somewhere in the middle. This is where intersectionality comes in. Intersectionality is the acknowledgement and practice of consciously listing (bad word choice, trying to find a different one) the different ways in which our experiences of oppression interact. Libfems and Radfems alike are accused of not being intersectional enough; both groups focus on womensā experiences /as women/, before anything else, while actual women may have much different ways of thinking about themselves. Intersectionality is the academic way of talking about privilege and oppression and the intersections of our various places in society. As an idea, it started in the late second wave, as a reaction to these white, straight, middle class women trying to tell other women how to be feminist. An intersectional approach to feminism will acknowledge that not all women have the same opportunities, that women of colour face extra oppression and stigma for being of colour as well as women. Queer women experience homophobia and/or transphobia, as well as misogyny. Poor women⦠&c.ā
So there you have it! If anybody has any questions or comments or more information about this, Iād love to continue this conversation (or of course you can continue it directly with Jai, but I wanna learn too!).
Queer kink tumblr mutuals community - I will be on this hellsite till I die. My backup blog is just memes and art and queer and sfw stuff. If you, too, have a sfw blog and want to follow me, lmk and I will give the url
Gimmeeee
24-hour log off protest
So because Iām againstĀ the new rules that Tumblr is trying to establish and basically kick out the biggest part of its community - I joining the 24-hour log off the protest and I encourageĀ youĀ toĀ do so as well.
Please do consider that some people literally earn their living this way and Iām not talking about cursed porn bots. No matter how big of a meme it has become that Tumblr users hate TumblrĀ - for the longest time it was the only platform that made it so easy to create a community for outcasts like us.
Even if you are not NSFW blog - this may indirectly affect you too. Itās a censorshipĀ on something that was previously allowed. Itās a broken flag system that is flagging CAT MEMES by accident.
Itās not the NSFW stuff we need to get rid off, staff! Itās bots, paedophiles and Nazis and otherĀ extremists and if you think that banning NSFW stuff is gonna get rid of those too then⦠Do you even know how to run a website?
Ā Anyways. >Donāt delete your accounts >Inform yourĀ followers >Donāt interact on Tumblr and log off on December 17 2018
Itās important for me to remain on tumblr, not just for the explicit content (which will be gone anyways) but to continue to exchange valuable information between marginalized groups.
The queer community is small but still growing; and since many of us want to maintain that connection, I believe itās important to keep posting.
Keep sharing topics and art about gender issues, ethical non-monogamy, erotica, queer politics, social justice writings, black lives matter content, fat and sex positivity, kink topics and safer play practices, safer sex practices, LGBTQ content, intersectional feminist topics.
Do not let capitalism silence us. Do not let the removal of NSFW images stop writings. Do not allow the LGBTQ+ community to be sexualized.
So no Ello for the kind of posts I like to make š Nudity is allowed but no sexual acts
Well, Iāve come down with a case of the gender troublesā¦
and with that Iām leaving this blue hell site. If you want my ig or snap shoot me a message.
Nooooooo stayyyyy and help me keep queer topics going
āThis is a threat to our reputation, our fundraising efforts, and ultimately our ability to serve people in need,ā read an email to staffers.
Reminder not to support the Salvation Army who are a bunch of bigots
Itās ironic that they think being pro LGBTQIA is a āThreat to their fundraising effortsā when the fact is I would NEVER donate a single penny of my money to any group, person or organisation that wasnāt 100% pro LGBTQIA and supportive of the rights and freedoms of LGBTQIA people
The Salvation Armyās bullshit makes certain that I will NEVER waste my money donating to their shitty little organisation because I am not going to give my money to worthless filth like them
Also sick, Apparently the Valparaiso, IN Salvation Army had Aryan Brotherhood members (in full attire) bellringing for them on Black Friday.

Hereās your annual reminder not to give to the Salvation Army, and before a single one of you saysĀ ābut they do good workā here is ALSO your reminder that THOUSANDS OF OTHER CHARITIES THAT DONāT THINK GAY PEOPLE SHOULD DIE would also gladly accept your donations, often dozens or hundreds in your local region alone. Your options are neverĀ ābigots or nothingā.Ā
Some recent bootblacking I did for @killyrmasters jacket and boots
No sex please, weāre online
Itās not just Tumblr, people. This shit is getting ridiculous.
Of course itās not Tumblr! They came for Craigslist personals first because thatās the oldest trick in the book: Sneakily taking down theĀ āpervertsā under the guise of vague, high morality goals and working slowly up from the bottom, picking off larger and larger targets. Few people cared about CL because of the stereotype of scary unwashed creeps trawling for sex online. That wasnāt so familiar orĀ cuteĀ so it was fair game.Ā Ā
Tumblr is biting at theĀ āartistsā heels and suddenly there is a bit more noise, because artists arenāt supposed to be treated like shit, are they? However even now the hair-splitting over whatās porn and therefore garbageĀ and not-art shows that attitudes are not so different. Itās still the same divisive, dangerousĀ us v.s. them mentality that is so easily exploited.
This is why when people tell me I shouldnāt worry about this becauseĀ āmy art isnāt porn anywayā it makes me angry. It means so much more than drawings or a silly blog. This is about people being slowly phased out of their freedoms, rights and agency. History has shown time and time again that whenever power wants to make a crushing move backwards, it comes for what it declares āobsceneā first. People are raised to be scared and ignorant of sex so itās an easy gateway. When they come cracking down on sex is when we most need to pay very close attention. They are not protecting us.
Ok butch/femme is hot but femme/femme and butch/butch is also incredibly fucking sexy
Itās Twitter Time!
Because, as you know, Tumblr is planning to remove āsensitiveā content after the 17th, Iām making accounts on some other Social Media just in case. Eventually I might make a Patreon account with some special rewards. :0 But thatās for another day.
Please head on over to Twitter to give me a follow if you donāt want to lose contact with my work! :)Ā
My twitter handle is: @the_silkbox!
Happy holigays
