Why does this Blog matter?

Representation is important and I’d like to make knowledge of that media more accessible! We are not alone, we are here and we exist!

The LGBTQIA+ community can be pretty divided but I hope connecting through the media we love and share can help us connect to one another.

At the end of the day we just want to love the people we love and be ourselves which I think is beautiful! ❤️

Read only memories: Neurodiver(2024 video game)

A spin off of ROM 2064, it’s short to play through but the art team really went hard on this game. It’s visuals are stunning!

Set in cyberpunk future San Francisco. You play as an Esper, in this world it means someone who is capable of entering other people’s memories using a creature known as Neurodiver

You’re helping someone uncover their memories when you notice some “glitches” 👀👀

This game is really enjoyable, it has plenty of magical girl and anime references throughout.

The characters have a fun dynamic. Also you can flirt with Gate, they have a really cute WLW romance :D

Also characters from the previous game are here! We love extra nonbinary and lesbian representation! 😩

I’d show off the art of the characters particularly the villain because it’s such a great design but it is better to experience them within the game!

I wish the game was longer but it’s still so fun and touches on some interesting concepts!

Read only Memories 2064 (2015 Video game)

The setting is a futuristic America where Robots are everywhere and there is technology to alter DNA with that of animals.

You’re a broke journalist in 2064 San Francisco, one day you wake up to find a small robot called Turing in your apartment.

They inform you of the disappearance of their creator/your friend Hayden. The plot follows your investigation.

This game is funny, smart and emotional. It explores the depths of what artificial intelligence is and also the politics of the world.

This game is one of my favourites of all time. It’s a Graphic adventure with similar gameplay to a point and click adventure. Also characters are well written and the art is fantastic! I recommend this game highly! It takes a while to play through but it’s so worth it!

Bugsnax (2020 Video game)

As a heads up

I really recommend that if you play this game for the first time, you don’t look it up. It’s very easy to spoil what happens later into the story.

You play as a journalist investigating the disappearance of Elizabert Megafig, a famous explorer, on Bugsnax Island.

Along the way investigating the inhabitants and collecting these little food creatures with googly eyes called “Bugsnax” as you delve deeper into what happened.

It’s a great cosy game to play with a lot of heart ,centered around community!

This game has a non-binary character as well as a MLM and WLW couple! It doesn’t make a big deal out of these characters being lgbtq they just happened to be and everyone accepts that.

Also this game is available on pretty much every platform including mobile! (iirc)

Rachel gets married to Hector and at their wedding Rachel meets her florist, Lucy, they fall in love. I won’t spoil the rest of the movie, but if you’re looking for a cute lesbian romcom, I really recommend this movie, nothing tragic happens, no one dies.

There are a few moments where some characters are kind of homophobic as a heads up, but it’s not the centre of it.

HEADSUP!!!

An 18+ This movie has Domestic abuse, Violence,Torture, murder and sex!

I really recommend this movie although there are some scenes that can be very graphic!

This movie is incredibly bitter sweet but I find it interesting how it plays with the gender expectations of being a woman and a lesbian. But also the way that Corky and Violet use it to their advantage to steal is really smart. It is satisfying to watch everything unfold!

The tension between Corky and Violet is so alive! Honestly they're both so Iconic!!!

If anyone is wanting to look into more Queer History or to read queer books here’s a few sites for you :D

Lesbian Herstory Archives which has been around since the 70s archiving Lesbian history, it’s incredible to be able to look through old news papers,voice recordings! It does also have archives of pins from the ages!

Trans reads which is a community run Archive site! It has TONS of important LGBTQIA+ books on there, a lot of them made by Queer authors! I really recommend if you can’t afford or access LGBTQIA+ Books!

Gays the Word it’s the UK’s oldest Gay library! As well as having community space they also sell LGBTQIA+ books online!

Queer voices are so important! Our History matters!!

This movie is about a Lesbian Grandma helping her teenage pregnant Granddaughter find a way to get an abortion.Forcing Elle (the grandmother) to confront her past and the grief surrounding her wife’s death by interacting with people from her past who she has cut contact in hopes of gathering enough money for her Granddaughter.This journey allows their family to grow close to one another too. It’s funny,it’s heartbreaking but also so wholesome I really recommend it!

This movie is a bit angsty, but it's because AJ is figuring out who she is and who she likes. I love that in the end , despite many arguments with her family they resolve them and grows closer to AJ after comes out.

It does have some sexual content but not super graphic and some drug usage.

Elliot turns 18 and plans on leaving her home town to live a life in the city. This movie is about that transition between the past and the future.Everything around you can change so you have to enjoy it while it's around. But also it's about self discovery.

After the Husbands come out their families have to adjust to the news,in the beginning not being the most accepting, but overtime they grow to love and support eachother in a healthier more open way.

It's also lovely seeing how Grace and Frankie become close to one another ,which they weren't before their ex-husbands came out.

There's a big focus on having autonomy regardless of age which I think is really important. We all deserve love, happiness, community and to be comfortable.

Having 7 seasons,it makes a great show to curl up in bed and watch! C:

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina(2018-2020 Series)

This show is a clusterfuck in the best way. If you like Angels,Demons,Magic and witches,this show is for you!

HEADSUP!!!

This show does have a fair amount of violence,some gore and can be quite intense at points!!!

The plot is mostly centered on Sabrina's journey of becoming a witch. Though it does explore the relationships characters have with eachother and her.

It has a trans man who comes out during the show, a chunk of his plotline follows how family and friends respond,but he becomes his own character as the show goes on. He also has a cute MLM romance in a later season <3

Alex Strangelove (2018 Movie)

This movie follows a High schooler named Alex Strangelove,his entire future mapped out with his girlfriend by his side. After meeting a guy named Elliot everything changes.

This movie is messy and uncomfortable in the beginning but in a way that ends up being wholesome towards the end.

Sometimes things just don't turn out the way you plan but there's still time to make things right and be happy.

Kipo and the age of the wonder beasts(2020 Series)

In a reality where the all the animals have become mutants,some have the ability to talk,some are big,some have extra limbs etc.

The mutant creatures forced humans to live underground in burrows.The plot follows Kipo who is a human who got trapped on the surface and is trying to find a way back home to her Dad.

Along the way meeting various mutants and humans, the character designs in this show are top notch. The soundtrack and animation is incredible too!!!

Benson and Troy's romance is absolutely adorable! I loved that this show holds space for Benson to be openly gay even before Troy is introduced! (I'm fighting for my life to not give too many spoilers!!)

Each character is very well written and even the villains you'll find yourself feeling bad for. (I really need to watch seasons 2 and 3)

I am NOT a Prince! (2022 book)

This is a children's book about a transfemme frog,venturing her kingdom, adamant she is NOT a Prince! I really recommend, its short, sweet and wholesome!!
