Oh damn..
[ID: a cropped screenshot from a Wikipedia article. It reads: According to Bronnie Ware, the five most common regrets shared by people nearing death were:
1. “I wish I'd had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.”
2. “I wish I hadn't worked so hard.”
3. “I wish I'd had the courage to express my feelings.”
4. “I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.”
5. “I wish that I had let myself be happier.”
A 2018 study reached similar conclusions, finding that people were more likely to express “ideal-related regrets”, such as failing to follow their dreams and live up to their full potential.]

Quick update: Survived my surgery. Went better than expected. Might just be good pain meds though. No complaints.
I'm getting top surgery in a couple of hours. I should get some sleep. First ever surgery. My anxiety levels are quite high, but I am also excited. I know I want and need this surgery, but it's scary to me. I hate losing control and I won't be in control. Recovery will take a while as well and means I have to rely on other people to help me, which I also hate. But as long as I wake up again after the surgery I know I can survive the recovery.
Wish me luck!

Watch: Kiosk - Sweet Destiny (the movie) I don’t think I’ve ever asked my followers to reblog anything but this time it would mean. The actual world. To the people of Iran. If you could spread awareness of the Iranian people’s fight for freedom right now. I’m not on Twitter or Instagram (although this post is optimized for instagram so PLEASE FEEL FREE TO REPOST IT ON IG) but from what I could see there is not as much noise about this as it should be. Nor is it easy to find posts with resources and basic information. And on tumblr I’ve only seen some posts from dedicated feminist blogs or actual Iranians. And from what I’ve gathered they NEED US to share what’s going on. They are shutting down internet in Iran so it’s up to us to not let the world look past this, not this time. PLEASE join the fight for women’s rights!!!

Tatiana Maslany wearing a shirt that says ‘SUPPORT TRANS FUTURES’ on it to promote She-Hulk for Marvel Studios and Disney, and therefore forcing them to have that on their social medias for the world to see, including who knows how many queer kids and their guardians, is fucking awesome and I thank her for that.

I love that people realize that this is horrifying.
The core belief in having to be strong enough, characteristic of many people who develop chronic illness, is a defence. The child who perceives that her parents cannot support her emotionally had better develop an attitude of "I can handle everything myself." Otherwise, she may feel rejected. One way not to feel rejected is never to ask for help, never to admit “weakness"—to believe that l am strong enough to withstand all my vicissitudes alone.
