Starting off this blog with a queer childhood anecdote:

When I was 12-13 I got into Wicca. Mostly out of curiosity, as I didn't grow up religious and never believed in a higher power.

This did not prevent me from trying to pray to "spirits" to please make me intersex & totally androgynous. I somehow still had the audacity to believe I was cis. Funny how that works.

I love it when strangers get confused about my gender.

When I got a taxi from the train this morning the driver started off referring to me using she/her, and then after a minute of conversation stopped mid-sentence to ask if I was a boy or a girl. God damn, I love androgyny. I love you not being able to tell. Yeah, be confused. Good. GOOD. GOOD. BE CONFUSED.

this and also the only difference between fanfic writers and writers who sell their own original works as careers is that fanfics aren’t monetized. that’s all.

being a “professional” writer doesn’t mean your works are inherently better than fanfics. I’ve read so many fics that are more professionally written than some published books.

whether or not a piece of writing is monetized has nothing to do with its quality.

Hi there! I apologise if this isn't really relevant or if you've covered this before, but there's a binder alternative called the KINDer, which currently has a kickstarter!

It uses fat redistribution rather than compression, meaning they get to be much less tight than regular binders

This blog has quite a sizeable audience and reach, and this could be an amazing binder alternative for transmasc people who struggle with regular binders (like myself)! As of sending this ask, they have 11 days left and €19k out of €26k pledged. I would really appreciate it if you could help bring awareness to this, I don't think they have much of a presence on Tumblr?

(I'm not one of the creators, just a transmasc person who really wants one of these <3)

You *are* trans! You are not faking it, you have no reason to fake it, how can someone be fooling herself into feeling joy? The joy you felt is real, do more of the things that make you feel this joy, if you have people you can trust, tell them to she/her you and use feminine terms for you more often

i am really tired of seeing nonbinary complexity boiled down to essentially "so are you transfem nonbinary or transmasc nonbinary" and then even nonbinary people who do identify with those labels get erased into "essentially girl lite or essentially boy lite".

there are nonbinary people who are truly not a man or woman on any level at all.

there are nonbinary people who experience both manhood and womanhood, at the same time or on a fluctuating basis.

there are nonbinary people who are transmasc who are not men, and people who are transfem who are not women.

there are people who feel more comfortable using newer, less known microlabels, and people who don't want to label their gender at all.

there are many valid ways intersex people discuss their relationships to the terms transmasc, transfem and nonbinary that people who are perisex should try to pay more attention to, respect more and talk over less.

there are trans and nonbinary people who do not feel included when you turn transfem and transmasc into an exclusionary binary, please take people with other experiences with their gender seriously, thanks.
