So I felt with really bad internalized biphobia for a long time, I felt I was a failed lesbian, most of my friends were mspec with a female preference, and I was way more into dudes but I felt ashamed about it. At one point I identified as an mspec lesbian, now I feel weird about talking about it because I know people are going to use it against that mspec lesbians even though I’m like one person most of them aren’t like my experience idk I just feel weird. In the words of Neil Cicierega, I just had to share with someone

I don't know how strong it is, or if it's even there, but I feel like there is quite a bit of overlap among the anti-twink crowd, the censorship/anti-ship crowd, and the conservative crowd. In that it's like, "don't be a gay stereotype! Don't enjoy casual sex or be feminine, because you have to be MY idea of a Perfect Gay Man or you'll be a bad representation of millions of strangers that you don't know and the cishets will hate us even more. And you'll singlehandedly will bring the AIDS epidemic back."

ok so two of my friends are dating, they’re both girls and some how one of my friends sister found out and texted a homophobic friend abt it and now I am kinda spiraling bc both of their parents are slightly homophobic and I’m worried that I won’t be able to see my friends bc of their parents

i love hearing about queer joy. i want to hear about your first crush, the time you tried a new haircut or wore different clothes and it just felt right, the bundle of nerves when you asked someone out and the butterflies you got when they said yes, the euphoria you felt when you started going by a new name and new pronouns, the time you stared at the sky for hours with the person you were told you could never love. i want to hear it all. our stories tie us together, and they make me feel less alone in this world. i love you queer joy ♡
