worrying about others was a trait ara couldn't help it even if she tried. it didn't even matter how old or younger the other person would be, taking care of somebody else just sets her soul at ease. either that, or the fact that it stemmed from her own issues dealing with her mother. maybe it was also a reason she wanted to feel dependent on but knowing how uncomfortable it may feel, she still wanted to seem helpful despite her worries. ara smiled softly and took a bite of her salmon salad before finishing it off with a sip of her water. noticing how the latter switched the topic from speaking about herself to the heiress only made sure that her social cues picked up on leaving the latter alone. dully noted, "oh well, i hope your coming weeks pick up for you." she started and took another bite of her food before continuing.
having a salad wasn't quite filling but if word got back to her mother that she wasn't eating properly, or rather, according to her rules then all hell would ensue. quickly shaking the thought of her mother berating her once she stepped foot back into the house, she focused on the woman before her, "me? well, if you're interested in wanting to know then i hope you could tell me if i made a mistake or not by minoring in accounting. i'm good with numbers but it's just so boring... and it's already my second year so it's quite late to change it." there's a frown present on her face before it morphs into one that raises a brow with a purse of her lips.
"although, i do have a little bit of a crush?" there's a soft blush crescenting on the apple of her cheeks as her smile widened just a bit.
