Hi, Muppet Fans! I started this blog to give the inside scoop about my new job working for the Muppet Show! I'll try to update whenever I can, but I'm sure life will be pretty busy from now on... Either way, I hope you enjoy a peek behind the scenes!

(That statement probably only makes sense if you know my main. Which, it's @jimmysbrainandsoul. So, now ya do. :3)

I don't have too much to say, other than lay down some rules and note some tags for certain posts.

However, I will say that I intend for asks to be the sort of driving force for the blog.

Any fanart posts that are in-character (backstage pics and such) will follow the timeline, but if something gets posted in the middle of a big plot point, it exists outside of it.

Try to keep things PG. I'm okay with a little toeing the line, but I will not answer any NSFW questions.

No hateful speech, whether in character or aimed at the mod.

No spamming. I will get to asks as much as I can, but do not repeatedly send me messages if I don't answer yours.

You know, an interesting tumblr transformation that's happened gradually, and which I've seen no one talk about: ask-culture has essentially dropped off to nothing.

By which I mean, asks used to be WAY more of the tumblr economy. They used to be more common to send, and receive, and see. They were integral to the collaborative, forum-like behavior of old tumblr communities, not even to speak on the HUGE number of ask-blogs that used to exist to only be interacted with in ask-form.

I'm not saying this in a vying-for-attention way but instead in an observational way: I used to get way way more asks in like 2015, even with a fraction of my follower count. I wonder if it's due to the homogenization of social media sites? There's a lot more of this divide between "content creator" and "consumer" instead of just a bunch of peer blogs who would talk to each other. "Asks" aren't really a thing on twitter, are they? And as I understand it, the closest thing to an "ask" on instagram or tiktok would be a creator screenshotting some comment and responding to it in a new reel or video or whatever those content mediums are. Are asks just too tumblr-specific? Is that aspect of the site culture dying out as more and more people converge to using all their social media sites in the same way?

it's probably from assholes making asks a minefield of trolling/harassment for years with no real blocking ability, which turned people off from allowing asks on their blogs so as a whole the site moved away from it

but now that we do have better blocking, we should try to revive it.

Boss asked me to grab him coffee omw to work today. I know it's not my place to say, but he reeeeally needs to stop pulling all-nighters... (he won't see this, i'm allowed to gossip 😈)

When in doubt, just make muppets.

Meet Quibble, the Muppet Show's newest stagehand! He's mainly in charge of props and smaller set pieces. Though, "in charge" might be overselling it, given that they're still new.

Quibble is best acquainted with the other crew members, such as Scooter (who is basically his supervisor) and Hilda. However, he also clicked with Walter on their first day, since the latter knows the feeling of "being the new guy." (They're also both huge fanboys, hehe.) As for the main cast, they're admittedly a little intimidated of...well, everybody. It's not his fault, these are big-time stars here!

Of course, being nervous around the cast will not–I repeat, will NOT–stop him from chewing out anybody who messes with something they aren't supposed to. Move a prop that's not yours, and you'll get to see Quibble in all their arm-flailing fury.

Out of universe, Quibble was designed to be a hand-and-rod puppet, much like many of the main muppet characters. His design is rather simple, with blue felt skin and orange yarn wefts for hair. He has a matching orange nose, and five freckles embroidered under each of their eyes, which are designed to make a little "M" shape.

They wear a black long sleeve shirt under a blue button-up, regular black jeans (not pictured), and beat-up sneakers (also not pictured). On the clock, he has a headset to speak to Scooter with when on the other side of the stage, and they can usually be seen with a bracelet or two, though their sleeve typically hides them. The bracelets are inspired by different members of the cast, because, well, Quibble's a big ol' geek.
