I'm Unknown, as in, my name is Unknown. At least that's what it is on here. I'm mostly gonna put whatever I feel like putting, whether that be my original characters or fan stuff. Maybe a cat picture or two. There will be ZERO consistency here, I'm mostly here to lurk and look at silly stuff. Also please pay no mind to the monotone nature of my typing, I'm just awkward like that. There are some of my characters who I kind of want to turn into a comic but that'll come later. I'm not going to give much information about myself. After all I'm Just Here. I'm existing but I'm not the focus. The focus is primarily my art, silly little facts about some of my AUs. Speaking of which, my AUs are alternate universes in the way of āØIgnoring the AngstāØ unless it's necessary to the plot. I'm also not great about judging characters' personality so they'll likely be also out of character. I also make ocs to toss into the fray of my AUs. I would list them but I have way too many. Yes some of them are paired with cannon characters.
Okay now some rules.

If I answer as a character, don't question the format for it-I would draw out answers but I'm not that skilled right now.
he's extremely funny when he firsts loses his memories aboard the Hail Mary! One of my favorite lines that didn't make it into the movie is "I'm a single man in my thirties, I live alone in a small apartment. I really like, I don't have any kids. I don't like where this is going - a teacher! I'm a school teacher, one." It's even more funny if you listen to the audiobook where he's reading it for the first time, and this is his genuine reaction!
Number Two:
He's extremely smart and dumb at the same time! He's making experiments way before he even remembers his name! He makes so many experience even, that when Rocky gives him a ball made out of a metal, he puts it through tests when Rocky leaves, figuring out that it's iron.... And when they both go back to the xenonite barrier.... Rocky shows him a ring of 26... He's telling him it's iron... And he didn't need to do a thing but wait there.
Number Three:
He has both platonic and romantic relationships with the same people depending on who you ask! He's great Aroace representation if you see him as Aroace! To some people, hes in a QPR with Rocky and Adrian! To other people, he's in a QPR with Stratt! To other people, he's in a romantic relationship with Rocky! To other people he's in a romantic relationship with Stratt! It's every interesting seeing people's takes on his implied and referenced relationships!
Number Four:
All of the fandom agrees it's wrong of Stratt to say that he doesn't have any family members nor a pet while trying to make him go on the Project Hail Mary, viewing his life as lesser because he doesn't - infact, Stratt doesn't either and is kind of projecting! The fandom also agrees on Coltland, and some degree, Coltland Gentry! He has a twin brother, an older brother, and depending on who you ask some weird uncles, grandparents, and younger brothers. It's called the Ryan Gosling Cinematic Universe, and I'm not even sure who came up with that or why but it works! We also ship him with different Markiplier characters, more specifically we ship him with Simon from Iron Lung. I don't know.
Number Four:
In the movie, he never wears his glasses correctly! Everyone in this fandom who has glasses or sunglasses regularly try to mimic his glasses positions when given the chance. Its very funny. He's super silly, please don't break your glasses doing this.
Number Five:
He has a bunch of Fox motifs, and is always refered to as a fox in different fanart. He has a fox cardigan, that almost everyone who knits and crochets try to make by hand, and by almost it means everyone but me, I'm still getting used to it. Stratt is almost always the german shepard, or the (scape)goat, which is also wonderful symbolism. It can get very sad sometimes.
Number Six:
He gets sick on elevators! He does not want to do this! Hes very reluctant on even letting the actual astronauts die! He doesn't realize that he might be chosen as well for it, until, at least in the book, a couple days away from the launch... And they lock him in a cell, where he gets one last conversation with Stratt, before they erase his memories in a way that his brain won't forget technique and training, so he doesn't sabotage the mission like he threatened to. In the movie it's a lot simpler, they just put him unconscious and into the coma right there and then.... So the last words spoken to him are ones of encouragement by one of his greatest friends, and he's the last one he sees before he forgets everything.
Number Seven:
He's so bad at peopling that his best friend - and to some people lover - is a rock spider alien! In the book that's exactly how he describes him, and it's incredibly funny to watch him react to it. Some people relate to this on some kind of spiritual level, which I get, and some people are just like, yeah, that would be me. Some people take this as autism, which I also get, I can't really say anything about it imo.
Number Eight:
In the books after he successfully makes it to Erid with Rocky, he resorts to cannablism, and is morally fine with it! He's accepted his fate of eating burgers made from his flesh and is quite with it. It's food so he'll eat it. He's name named them Meburgers.
Number Nine:
I don't know what to put here, except that he's just Ryland Grace, he's just him. If you guys have anymore reasons that aren't you here lmk.

Pausing here to point out that op isĀ ādear-AO3ā³ and now Iām wondering if Delaware fanfic would be categorized as RSF (real state fic) or AU (alternate unitedstates)
This is fantastic because it goes great with my theory that Delaware only exists for tax purposes. Like, all the states really only exists for Tax Purposes, but Delaware is particularly fake because back in 2012 I got lost in the Alleged Delaware Area looking trying to get to a family reunion, but every time I pulled over for directions, I would ask what the hell state I was in now, and I went through Mayland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey AND Virginia and I never fucking found Delaware but I did eventually find the Family Reunion and earned the repsepct of my then-prospective- Great-Grandmother-In-Law by saving her favorite grandchildren from a furious oceangoing horse so Iām convinced that not only is the state a purely legal construct, they didnāt even dedicate any landmass to it, or itās a govāt blackzone where the carnivorous horses live.
Ryland Grace is in the Tumblr Sexyman finals against Senshi and Tenna. Our space captain will rise. Ryland will not go down to a fraud TV and a black-haired Gimli rip-off. SO, PROPAGANDA!!!!!!
Ryland Grace is a TROOPER. He is a science teacher who doesn't even own a car, yet he learns how to survive in space, fly a spacecraft without proper training, interact with aliens, SAVE EARTH AND ERID, and so much more on his own.
Grace is one of/if not THE best aroace representation we've got in a minute. I personally love the rare chance where a movie doesn't have any romance and just FIRE bromance all around. Plus, he actually helped me figure out that I'm Aceflux, so shoutout.
He's just a lovable guy! He's a bit awkward, but he's compassionate, caring, thinks of others, perfect husband material, and a sarcastic little treasure.
All of the amazing Ships/AU's we've gotten because of him. Coltland, Coltland Gentry, Bloodymary, Strattland, Starstruck, Grocky, Grockdrian, need I go on?
He is played by the AMAZING Ryan Gosling, (in my opinion) one of the best actors we have right now. Ryan has some of the best acting range I've seen in a while, with every character he played being completely their own. Not to mention that he's funny, unproblematic, a wife guy and girl dad, and "Literally Me."
IT'S FREAKING PROJECT HAIL MARY!!!!! PHM is the best new movie I've seen in a LONG TIME. The plot, the characters, cinematography, music, humor, every little bit of that movie was sucked into my soul like a vampire. I LOVE this movie, and the book too. It's a very great adaptation.
HE'S A FUCKING BEAST. He tied with Stan (Last year's winner btw) and won against Ford, THOSE TWO ARE FUCKING TITANS!!!
