How did you get into making Winx fan art? What’s the backstoryyyy? (It’s @disenchantixtime btw)

Hi! I just like to hide from my current problems in childhood nostalgia 💀

Long story: It actually happened unintentionally. I was rewatching Winx a couple years ago when the idea of flower child Flora came to my mind. This connection seemed so obvious, but I couldn't find any fanarts and so decided to make my own.

The first attempts were terrible, to be honest, but after six months of looking at the ugly sketches, I forced myself to squeeze something beautiful out of it. That's how my first drawing of hippie Flora appeared. Good experience gave me the strength to continue, I made another one, a sketchy Flora, which became the first link in the chain of redesigns.

The image for Stella appeared by itself when I looked at boho clothes for references. I was surprised how well it suited both fairies, even thought of dressing all the girls in boho, but in the end decided to divide them into three style groups (boho, punk and casual).

After my redesigns, I joined the stream of winx fanarts and found amazing art by atanerrum, wikate, bitsbytits, artydemon,... Winx audience are just so creative... 🥵

Would you consider drawing Aisha and Nabu at some point? Your redesign/style for her was awesome. I can just picture her being someone he's seen around and was too intimidated to talk to until he realised they like the same music

Thanks!! I'm sure these aren't the last fairy art you'll get from me („• ֊ •„) I would like to draw Layla/Aisha more. She was amazing in the first seasons and mesmerized me with her beauty. It's just hard for me to figure out how to recreate her charm in my style. Hadn't thought about drawing Nabu though. I love him too, but he somehow didn't come to mind. Maybe I really should pay my respects to one of the best couples in the series...
