This was a big year for FTH -- our tenth auction, and a big year in one other important way, too.
This year, we've got two big numbers to announce.
This year, thousands (yes, thousands!) of us showed up to share our time, talents and goodwill with one another and raise some money for our most vulnerable neighbors and the organizations that support them. Together, we supported the fights for trans rights, for immigrant rights, and for the rights of the disabled; we helped fund local journalism and local clean-energy advocacy; we helped feed the hungry, in Gaza and in our own neighborhoods around the world; and so much more.

But that's not all.
We knew there was no way we'd quite match last year's annual total -- everybody was motivated the recent election, and the damage of the new presidential admin was still in its early ramp-up. Still, we were hoping that enough folks would show up for FTH 2026 that we could raise a combined ~$70K, and push us to a major ten-year fundraising milestone.
As you can see, we blew way, way past that this year.
That brings FTH's ten-year fundraising total to:

We urge you to keep up with the organizations you supported this year (and the others on our list!) Follow them on social media, subscribe to their newsletters, whatever works best for you. It will enable you to keep an eye on the good work you’ve helped support, and to find out quickly when these orgs need some extra help, financial or otherwise.
And if you’re looking out at the world and feeling the itch to do more, here are some possibilities:
Follow @fthaction, the meatspace activism wing of FTH. We relaunched FTHA last year with some reading lists, an individualized activism bingo card, a couple of AMAs with some talented organizers and activists on our dedicated FTHA discord server, and some stories from folks on tumblr, talking about how they themselves got more politically active. We're still figuring out the best and most useful things we can do this with project, but we'd love your thoughts and we hope you'll join us for the ride, on tumblr or on our discord server (linked above) or both.
Organize your own auction! We’ve put together a detailed playbook that contains as much information and as many resources as we can provide for getting an auction off the ground, including detailed guides. Almost everything in the playbook is fully public; there are a few forms that are access-locked because google has stupid ideas about sharing forms, but we’re happy to give you access to those, too: just drop us an email.
As usual, we the mods are pretty wiped out and will need to take some time away from our screens to recuperate. But also as usual, it's completely worth the effort. We're so deeply inspired by what we've accomplished together, and by all of y'all who keep showing up, year after year, to be lights for one another in dark times. We'll see you again next year.

"What is FTH?" You ask.
Well, here's a little about them!
"How does FTH work?"
Follow the links to either the Fanwork offerings or the Craft Bazaar, and from there you can either look up a specific creator (like me!), fandom, or type of fanwork (art, animation, fanfic, to name a few!).
Then, once you've picked a creator and an auction listing you like, make sure to read their respective rules/policies before making your bid.
Of course, please wait until March 3rd to place your bids, as anything placed before that date will be discounted.
"How do I bid on an auction/offering?"
After reading through a creator's rules and what not, be sure to take a look at their Bidding Spreadsheet to see what the highest bid at the moment is.
Then, fill out your creator's Bidding Form with your newer, higher bid! It will be your job to check the Bidding Spreadsheet to check whether or not your bid is winning, so be sure to bookmark that page/spreadsheet.
"What happens if I win an auction?"
Congrats! Please wait for a confirmation email by our amazing mods with instructions on how to donate and how to submit proof of your generous donation to the mods.
It may take a day or two after the bidding period ends, but please be patient!
"I really wanted to win, but I didn't...so what happens now?"
Sorry to hear that! In that case you don't have to donate the amount you pledged.
BUT if you'd like to make a donation regardless, you can email your donation receipt to the project email and that amount will count towards the final auction talley.

"Hey Quill! Why should we bid on you?"
You absolutely don't have to! I'm participating with FTH because I believe in its mission and want to create for a good cause.
Additionally, I do not currently and do not see myself ever opening up writing commissions, so I thought FTH would be a great opportunity to allow folxs who like my writing to get a chance to receive a fic that they get to pitch and choose.
The minimum bid for my service starts at $5 USD (minimum bid varies for other creators and for the Craft Bazaar), so please engage responsibly with FTH's auction listings.

No, like most of the information on my auction listing those are just the fandoms I would prefer.
However additional fandoms like MXTX works, Deltarune, Undertale, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Delicious in Dungeon/Dunmeshi, Studio Ghibli, Murder Drones, The Amazing Digital Circus, Bleach, Pokemon, Gachiakuta, FNAF and etc are on the table!
Just please message me for clarification or any questions before placing your bid. The same goes for the types of content and/or kinks you'd like to be included within your fic.
"Can you write for So-And-So Pairing? Will you be doing OC content?"
As long as a pairing does not violate any of the rules outlined on my auction listing, you're good! However, if you're unsure, please check with me before proceeding with your bid.
In terms of OC content, I will consider doing so on a case-by-case basis depending on information given/types of pitches proposed. So feel free to bid away!

Uzi groaned before turning onto her side, all but stuffing her face into her pillows in an attempt to muffle the sound. Hair fluttering all over her head. Out of all the memory files, out of all the things she saw and heard within them, Uzi still couldn’t quite recall what it felt like to be held by her mother. Back when Mom had arms, how’d she do it? Often? Softly? Did she ever pet her head?
Lifting her head from her pillows, Uzi’s thoughts turned back to the Absolute Solver. She and her mother were the only ones left who could make use of it, and, even then, neither was as adept with it as the original program or even…Uzi turned slightly to glance at the dimmed eyes of her bow-wearing tail.
Cyn.
Pain in her port, emoticon-using, plague-causing Cyn. Even forced into the pea-sized brain of Uzi’s tail, she could still make use of the solver in ways Uzi and her mother hadn’t quite figured out. The zombie fiasco last week, for instance. Sure, there were certain rules to the Solver that they all had to abide by, and tantamount was the fact that nothing could be made from nothing. Whatever they did, whatever chaos they caused, it had to come from something else or their own selves. Uzi blinked once, twice. Nothing comes from nothing. Something needing something to heal, to change to-
Uzi sat up in a jolt.
She scrambled to untangle herself from her nest of blankets and pillows, all but falling to the floor in a heap of metal and carbon fiber. Cyn’s eyes immediately flared back to full brightness, but Uzi was already dragging the Sleep Mode-deprived entity towards her workdesk. Scattering half-drawn up improvements to railguns and the occasional door aside in one sweeping flourish, Uzi quickly grabbed a fresh sheet of blueprint paper and began furiously mapping out her news idea.
Cyn eventually gained enough wakefulness to sway over to Uzi, peering over the Worker Drone’s shoulder to look at what she was working on. Line after line. Scribbled note after scribbled note. Rough calculation after rough calculation. The picture Uzi was slowly putting together came into focus. Cyn tilted her reptilian head to the left, to the right, before displaying a single chat box.

Floyd quickly lifted his head, finding the window latched shut and Eupator’s wooden hands pressed against the glass as his face twisted in an effort not to laugh. Sharp pomegranate eyes curling, softening as his lips pressed tightly together to try and keep it together. Dimples appearing in his cheeks, of all places. The merman went still.
“Leech? Leech, do you not hear me?! You are nearly ten minutes past curfew, I demand you come down this instant!”
Wait, Floyd wanted to say, wait, I can’t miss this. And, sure enough, Seaweed Head could bear it no more. The seal of his lips burst and suddenly Eupator was a whirl of movement. Head tossed back, sharp teeth flashing so-very prettily, and long, bright lashes smushed onto the warm, rich skin of his face. Windswept hair curling, framing his happy face like a wreath of pure summer. The merman’s own lips couldn’t help but twitch and smile in return. But hey. Hey…
He couldn’t hear him.
“Another minute up there and I will inform Ashengrotto immediately!”
What did he sound like? Seaweed’s shoulders were shaking, wooden palm desperately trying to cover up all the sharp teeth and curling lips. Surely that meant he was laughing real loud? That he was having fun? Floyd wanted to hear it, to hear him. And that smile. The stuff in the merman’s ribcage was practically dancing now. Don’t cover it up, he wanted to say to him, not when you look like that. He could break one window, Floyd quickly decided.

what can i say except that i'm so so very thankful for all of Rainy's hard work on this piece. It was a bit tricky trying to decide who to commission for this fic, but I'm so glad requested Rainy' skills once more! Floyd's eyes going all round and soft with an 'oh no' crush, the kiss kiss fall in love petals in the air, and, of course, dear Eupator's happiness being captured so well couldn't have been done by anyone other than Rainy. They're on a bit of a commission break as of writing this, but, nevertheless, please support them however you can!
