Saw a big fat rat on the street yesterday and remembered anadil
Spent the whole break working on this â¨đ
"Behind them the Ever doors opened and into the Theater glided the most beautiful princess they'd ever seen." - The School for Good and Evil
Circus of Talents Agatha my baby
Thinking about that SGE fic I desperately want to write but never knows how... a modern day Gavaldon with internet but still a medieval woods.
Agatha and Sophie have access to the internet so Agatha has self esteem. Agatha calls Tedros "medieval Justin Bieber". Sophie has a crashout once she realizes she does not have her hair products, makeup, serums, even her hairbrush. Agatha tries to gentle parent the evers about feminism.
I am reminded of that idea maybe once every four months and someday I will actually write it

swap au for sge! never!agatha and ever!sophie!
Made this in honor of me getting the 4th book (thanks to my aunt who gave me her copy) but ended up finishing the book first before getting this out
But anyway heres my tagatha contribution to the fandom
character development is when you realize how janky your old art was and redrawing the characters to do them justice.
The old art in question:
my genuine reaction, by the way:

This one is pretty rushed đ
edit: quality is shit ???
I am rereading school for good and evil
And I have realised that there is a clear chain of order when it comes to who comes up with the plans.
Obviously Agatha is at the top and is the one everyone turns to but when Agatha isnât there or sometimes when she is unsure it is Hester who is the next person everybody turns.
Not Sophie or Tedros despite the fact that both seem to believe that they are the next in line. None in the book ever actually turns to them for help and if they do it is only because neither Hester nor Agatha is here and after book 4 Nicola isnât there either.
Which I find so funny cause they are the two that believe themselves to be the leaders of the group that they believe that they are good and evils school captain. But in reality it is Agatha and Hester who actually earn that title.
That is because both Hester and Agatha actually worked for it. They were top of there class because they put in the hard work. Neither Sophie nor Tedros did that they just had it handed to them on a silver platter just because both are objectively beautiful and got Agatha to do all the hard work.
If it werenât for Agatha basically doing all of Sophieâs work and the school master and Evelyn Sader rigging the results Sophie would be a nothing. She was neither talented, smart nor dedicated at anything. She did not deserve to be dean of evil nor is she evilâs greatest hope.
You know who is tho. Hester. Hester is the smartest never in the school for evil and sometimes even in both schools. She has a talent that she had practically perfected even before she came to school (which based on how the other never talents are described in the beginning wouldnât have of been easier) she is really smart like actually smart. She is described as having a read extra just for fun and having an amazing memory. She is the most dedicated person at that school. Her whole backstory with her mother shows that she is there to prove that she is better than her mother that she will succeed. Plus her whole backstory in general and baring in mind that that is only what she said voluntarily and based on Hester being a closed offf person i imagine there is a lot more that she doesnât say. But she over came her backstory she is the only person in that book who is able to put there feelings aside and go what is nessary no one else does that or at least not as effectively. Sophie constantly thinking about her self and endangers everyone. Tedros fainted when he sees Merlin and disappears for a week when he sees his mother and lancerlot. Dotâs relationship with her father and Robin Hood cause some issues along the way. Even Agatha struggles to not think about Sophie, Tedros and her mum and do what is right. ( the last three are valid and are not hate considering that they are just teenagers) but it goes to show how strong Hester actually is, not just physically but mentally. Hester also gets stabbed and just doesnât cry like she is the strongest and smart character in the book. She is also often referred to as the most powerful character with her demon being there best weapon throughout the series.
Hester deserves that spot as evils captain and the only reason Sophie got it was because of plot armour both from the tale of Sophie and Agatha and the fact that she is the main character in the book.
If it werenât for everything that happened in the woods Sophie wouldnât have stood a chance next to Hester and it infuriated me that people claim she is the strongest or best witch cause she ainât she is just the best at acting like she is and that is it.
(This did just kinda turn into a Sophie hate rant and Hester appreciation post but my point still stands)

Agatha taking the lead majority of the story, and a lot of people following her is why I believe that she's the one ruling over Camelot lmao. Tedros "character development" in tcy is such a nothingburger of a development. It sucks that agatha did most of the thing in the plot but somehow tedros deserves to be the king? that the "lights around his head looks like a crown" feels earned somehow?? hell no. as for hester and sophie. I fully agree that hester deserves more than what she got. She is clearly clever, competent, and has leadership. but i think sophie getting more recognition is simply the case of charisma. Sophie has the presence that attracts people, that even if hester is more skilled than her, people would listen to sophie more. Just like how people listen to popular people more than the smart ones. Sophie is closer to a celebrity, and that's why she gets the spotlight.
despite that though, i hate how its still so unfair that in situations that requires skill and stuff,, sophie still gets the better outcome? like hester has more experience and knowledge than her but gets overpowered. like agatha literally has to teach sophie the spells that she knows and somehow still lost. (i know its because agatha doesn't really want to fight her but stilllll) --
wow its been a while since i yapped about sge. its so nostalgic. sad that the fandom is not as active as it used to be, so its so nice seeing posts like these still being made <33
