I was. The show closed and my mom was having surgery so I came home to help out while she recovers. It’s only temporary.
I’m sorry to hear about your mom. Coming back to Ohio must have been must have been not what you were expecting to be doing.

Exactly! And like, you guys are a glee club legacy. I’m still super bummed I wasn’t apart of the New Directions when you guys were, so it’d be super nice to witness some OG performances.

Is New Directions any good right now? You have Finn coaching you. I can’t imagine that.
I’m pretty sure the years leading up to graduation were the ‘why not’, but okay. I wanna add Coach on snapchat now. I bet she’d look really cool with the butterflies. It is? College doesn’t look boring when it’s in the movies and stuff. It seems full of parties and girls making out.
I’ll see if I can figure out what her username is on it for you. I live on campus which is disgusting. There are parties but I’m not interested in going to get felt up by some frat boy. As for girls making out, I’m sure it happens. I go to class and do my work. I don’t want to be here and unlike McKinley, I have no desire to leave my mark here. I don’t even want people to know I go to Ohio State.
I know who you are and that for some people here you’re a sort of legend. And I remember you for the best things. It’s good, same as usual, maybe some less drama but I guess we’ll get there at some point, it’s just how McKinley works. What about you? How’s college treatin’ you?
That’s kind of you, Sam. Stupid of you but kind. McKinley is a mess of a school. I’m sure things will get crazy eventually. College isn’t what I was hoping for. I go to class and then back to my dorm for the most part.
Coach has your phone number? That’s weird. I didn’t think Coach had a cell phone. Think she uses shapchat? And there’s way less drama than there used to be, but I promise to scour the halls to find all of the best gossip for you.
We had a nice moment when I graduated so I figured why not. I don’t know. I’m sure if she did, her only friend would be Becky on it. Thank you. That would actually be nice. College is surprisingly very boring.
Because we’re friends. We all know Lima isn’t the best place, but you have lots of people that care about you there. I’m sure they will love that.
I’m suspecting I’m going to step in the choir room and immediately people are going to be asking when I’m going to be coming back. Then I’ll depressingly be here every weekend.
Just okay? And I was ready to tell the world how much fun is to have you around, though I think there’s no reason to, everybody seems to know your name. You sure have to, ‘cause we’re stuck at school most of the time and no one can miss your visit.

Wine club can be fun, right? Sipping wine and having quite some good time. However I can imagine you don’t want to have that kind of fun with your mother. Have fun with the oldies.

Uh.. It’s okay. The glee kids are great. They’re welcoming and kind. The popular kids? Well.. They’re a different story. McKinley’s not like any other school I’ve been to before.

Oh I’m better then average. Coach recruited Mason and I all the way from Texas. Plus I’ve been in dance, gymnastics and singing lessons since I was like, four.
What? No performance? But when will the OG Unholy Trinity be back together again in the glee room? You guys not performing would be a total travesty.

If nothing else, bring laundry with you and make her do it for you. Take the chance to get some food to take back with you and besides that feign a headache and you should be able to hide away for a good while.
My mom already told me she’d do both of those things. I love my mom. I really do. But she’s overbearing most of the time. Constantly trying to make up for things that were half out of her control.
It could be better, but I’d definitely rather have that than worse. I noticed. I’ve kinda watched all the old glee club performances. I’m not saying they weren’t awesome, but it’s kind of a shame. You killed it with Time of My Life. That shouldn’t stop you from singing for us though.. I’m sure we’d all be super happy to see you give us something. But if you don’t wanna, that’s cool too. It’d just be awesome to have you there regardless.
How many of them have possibly been posted on youtube? You’re sure laying it on thick, Marley. I’ll consider performing. I have no idea what though. So how are you liking McKinley?

And actually, I just moved here from Akron. Which isn’t much better, I know. But so far, Lima has been okay. Really? That’s awesome! Didn’t you perform at sectionals a couple years back? I remember seeing it on youtube. You were like, really great.
Marley. Right. I moved to Lima around your age too. I suppose it could be far worse but it could be a lot better too. I did perform a duet with Sam, yes. That was very atypical. Rachel and Finn usually dominated performances. But thank you. That’s very kind of you.
