All these posts of people freaking over changes from the source material reaffirms that I made the right choice waiting to read the books till after it’s corresponding season(s) airs.
I totally feel for you guys but smirking at those have been looking down on me for not reading all the books yet. (I worked at a library, that was totally a thing, not implying the community in general.) At least I can still enjoy the show bitches.
After the outcry from the community about what happened with Sansa last night now I’m 2x as happy I have something to look forward to when I read the book after this season. If I did the read the books, that would have been the point I quit the show.

See The Amazing Moment When A Deaf Person Hears For The First Time
I actually cried watching this. I wonder how my grandfather would have reacted if this was around when he was alive. He became deaf as an infant and grew up in China around 1920, the world was not kind to deaf people at that time. People would hear his voice and not expect much from him. He was the first deaf man to go to Princeton University, (once asked his instructor to shave his mustache so he could lip read his lectures) he could lip read in English, Latin, Russian, French, and German (almost got his ass kicked for speaking East German in West Germany, or vice versa, I wish I could ask him again.) Every year growing up he would travel from China by boat to San Fransisco and then to Canterbury Boarding School in Connecticut BY HIMSELF after his mother took him once.Almost got his ass kicked my an Aborigines Sailor because some shit stain of human decency though it was funny to tell this kid who talked funny to address the sailor as the N word. (My grandfather had never seen a black person before, growing up in China and going to a rich boarding school in the early 1900's) The sailor was mad for 2 seconds before realizing somebody tricked this kid, my grandfathers tone didn't have a touch of malice in it. He taught my grandpa to never use that word, and to address him as friend. The sailor looked out for grandpa for the rest of the trip and kicked the other dudes ass. After Princeton, he went on to research Microbology, specifically skin grafting. He later taught at NYU. His students made the papers when they successfully reattached a flute players arm.
Despite all that, it was very hard for him to make connections with people, because many people were reluctant to speak him. Yes, my grandfather was very fortunate, his family was (somehow they lost everything some time after WW2, we never talked about it, it was painful but because of losing money but because he lost his father over it) very rich, I can't imagine what it would of been like if he was poor or even just middle class in the first half of the 20th century. Despite all that It was still painfully lonely.
"If you're going to be a cripple, it's better to be a rich cripple. Take care, Snow." Tyrion Lannister.
I keep seeing all these happy faces in this video, and I can't stop crying with joy. He would of been so overjoyed to see this, to see people finally for the first time make that connection, that basic interaction that hearing people take for granted, that he had to work so hard to achieve, to hear their own voice, to hear the voice of their loved ones. He would be so proud at this moment.

I love how they look like they are calling out to someone, "Quick grab my hand!"
If I could do what you do, I would do it myself… and if I could do what you do, I would do it for free.
