I'm questioning if I'm quioromantic and honestly I feel like Dwight from The Office just trying to piece everything together (I'm a very logical person and don't like leaving questions unanswered, so basically every moment I'm not actively doing something else is spent figuring this out, lol). I believe it was a term coined not too long ago by @blazer-the-delphox and @aroinigo, which they described as “when you feel attraction after forming a close bond with someone, but you can’t distinguish between that attraction and other forms of attraction (sexual vs romantic, aesthetic vs romantic, romantic vs sensual, etc.).”

Hi!! So... I'm currently questioning if I'm aro or not. I don't know how to identify romantic attraction and if I were to have a crush, I don't know if I would be able to distinguish between platonic or romantic feelings. I think I would be open to relationship if a person I knew well enough or knew enough about asked me

Without knowing you, it’s very hard to give you full advice on whether you are aro or not. From the description that you have given me, demi romantic could be a possibility as well, as that means that you don’t form a romantic connection w someone unless you already have an emotional bond w them.

But you also don’t need to be completely set on having a label, it’s totally fine if you use the label aro but want to be in a relationship or do feel some sort of romantic attraction, rarely are things as clear cut as people would like to believe

has anyone else quoiromantic/arospec had like, their heart broken cos a friend they really loved started dating someone. like knowing you arent their favorite person like they are/were to you? (i also have adhd so rejection sensitive dysphoria w other shit that probably plays into it but still)

Can you explain a QPR more in-depth? I've heard it defined both as queer platonic relationship and quasi-platonic relationship.

I’m not sure I could answer it in more depth than I already have, I’m afraid. But afaik queer platonic relationship and quasi-platonic relationship both mean the same thing, it is just a preference as to whether or not you like to use the word queer

Yes, of course. Thank you both for telling me this. :) I’ve only ever heard queer in reference to sexuality so it didn’t occur to me that it would be used for non-cis people
