"Sisters make the world go round."
Lauren Myracle, Peace, Love, & Baby Ducks
In light of recent US news, I would like to share one of the first quotes that was said to me a lot as a kid when we talked about Iraq. Almost decades later I found it in a tv series I was watching, M*A*S*H.
Hawkeye: War isn't Hell. War is war, and Hell is Hell. And of the two, war is a lot worse.
Father Mulcahy: How do you figure, Hawkeye?
Hawkeye: Easy, Father. Tell me, who goes to Hell?
Father Mulcahy: Sinners, I believe.
Hawkeye: Exactly. There are no innocent bystanders in Hell. War is chock full of them - little kids, cripples, old ladies. In fact, except for some of the brass, almost everybody involved is an innocent bystander.
if trump literally decided to go to war without another country WITHOUT CONGRESS’ APPROVAL, why hasn’t he been removed from office or had his power limited yet?
edit: higher ups are apparently considering impeaching him but that didn’t really work, we just need to get him out of office and prevent him and any of his supporters/members of his administration from running.
Iran recently discovered it has 10% of the world’s antimony reserves (a rare and precious mineral), and also has large quantities of lithium … but I’m sure that has absolutely nothing to do with the re-scripting of, “We have to invade because they have WMDs”
All maga to the front lines now. This is what you’ve been begging for. A fucking war, big talk online. Here’s your chance to prove it. Eat shit.
Do not let this empire toss away your humanity. Do not let this shit empire stop you from empathizing with the victims of American foreign policy.
America is a fascist state. Empathize with people they tell you are the enemy, the “radical” left and victims (people of color, muslims, those exploited by american capitalist interest) .
Moderates who are still pro fascism are still fascists. Those who are for this pointless war spurned by a genocidal imperial vassal state should not be trusted.
You are a human being. Every Muslim in Iran facing American bombs is being targeted for imperialist interests. Listen to a fucking leftist or the victims of imperialism.
You have more in common with them than those in power telling you Iranians are the enemy, as they’d gladly toss you aside, jail you, or kill you as well if you’re inconvenient. Biden starter the work to deport Pro Palestinian protestors and, well.
I could go on
Me: I'd just like affordable housing, everyone being able to have healthcare including mental, dental and vision and being able to afford healthy alternatives at the grocery store.
America: best I can do is going to war with whoever Israel says to.
He has no plan. Republican Congress gives the guy with no plan unchecked power.
We all suffer.
Five months into Trump's presidency, and we are in a war.
Did his supporters have that on the bingo card?
this edit literally took a YEAR off my life and i don't even think i like it that much
I love this!!!! I’m tearing up a bit
It has often been said that "you should care about [group/issue x, y, or z] because they'll come for you next," and that can be an effective appeal.
But this is not solidarity.
Solidarity is being there for each other because we recognize the fragility and vulnerability in our shared humanity and the importance and validity of our diverse struggles. We all have needs sometimes, some more existential and urgent than others.
We find strength, comfort, love, and safety in each other. That is community. That is solidarity.

✨COMPLETE✨
A hand grasped his arm, sending a brief thrill down Merlin's nerves as he was forced around to face the person behind him. Armour gleamed in the firelight: supple chainmail glinted, and the solid iron of a pauldron curved lovingly over one broad shoulder. The length of a sword blade separated them. The point hovered, steady and sure, over Merlin's heart, braced to run him through, but he did not care about any of that. He was too busy drinking in the sight of the man before him. He could never forget him, no matter how many centuries had passed. 'Arthur?' When Merlin ultimately fails in his destiny, the fading remnants of magic that linger in the modern world fling him not just back in time, but sideways as well. He ends up in a Camelot where all his friends are alive, well and aware of his magic. He ends up in a Camelot where his alternate self died almost a year ago. Can he, Arthur and their friends still forge the golden age he was once promised, or will grief and suspicion tear them apart?
It's finally done. I just posted the hundredth, and final, chapter on AO3. A huge thank you to everyone who has joined me on this ride. I'm delighted to have been part of your lives in some small way. 💖
If you enjoyed this fic, I'd love a reblog to help spread awareness that it's finally done 🙏
Oh. My. God. This is probably the best fanfic I’ve ever read, and one of the best fantasy novels I’ve ever read. It stands on its own feet, apart from the show (which I know because I haven’t watched it since 2015). The characters are all so well written, the plot is immaculate, and I cried at the end. I can’t wait to reread it.
I can’t reiterate enough how much I love this fic. It’s one of my favorite books, now. Amazing job, thank you so much for all your effort and for sharing it with us!!!!
