If the Smith family went to pride, I think Jerry would do something like wear hankies in the colours of the rainbow/bi flag and Rick would be like ‘damn Jerry, didn’t realise you were chill like that’ and Jerry would just think Rick was complimenting him on being woke/progressive and then be really confused why so many people were hitting on him with extremely specific kinks.

i love it when writers play sympathy chicken with me by making characters who suck for understandable reasons but are, like, so uncharismatic and regressive and genuinely difficult to root for about it. i love it when being a victim doesn't make someone a better person or motivate any kind of self reflection or improvement. i love it when people who were hurt respond in mundane, unromantically terrible ways that only make them more pathetic and repellent to others. i'm not even being ironic these are some of my favourite kinds of characters. can't say i'm as fond of what happens when they're introduced to a fandom though.

it's crazy how easy it is for morty to just completely forget everything rick does to him just because a few sweet words come out of his mouth . he doesn't really understand what familial love is ACTUALLY supposed to be like since he never experienced it , so he just goes with anything that makes him feel appreciated and thinks "this is okay . this is normal ." he needs more therapy im so serious .....
