WE NEED MORE TYR

Warning: non-canon character: bad(?) Tyr - he was still young and worked for Odin, at that time he didn’t have bifrost eyes. He got no idea his doing was evil. He still very polite though.

This version of Tyr is from my fic Tyr’s Journey to the South. I’m currently translating it to English and I’ll post it on AO3!

Apple in Norse mythology = fruit of youth

I’m so into Odin family … I had this random thought that if you replaced the mask in Ragnarok with an apple, it would still make sense. Odin’s obsession with knowledge reminds me of Adam and the forbidden fruit, and he’s also after immortality—both things the apple can symbolize.

Obviously Norse mythology and Christianity are totally different, and this is just me personal understanding for fun. But still it’s a fascinating coincidence and I couldn’t stop thinking about this possibility XD

I hope you don't mind me asking this but why did you put Odin in the magical boy squad??? Is there any reason for it??? Because I feel like Baldur or Heimdall would make more sense but nothing is wrong with your choice either!!! I just would love to know your reasons behind each character's placement.

Actually there’s not much reason behind the choice of Odin, I’m trying to make an old men squad and Heimdall’s simply too young for this —he should seat by Atreus’ table. Baldur could also be a good pick for Sayaka, but he mostly fights with his bare hands, while Odin holds a walking stick all the time — makes sense that he holds a weapon. If I draw a band AU Baldur and Heimdall will be the best fit.

As for Tyr, it’s his weapon and his history of traveling many lands. Thor as Homura is based on a feel that he could become a friend of Kratos and fight alongside him, they’re similar yet so different. And Mimir… well you know he’s a head and …yeah!
