Also i have this idea that eurymachus is a quarter egyptian (polybus is half egyptian half ithican) and he is appropriating their culture like a white person discovering they are 5% italien
His grip was hard on the bow, pulling the sting? Nothing. Bending the bow. Still, nothing. The throne was getting cold and Antinous swore.. he saw one of the people, one of his people watching him. He knew he was supposed to win but everyone knew that Odysseus’ strength as king and as a man, it was almost unmatched. He hissed as the string snapped and cut his face with the force. A bit of blood springing from the spot on his throat.
“This competition is so stupid. We’ve been doing this, slaving ourselves over a bow for hours!” He said throwing the bow to the floor with harsh force. Glaring at the quiver that held the arrows like they’d personally offended him. The kid, prince, gods forsaken Telemachus.
Eurymachus, as if reading his mind spoke out. “I sssay we meet the prince on the beach.. he’sss on a diplomatic missssssion, right? He won’t expect an ambush..” The snake tongued man said, his hand holding a glass of wine. A drunk in Antinous’ eyes. But a friend who treated him well. Amphinomus he could tell didn’t like this idea, he’d been standoff with their ideas.
“We’ll hold him down! Hissss pride would no longer be intact if we leave him alive. He’sss getting to bold.. We should ssslit his throat.. hisss pride, trust, we’ll ssmash it all! Sssmash hisss ssskull and bones! Leave him to bleed, he won’t get passst the dock.. especially if we use him in.. EVERY way~!” He said with a hiss like laugh
Antinous nodded along, a laugh leaving him and a hand coming to the snakes back. Inside though.. he hated this.. he hated that there was always people watching, that they knew he was too weak. That they knew he didn’t want to be this person deep down. Eurylochus would know that. He knew the real deal Antinous was.. he smiled to himself but then flashed his teeth at the snakes, showing his ‘approval’ of his idea.
“You were always smart Eurylo- Eurymachus.. Eurymachus..” He’d been doing that a lot. Fuck he missed him.. no! No he can’t do that.. he looked at the piercing eyes in the dark.. god this was hard to do. This act. Someone shoot him now, right? He didn’t know those eyes weren’t a guard of his home.. but a guard, the man, of this home. The one they’d ransacked and treated like Troy.
His eyes seemed to widen when the strangers narrowed. He looked back at the men. “And think,” he laughed, ending the whispers and agreements of Eurymachus’ idea. “If the prince is dead, who will stop us from our ticket to the queen? To the throne!?” He held up his glass of wine and swallowed the rest down. He didn’t want to do this.. gods knew..
He used a chair, letting it hit the table’s surface with a tap before walking across “Who’s with us? Who wants to have the queen their way and kill that little wolf of a prince?!” He said getting the shouts and agreements of the men in the room. Some holding up their glasses. “Channel your fire! We will have our way! Have what WE want!! Hold them down!!”
He then felt it. Red, hot, pain. Through the throat. It came out of his mouth, he choked. He turned. The king.. it wasn’t a guard of his kingdom that was watching him.. and he said it all in front of him.. with a thunk he fell across the table, blood streaming from his mouth and neck.
7 minutes of memory. Life flashes through they say.. no.. the only thing that flashed for him. Eurylochus. Their training, their time, he would never admit that to him.. he wouldn’t get the chance to. His eyes shut, a sigh of relief. He was free to no longer be what others wanted. In those 7 minutes, that flashing montage of his life. One thing, again and again. Eurylochus.

A/N: Yall need to stop thinking Eurymachus is a baby girl (it's me. I'm yall). Please read the warnings on this one guys. I go and ramble about all these different fanfic ideas and then go and write a completely different one lol. Thanks to @suit0rs-and-t3l3 for the way I portray Eurymachus.
Brave Little Prince
What was the real goal here? It wasn't to fuck Penelope, no, certainly not. He couldn't care less about her. She could go die in a hole for all he cared.
Of course, he'd have to fuck her. If only to consumate the marriage. Maybe afterwards, he'd toss her in that hole. Call it a suicide. Or maybe he'd blame it on Antinous, call him jealous of the throne. Antinous was far too friendly with his way to power anyway. One act of treason is all it'd take to remove Antinous as a threat to his throne.
The boy, Telemachus. He'd have to do something about him, too. Maybe Antinous had a point about him. He was getting too strong, no longer compliant. Maybe he'd throw the boy down the hole with his mother. Or maybe he'd keep them separated, so they couldn't plot together, like they clearly were doing now.
Either way, everyone would know the name of King Eurymachus.

Of course, Eurymachus knew, logically, that he'd have to stall killing off the boy, at least until he secures Penelope's hand. But if he didn't stop bothering him, he might just start planting seeds to get Antinous to do the dirty work.
"Hey, Eurymachus-" Telemachus asked, leaning against the doorframe.
"What."
"I need to talk to you about somethin'." His voice sounded strange. If the suitor was anyone else, he might not have picked it up. However, it was Eurymachus. Best friends with Antinous, "sir drinks-a-lot" of Ithaca. He could tell that Telemachus was at least a little tipsy. Probably not drunk, he wasn't stumbling any. Just tipsy enough to face a suitor, alone. Not his smartest decision.
"About what, young prince?" Eurymachus knew better than to the deny the prince. At least, right now. Soon enough, he'll marry his mother, and then he will no longer have to deal with the prince. He'll toss him in the hole with his mother.
"You... need to stop being mean."
"Being mean?" Eurymachus prompted.
"You keep... being mean. You have to stop."
"Why should I?"
Telemachus approached the older one and shoved him backward on the bed, climbing on top of him.
"Little wolf, what are you doing?"
"Making you stop being mean." He reasons, before digging his fingers into the suitor's sides.
Regrettably, Eurymachus tensed up, his head pressing back against the bed on its own.
"Stop!" He hissed. It's been quite a while since he'd been tickled. It was hard to do anything except grab onto Telemachus' wrists, praying to every god that would listen that he would stop.
"Nuh-uh. Not until you stop being mean."
"I'm not being mean! Get off me!" Eurymachus hated this. Why did he feel like he couldn't move, like he was stuck? Why couldn't he move or fight or just toss Telemachus off of him?
"I just gotta make sure you won't be mean in the future."
"Young prince, I- fuhuck-!" Eurymachus squeezed the prince's wrists as hard as he could when he moved to his hips. He turned his head to hide in his shoulder, small titters beginning to escape. He almost sounded like a squirt bottle as he was trying to fight his own laughter. "Stohohop!"
"I can't understand you. You're laughing too much." Telemachus teased.
Eurymachus just shook his head no. This couldn't be happening. He was being humiliated in front of the prince, he could hardly move, let alone fight back. Maybe he'd kill the prince first. He would, without a doubt, if this doesn't stop soon.
"Mahaha- mahake ihihit stahahap!" The suitor's hands start slapping at Telemachus. Not very hard, he was weakened by the tickles. His laugh grew louder, more shrill. Gods, the involuntary begging was completely humiliating.
"What's the magic word?"
"Gohohods- stohohop plehehease!" He gritted out, hating that he could be reduced to being mannerful just from a few touches.
"Do you promise to stop being mean?" Eurymachus nodded, desperate to be rid of the tickling fingers.
Telemachus finally stopped, getting off of him.
"No more being mean. Or else I'll tickle you again." Telemachus declared, and left him to collect himself on his own.
Yeah. Eurymachus was definitely going to kill that annoyance of a prince.
BONUS SCENE
Antinous walked into Eurymachus' room.
"Hey, are you good? I haven't seen you all day."
"That bastard of a prince came in here and made me promise to not be mean. Fucking asshole." Antinous tilted his head.
"Oh? And how'd he manage to do that?" The smaller suitor crossed his arms and turned his head away, refusing to respond. "Eurymachus. Talk to me."
"He- tickled me." He sighed.
"Mm. He didn't find your worst spot, did he?"
"I don't have a worst spot."
"Oh, really? Then do tell, what do you call this?" Antinous smirks, squeezing just above his knee. The shrill scream was completely involuntary. He didn't mean to start kicking. Why was he so helpless when people started tickling him? Why couldn't he move?
"STOP STOP STOP! ANTINOHOHOUS!" His hands flapped helplessly, before they decided to cover his face. He could barely even think, much less plot his demise. But rest assured, Antinous would pay for this, one way or another.
"Alright, alright." Antinous stopped, gently rubbing the spot to chase away the phantom sensations.
"I hate you."
"No, you don't." Eurymachus glared at his friend.
"Fine. But don't do that again."
"I won't do it again, today."
"Ever."
"You heard me. Better keep an eye out, Eury."
Antinous was very, very lucky that Eurymachus needed him alive.
[Eurymachus hears a knock at the door to his chambers. When he opens the door, he finds Amphinomus standing there with a bouquet of red roses]
Uhm- I'm here to take you on that date ʕ•﹏•ʔ

*He smiled and smoothed out his chiton.* “Then let’s go..!” *He smiled and took the bouquet, grabbing his hand and smiling. They decided to go to the VERY far back of the palace garden. Better safe than sorry.*
*Eurymachus, of course. Made sure they had really good wine. Always did he smiled at him as they sat.* “This is nice. Been a while since I went on a date..”
[Amphinomus takes small sips of the wine, not wanting to get drunk again and make Eurymachus uncomfortable]

[Amphinomus smiles at Eurymachus before remembering something]
Oh wait!
[he turns to behind where they were sitting, and grabs a small bundle of cloth he had set down earlier. Unwrapping the cloth, Eurymachus sees that he had some of Eury's favorite baked treats]
I remember you saying that you really liked these, so I asked some of the cooks to make me some!
*He looked at the peanut butter cookies. A simple snack but.. a thought. Consideration. Something that someone payed attention to. REAL attention too.. not just half assed..* “Thanksss Amphi.. I.. appreciate it.”
*He smiled his golden tooth showing slightly. As he took one and smiled eating it.*
[Eurymachus hears a knock at the door to his chambers. When he opens the door, he finds Amphinomus standing there with a bouquet of red roses]

“Amphinomus.. wh..” *He slowly turns. Blinking slow.* “Why did you just..”
“Amphi.. are you asking me to marry you?! Apples are marriage proposals!!”
“ITS A MARRIAGE PROPOSAL AMPHI.. EVERYONE KNOWS THAT-” *He sighed and covered his face, holding the apple in his hand still before just dropping it on the table.*
*He took a massive drink from his wine goblet and just looked at him.* “You’re a fucking idiot. I THOUGHT you were throwing something like.. I don’t know but- Not a god damn marriage proposal!?”
“Amphi, you need to start asking questions.. not just taking and doing.. that’s what the binder I made you is for..”
*He sighed and stood up. Looking at him before shaking his head.* “Don’t apologize. Sorry for shouting it’s just.. a shock..”
*He thought for a minute tossing the apple up and down like a ball before taking two fingers and moving his head up to look at him.* “How about. The apple.. sssetsss up a date. Not marriage.. if usually is for marriage but.. if you really want to we can..” *He clears his throat.* “Go on a date or sssomething..”
