Funtime Freddy, Lolbit, Ballora, Bon-Bon, Bonnet, and Circus Baby are all sitting together, designing new casings. Foxy is next to Lolbit with a paper of their own. Occasionally, they glance at Lolbit’s drawing, o commenting on it every so often. Charlotte sits a little bit away from the group, designing a casing of her own.

Circus Baby’s blue eyes meet his. “Good,” she replies evenly, then returns to her work. Now that William’s a little closer, he notices she’s got two different papers in front of her with wildly different designs on them.

“Did you want both of these to be ion the same animatronic, or separate?”

“We have different ideas of what we want this body to be,” She says slowly. “We drew them out to try and help decide.”

One drawing looks a lot like a cleaner Scrap Baby, claw and all. The other looks a bit more like the original Circus Baby design, though it’s been stylized and souped up significantly.

“I can create a way that you could switch between the two forms”

With that offer, it’s like a switch is flipped. Her expression shifts, and she regards him with a new suspicion. “What would be in it for you?” Baby questions. Her eyes flicker green for a second, but she quickly blinks it away.

“Nothing, really, I suppose… I just want to help… and although it’s a different universe, I still feel like you’re my daughter. And I want to help you. To make up for all the horrid things I did to hurt you.”

Her eyes turn green again, and this time it isn’t blinked away. “Really?” She asks in a small voice. It is, unmistakably, Elizabeth’s voice.

She shakes her head firmly, and suddenly, there are two blue eyes glaring at him.

“Yes. And I’m trying not to make you- either of you- uncomfortable with it. I am truly sorry if I do…”

“Oh, drop the act,” Baby hisses, and the rest of her troupe looks up, suddenly at attention. “I don’t know what kind of game you’re playing, but I will not let you drag us into it again.”

“I- I’m not playing a game with you. I’m sorry… I- I’ll leave.”

he starts to back away

“Wait,” Elizabeth calls softly. “I’m sorry Baby was so rude… you don’t have to go,”

“…she’s trying to protect you. I don’t blame her. It’s sad that she has to protect you from me, but I’ve done terrible things and my record of protecting you is far below where it should have been as your father. I have made many, many choices that have hurt my Lizzy and you. And I am truly sorry for that. I suppose I’m trying to make up for lost time in a way, and redeem myself for the unforgivable choices I’ve made. To prove I am worthy of this second chance I’ve been given.”

“Of course you are!” She replies. “If… if anyone wasn’t worthy…” She trails off, quiet once more.

“No, no, no.” *he grabs her hand “Sweetheart, you are more than worthy of every chance. You were a child. I was a fool who made conscious decisions that not only put my children in danger, but I killed other children too… this is all my fault.”

She stares down at his hand for a moment, before pulling him into a tight hug. It’s, perhaps, a touch uncomfortable; unlike Foxy, she isn’t particularly careful with her strength. She’s not hurting him, though.

…She’s trembling, a little.

He hugs back, rubbing her back.

She presses heavily into the touch, relaxing.

He rocks her slightly, sniffling a bit. “You deserve the world, sweetheart. I’m sorry I haven’t been able to give you it, but I hope to make up for that.”

She clings as if she hasn’t been hugged in a long, long time.

He begins to cry, holding her tightly

They stay like that for a long time. When she finally pulls away again, her eyes are blue.

She sits back down at the table, and he takes her lack of hostility as a good sign.

She nods, returning to her drawings. “…We should go get the others,” Foxy murmurs out of nowhere, sounding oddly tired. “Yendo would probably love to have a casing of their own.”

“Oh, yes, indeed”

“Yendo, the Minireenas, and the Babs all stayed at Eggs’ house, to hold down the fort,” Foxy explains. They’re half-slumped against Lolbit in one of their smaller, more organic forms, and William notices that they’re wearing an oversized hoodie that they definitely stole from somewhere.

“Mm. I assume he wasn’t fond of that.”

Foxy pauses. “I’m… actually not sure,” they admit. “That was when we were still Ennard, and I wasn’t particularly lucid then, and hadn’t been in…. years?” They pause, glancing at the rest of their troupe. “Yes? Is that right?”

No one confirms or denies their claim.

“All I know is my son went by Eggs for a short amount of time, and he wasn’t fond of you lot for the longest time”

Foxy hesitates. “After… after Lolbit was decommissioned, and after a few months of being underground without them…” they trail off with a sigh. “I… became very out of it. I was entirely non-verbal, aside from my pre-recorded show scripts going off during performances. The whole thing was due to part of how the killcode works, and it… has happened since, where I’ve acted more aggressive or more animalistic because of a threat.”

They talk hesitantly and a little awkwardly, like they don’t quite know how to discus it.

“Yendo would come visit sometimes,” they recall. “It’s fairly hazy, but I remember he’d sit and talk about whatever was on his mind, and it helped a little.”

“I’m all done with my drawing!” Freddy announces, showing it to William.

….He’s drawn all manner of alarming hidden weapons into the design.

His cooling system makes a noise like a huff. “You’re no fun,” he complains.

“Oh, I’m sure. Perhaps you’d enjoy playing Barbie’s with my daughter. Last I played with her, she was making her dolls reenact history. And she stole a knife from the kitchen to make a Barbie guillotine. I nearly had a heart attack seeing it, but she made it herself and was awfully proud”

Funtime Foxy makes a little sound, giving Freddy a judgemental look.

“Oh, like it’s my fault for enjoying the thing we were made to do,” Freddy snarks.

His apology goes ignored. “Don’t act all high and mighty,” Freddy goads. “We both know you liked it, too.”

Foxy snarls, standing. Freddy does the same.

“If you’re going to fight, at least have the decency to do so away from the table,” Ballora says without looking up from what she’s doing.

“At one point I did, yes. But now, I’m doing my best to become a man that’s worthy of my family”

Both Freddy and Foxy seem to have forgotten him in favor of fighting with each other.

Ballora slides her paper over to William. The illustration on it is surprisingly detailed, and while it still resembles her original design, it’s been changed a lot.

“This is lovely, Ballora! Now, in the past, I know you were very well endowed. Is that a feature you’d like to keep, or would you like to be…. More the size of a human woman?”

She gives him a look and gestures back down to the paper. Her chest seems a little smaller in the drawing, but the main change is in the way the plating would be painted, making it look like she’s wearing a more traditional ballet outfit.

Foxy hesitates. “After… after Lolbit was decommissioned, and after a few months of being underground without them…” they trail off with a sigh. “I… became very out of it. I was entirely non-verbal, aside from my pre-recorded show scripts going off during performances. The whole thing was due to part of how the killcode works, and it… has happened since, where I’ve acted more aggressive or more animalistic because of a threat.”

They talk hesitantly and a little awkwardly, like they don’t quite know how to discus it.

“Yendo would come visit sometimes,” they recall. “It’s fairly hazy, but I remember he’d sit and talk about whatever was on his mind, and it helped a little.”

“I’m all done with my drawing!” Freddy announces, showing it to William.

….He’s drawn all manner of alarming hidden weapons into the design.

“Oh…. Perhaps we will just make the outside and leave all the weapons out..”

His cooling system makes a noise like a huff. “You’re no fun,” he complains.

“Oh, I’m sure. Perhaps you’d enjoy playing Barbie’s with my daughter. Last I played with her, she was making her dolls reenact history. And she stole a knife from the kitchen to make a Barbie guillotine. I nearly had a heart attack seeing it, but she made it herself and was awfully proud”

Freddy laughs.

Funtime Foxy makes a little sound, giving Freddy a judgemental look.

“Oh, like it’s my fault for enjoying the thing we were made to do,” Freddy snarks.

“And I’m sorry that I made you to do that…”

His apology goes ignored. “Don’t act all high and mighty,” Freddy goads. “We both know you liked it, too.”

Foxy snarls, standing. Freddy does the same.

“If you’re going to fight, at least have the decency to do so away from the table,” Ballora says without looking up from what she’s doing.

“At one point I did, yes. But now, I’m doing my best to become a man that’s worthy of my family”

Both Freddy and Foxy seem to have forgotten him in favor of fighting with each other.
