he found his zigzagoon Gene (Simmons) rifling through the trash bins behind his mum’s bakery when he was four and immediately fell in love with her, dragging her inside and bathing her, treating her injuries and hunting up a Pokeball for her

Axl (Rose) was found on route 9 when Percy was taking some of his mum’s rescue Pokémon and Gene for walkies. He came barreling out of the tall grass and scaled Percy, stealing bites from his croissant

Sid (Viscous) was adopted when Percy did his very first solo rescue at 8. He was caught in a mudslide on route 9 and Percy, Gene and Axl dug him out.

i love the quiet de-gendering of animal crossing. you can change your gender at any time and it does pretty much nothing. it’s not even called gender, it’s just called style. the villager dialogue boxes arent color-coded blue and pink anymore. shopkeepers dont comment if you buy the “wrong” gender of clothing like they did before. your character’s pronouns are rarely used, maybe not used at all? it’s great
