For the st185 WRC cars, did TTE use all models of the GT-FOUR? It seems like they only used the Carlos Sainz homologation of the st185 in their races. Or were all st185 models equally used?

Yes I imagine all of TTE’s WRC cars were C.S. edition cars. For the gr.a cars this probably played little to no advantage beyond the new vented front end, even parts that were visually similar(top mount intercooler) to the road car were somehow altered internally to boost the performance over the factory component. The Gr.N cars would see the biggest advantage from the C.S. homologations, as these cars were basically stock out side of the basics.

As far as famous st185s racing without the CS bodywork, back in the mid 90s Jason Priestly from 90210 rallied a 185 in the SCCA Pro rally championship in the production gt class.
