i haven’t been on here in ages but just needed somewhere to document my thoughts:
My great aunt is so so so so cool, we celebrated her 80th birthday today and her husband had created a video celebrating her life full of clips and photos of her throughout her lifetime. She is really charismatic, performed in plays, has travelled the world and i find her really inspirational. It makes me sad that i wasn’t very close with her when i was growing up (she’s my nan’s older sister) and all i’ve ever known about her from my nan is that she was “the bossy one” lmao
She is very different to the typical personality of my mum’s side of the family, which is quite withdrawn, shy, timid etc. and unfortunately what i have been lumbered with lol. She is creative and just really easygoing and idk i am really inspired to just LIVE MY LIFE a little more because her video was full of so many amazing things that i would love to look back on for myself at an older age.
She wants me to send her some of the artwork i do which is rlly nice because communication with my nan can be difficult now so it will be nice to have conversations with someone from an older generation again!! Her husband is exactly like her too and i kinda see him as the grandad i never had (quite literally lol).
i think that is all, i am feeling quite content today yayyyyy bye lmao
