#10 Melody Time
Again this was just a small film of shorts put together, including some more appearances from the caballeros!
The only short I remembered from this was the story of Johnny Appleseed. This legend has a statue outside the Cleveland Natural History Museum where my mom took me often. The statue is resting against a tree and is wearing if I remember correctly a pot on his head.
When I was in WDW last month I made a note to eat at Pecos Bill’s restaurant and Erik and I had a “memorable experience” there to say the least. So the special celebration meal right now is just plane beef and cheese nachos with a side of rice and a cake pop. As the kid brought me my tray, there was a small fly on the cheese. The kid tried to shoe it away as I was asking for him to just get me another one.
The other people standing around the counter were also telling him to just throw it out and bring another. He finally picked up the tray, and what did he do? He carries it back to the heat lamp and tells them he needs a new one. A second person, grabs the same one, bug is now fully in the cheese, and brings it to my tray. At this point the whole crowd was like “dude throw it away and get a new one.” I never saw two more confused teenagers in my life.
I know there is a labor shortage but I mean come on, common sense says you don’t serve flies to your customers. Even if they tell you, “you cannot throw away any food” you just put it in the back and go to the next one. smh.
There was one short that really represented the times. It was about a young tugboat that was immature and just wouldn’t grow up. In punishment for his action he was carried through the water to show him all the consequences of not “acting right.” One of those consequences was being the tugboat that carries the garbage boat., inferring that garbage men are people who are basically dregs of society.
Anyone who does that job for me is a saint and deserves a raise.
