[AUDIO LOG OF RACHEL YOUNG]
[RECOVERED 2018]
May 21st, 2012.
There's something about her in the Black Archives. Because of course there is, and of course, it's in the most restricted part of this entire building.
They're not just going to let me go down there on a whim.
[SHE SIGHS. HER TONE SOFTENS, OVERLY SWEET.]
"Oh, yes, sorry, Mr. Cutter, one of your AIs got me confused with a missing person from 2009, and now I've went on a wild goose chase trying to find information on her! Would you mind if I went down to the Black Archives and jeopardized the entire company?"
[SHE LAUGHS, RETURNING TO HER NORMAL TONE.]
Not a chance. Goddamnit.
Good evening, Mr. Lambert!
How have you been? For a communications officer, I've been noticing a lack of updates from your end. I'm sure it's just an internal failure, I'd hate to think that you've been falling behind lately.
Command sends their best.
- @rachel-e-young
Ms. Young, what an unexpected surprise.
I hope you have been well, and I apologise for the lack of communications; I was not aware you had been promoted to Head of Communications for the Hephaestus mission?
If you must know, there have been communications sent to Command, just to those appropriate. Thank you very much for your concern, and I will make sure to update you as necessary. With respect to Mr. Cutter, of course.
This is Communications Officer Samuel Lambert, signing off.
Oh, funny! You've discovered humor, I see.
I haven't been promoted to Head of Communications just yet, but that doesn't mean that it isn't part of my responsibility to make sure everything's progressing... on schedule.
I'm glad to hear that you've been keeping in contact with Mr. Cutter. It'd be a shame to let go of someone as dedicated as you.

[AUDIO LOG OF RACHEL YOUNG]
[RECOVERED 2018]
May 1st, 2012. I've been researching this... Andrea Nash. Quite a character. Nearly everything about her has been scrubbed, which is interesting, given her profession.
Someone didn't want to be found.
She doesn't seem to have had that many friends. Hardly any records of a family, no personal relationships... either she didn't do personal relationships, or she was deeply unpleasant to be around. Let's hope it's the first.
...this is all very quaint information. Nothing that would explain how a top-of-its-class sensus unit would mistake her for me.
I'll figure it out. I always do.
Good evening, Enlil! I'm following up on my question about Andrea Nash. Any information would be appreciated. Respond when you're available, I assume we're both busy with fulfilling Mr. Cutter's orders.
- @rachel-e-young
Oh, hello, Miss Young! I have been doing some research, and I have found a few points about this "Ms. Nash" character that seems to be in both of our heads:
Born April 24th, 1984, in Omaha, Nebraska
Went to Columbia University, studied architecture before dropping out
Had a purported "fascination" with astronomy, according to some friends on a now-defunct Myspace account
Was officially labeled a missing person December, 2009.
Unfortunately, there's not much else from public sources. Will that be sufficient, Miss Young?
Missing person. Hm. I'll look into that.
Thank you, Enlil. This is a good place to start.

April 9th, 2012.
Sorry for the... inconsistent updates lately. I've been busy. Forgetting to do the little things. Forgetting a lot, recently.
The sort of thing I should tell Doctor Pryce. The sort of thing I won't be telling her. I don't want her in my head. I've had enough of that.
[SHE INHALES SHAKILY, THEN CONTINUES, SOFTER.]
Mr. Cutter says she's safe. Years of working with them, and I still don't believe it. He'd call me ungrateful for that.
I want a break. I could probably ask for one. Get a day or two off.
I don't know where I would go. I don't remember anywhere I could go.
[HER VOICE CLEARS. SHE LAUGHS ONCE, SHOCKED.]
Jesus, what's wrong with me?
Survival Tip No.464
At the end of the day, it’s whoever wants it more.
Afternoon, Enlil. Could we talk?
- @rachel-e-young
Good afternoon, Ms. Young!
How can I be of service?
When you first contacted me, you identified me as "Ms. Nash". A glitch in your systems? Vocal recognition software can get... testy at times, can't it?
Yes, I do believe that it was a glitch! I am not always the best at identifying voices, although I have never been wrong before.
May I ask how this is relevant? Are you searching for a "Ms. Nash" in the database?
Good to know. Would you like me to update Doctor Pryce on our new discovery? I'm sure she'd find it fascinating.
Nothing quite so dramatic, Enlil. Simple curiosity. I had nothing better to do, and who better to bother than the friendliest AI around?
Doctor Pryce? Oh, well... Of course, if you think she should know! I'm sure she would be happy to have an update on how her tech is working.
Aw, that's so kind of you, Ms. Young! I'm happy to be of assistance.
I'll make a note to talk to her.
...but if you'll let me be nosy, is there a Ms. Nash in the database?
Well, there isn't not a "Ms. Nash" in the database! By which I mean, yes, there is.
Would you like me to pull up what we have on her?
I would.

David has been just darling recently. Entirely unprofessional.
Doctor Pryce said she would do something about that. I've yet to see a difference. It's fine. She's a busy woman. She has much better things to do than reprimand him for being childish.
[A LAUGH.]
I think he's trying to poison me. He's remarkably bad at it. It can't be that hard to poison someone. Hm.
Something to think about.
Another… complaint filed against Ms Young. What a surprise.
If someone has a problem with me, David, I'd recommend that they take it to me directly. Posting vaguely on here isn't doing anyone any good...
Lovely to see you, though.
Hm? Oh, it’s not my complaint, /Ms Young/. I’m simply the messenger.
Oh, I’m sure it is.
Of course, of course.
How have you been, David? Special Projects keeping you busy? Still doing Mr. Cutter's errands?
