Minor biographical details: You can call me Rachel, Rachello, Cello, whatever. I’m in my 30s, queer ace, she/her, married. I write primarily fluff and smut for whatever fandoms my wife and I are into at any given time.

I post all my fanfiction on Ao3, which you can find [here]; otherwise, the tag I use on this blog is #my fic.

I never leave fandoms, they are always simply placed into mental storage. I will revisit any fandom for any reason at any time. Back burnered stuff could become relevant tomorrow because I got caught up on some whim or vibe and now I’m back on my bullshit or whatever.

However, that being said!

Right now, my main fandoms as far as my fanfiction goes are Hazbin Hotel, Twisted-Wonderland, and technically Teen Wolf (I’m so sorry for how long that fic takes me to write guys; truly it is my magnum opus, along with another fic I’d rather not discuss lol).

Hazbin Hotel:

My main ship is Alastor/Vox — I use the tags radiostatic (functionally the default ship name), alvox (I only write dom/top!Alastor and sub/bottom!Vox), and staticlovetune (my radiostatic is always requited and mutual).

I enjoy the canon ships from the series, and don’t have a lot of strong feelings about other non-canon ships. I don’t really write the Vees as like… genuine besties? I write them as mean girls, so like… They’re ‘friends’ but also sometimes they hate each other, you know? (Also, while I don’t mind 📺🦋 as an obstacle or whatever, it’ll never be continued into the endgame because I’m writing rquited and romantic radiostatic.)

Alastor’s flavor of asexuality is liable to change on a fic by fic basis, and to be honest, I do probably write Vox as though he’s somewhere on the sex favorable ace spectrum XD Consequence to writing while ace I guess lol

Twisted-Wonderland:

My main ships are: LeoRuggie and JamiKali (in that order, as far as top/bottom dynamics go, although I’m a little looser with jamikali than leoruggie).

My other ships in House order are: TreyRid, CaterAce, Applejuice (Deuce/Epel), JackOrtho, OctaTrio (all three in a relationship together) and Tweelcest (Jade/Floyd is good, idk what to say lol), RookVil, LilIdia, and MalSil. I do kind of roll with Hearts!bowl a little, and I do enjoy Chenya with Cater and/or Ace. I also enjoy Ace with older men and with the other freshmen (Epel, Deuce, and Jack, primarily).

I technically also ship Yuu with Ace and Malleus in the game, but I don’t write it, and I don’t do like reader stuff or anything. I just think their relationship in-game is fun. 8)

Teen Wolf:

It’s just Steter guys. I mean, I also like Steo and I cut my teeth on Sterek, but y’all know I’m just writing That Steter fic right now XD Until it’s done, that’s all I’ve got haha

Oh decisions, decisions. I miiiiight have a handful of smaller fic lying around that could apply to some of the themed days for AlVox week, but doing so does mean I need to be Done with them. And for two of them (days one and three) I’m maybe okay with that, but idk about the third (day two). I’ve been poking at it off and on since season one finished—like the file was literally started in April 2024—so probably we can call it? Probably I won’t go much further with it? But I wanted to at least get them to kiss and they still haven’t yet 😭

Ugh, decisions are hard. Maybe I can redo the scene I was in the middle of and make them kiss that way…? Idk

What do you guys think? Hold out for a longer fic or call it where it is? Me and my eighteen (18) alvox wips (16 unposted) would love to know lol

Hi! Yes!! I actually have a draft open to see if anything comes to me, but I haven’t technically written anything yet. I’d really like to get at least a few short fic done for it if I can though 8)

I’ve been working on lots of things, but also, my work schedule changed recently and it’s been kicking my ass a little bit. Cannot wait for August when they put it back to normal again, lemme tell you. Anyway, hopefully I’ll have some time to knock some things out and get stuff posted!! ;D

Cracking up that I came here to ask something about the atticwife vox fic and another anon mentioned it. Anyway, in reading the sneak peek (nostalgic, loved it!), I forgot what I was going to say so I'll ask a general question.

What's been your favorite radiostatic fic to write so far? It can be one you haven't posted yet. I'm just curious.

Hmmm… My favorite right now is probably a tie between “Put Your Fingers Back to the Keys” (morse code fic) and one I won’t tell you the name of that has the working title “Alastor FUCKS” XD It was on the last poll in secret, as it happens. (Gotta keep an eye on those super innocuous working titles XD I misdirect literally all the time haha)

ANYWAY I’m in a giving mood, so I’ll let you guys have a little taste of that one too. ;P

“Oh?  Surely my history isn’t that interesting to someone as worldly as you.”  Alastor stepped closer, tracing a single finger up his lapel.  “Unless, of course, you’re admitting to being obsessed with me?”

Vox laughed, a desperate edge creeping into it.  “What?  Of course not.  I was just, uh, l-looking for a weak point.  So I can d-destroy you!”  Weak.  No chance Alastor bought that.

Alastor smirked.  “Well, if that’s all, why don’t I just show you?”  His hand slid higher, a clawed finger dragging lightly across his neck over his carotid artery.

“Uh, what?”

“You want to know more about my sex life to see if I have any weaknesses to exploit?  Then why don’t I show you?” Alastor suggested.

Vox’s thoughts stalled, processes grinding to a dead halt.  “L-Like, you’ll let me watch you seduce someone?”

“No, no, nothing of the kind.”  Alastor chuckled.  “I’ll seduce you, of course.”

The coast was clear, so he slipped out and headed down the hall to the kitchen.  It was clean and fully stocked, and exactly as Alastor’s kitchen had been arranged when they were still friends.

He was even making coffee the same way.

“For fuck’s sake, Al,” he muttered.  “Would it kill you to get a fucking Keurig?”

Fucking damned syphon.  The contraption was a beautiful combination of glass and brass, and Vox had absolutely no idea how to use it.  There was still coffee in the carafe that he could pour for himself and heat up with his electricity, but that would be admitting defeat.

No, no, if Alastor was still cooking in essentially the same kitchen…  Vox started opening the cabinets above and below the stupid complicated coffee maker.  Sure enough, tucked in the back of the lower cabinet was a familiar carafe, one Vox had used many times over their years of friendship.

Vox resolutely did not think about the fact that Alastor had kept it after all this time.

Vox scowled at the coffee grinder; manual, of fucking course.  “Automation isn’t a bad thing, you fucking luddite,” he muttered.  Even so, he ground new beans for himself, heated some water, and got to brewing.

Vox reopened the upper cabinet to pick out a mug, surprised to find one he recognized.  He held it delicately, turning it over in his hands.  The same light blue, the same bold font in red.  Don’t talk to me after I’ve had my coffee either.

Alastor had been laughing when he presented it to Vox.  If you keep falling asleep here, you may as well have your own mug here, too.  Isn’t it perfect?  I thought of you the very moment I saw it.

Vox had been embarrassed, flustered that Alastor had thought of him, that Alastor didn’t mind him sleeping on his couch after they stayed up all night drinking and dancing.

I don’t mind when you talk to me before I’ve had my coffee, Vox had pointed out.

Of course not, darling.  I’m not people.  He’d grinned then and filled his cup.  Come now, don’t let it go to waste!

Have you ever considered like a patreon or something? For your writing? Early access, longer sneak peaks, that sort of thing? I would sub in a heartbeat, which is why I'm asking.

So I have considered it, and I actually started setting one up at one point, but I kind of came to realize that monetizing my hobbies makes them feel too much like work? And the more like work something feels, the less I want to do it XD

Also, as I’m sure you’ve noticed, I’m terrible at keeping people up to date on what I’m working on, and that’s unlikely to change any time soon, which would make running the patreon a problem XD

Valentino was behind a podium, rattling off increasingly large numbers with an auctioneer’s flare.  Vox looked out into the crowd, feelings and thoughts mostly locked down behind how much of Valentino’s venom he’d been made to swallow.  To take the edge off, he’d said.

Velvette had been no help.  You’ll be all right, Vee.  If you aren’t being shown to take a punishment, your approval rating will never recover.  You know that.  I read the contract, and they can’t do any permanent damage, all right?

It wasn’t, but he’d been fucking outvoted.

The crowd were all randoms, too.  It was obvious they were proxies bidding on behalf of overlords, but aside from the obvious cannibal in the crowd, it was anyone’s guess who was representing who.  Vox thought he recognized one of Zeezi’s goons, but he couldn’t be sure.

Fuck.  This was really happening.

And for what?  Punishment, yeah, but if that was all, Valentino could do that shit in house.  This was… something else.  And now Vox had to, what, suck it up?  Let some overlord out there pay for the privilege of one full night, dusk to dawn, to do anything they wanted to him?

When he regained his power—and he fucking would—Valentino was a dead man.

Not that that helped him now.

He couldn’t even defend himself.  His power levels were so low, he probably couldn’t even hypnotize Angel anymore.  He could summon a single wire or two, but they weren’t strong, and his electricity was little better than a static shock.

This might not kill him, but the humiliation and degradation—maybe he’d kill himself afterward.  See how they liked that.

And to add insult to injury, the poorer overlords were getting a potential boost to their funds from fucking Val—if they recorded or let Val record his whole fucking evening and publish it, he’d take a generous chunk off the auction price.

Fucking bastard.

Vox was seriously going to kill him for this.

WIP WEDNESDAY (part two)

Without further ado, a selection from the second winner of the poll, Hypno AU!

“Well, to put it simply, I believe your hypnosis may need repetition to really stick.  And before that, you’ll need to be much slower about how and when you apply it, you see?  Hypnosis takes time and skill.  In truth, it’s not unlike a well-planned seduction.”

Vox swallowed wrong and coughed.  “S-Seduction?”

“You do know how to seduce someone, don’t you?” Alastor asked, perpetual smile turning to something unbearably smug.  And now he was thinking of Alastor seducing people.  Fuck.

“O-O-Of course I know how!  I was very popular when I was alive, I’ll have you know,” Vox blustered.

Alastor laughed.  “Oh, I’m sure, sweetheart.”  He patted his back lightly.  “Now, you’re in luck!  I happened to look into hypnosis during my living radio days!  There was a bit of a spirtualism craze, you know, and I found myself curious!  I watched a man hypnotize a young lady at a party, and I interviewed him about it after the fact.  He was quite informative, especially after he realized my, shall we say, lack of interest in young ladies.”

Vox blinked.  “He thought you were—that you preferred—uh, that you…?”

“Yes, Vox,” Alastor drawled, tone lazy and unconcerned despite the subject matter, “the man assumed I was as gay as he was, the poor dear.  I did break his heart, I’m afraid, but he left with his life, I assure you.  Very friendly and professional.  He’d have been a waste to kill,” he chattered on lightly.

“So you—you know enough to hypnotize someone else?” Vox asked instead of the far more important question:  You don’t like women, but you aren’t gay—but do you… could you ever like me?

“Certainly!”  Alastor clapped.  “It was quite simple.  It’s all about rhythms, you see, and patterns.”  He waved his finger back and forth.  “You want to lure your victim into a state of relaxation until they drop their guard entirely.  Once done, you may begin your work, though even that takes time and repetition.  Let me demonstrate.”

Alastor snapped his fingers and summoned some thrall or other.  “Sit down there for me,” he commanded.  “This will only take a moment, and it won’t hurt.”

The thrall sat down obediently.  “Uh, Mr. Radio Demon, sir, what’s this about?  Am I in trouble?”

“Not at all, my good man, you’re merely to be a learning opportunity for my friend here.”  Alastor’s expression gentled, a strange calm settling over him in stark contrast to his usual mania.

“Now, Vox, pay attention.  To begin, you’ll want a focal point.  Since I don’t have that clever eye of yours, I’ll use my watch.”  He drew it out of his pocket and let the chain slide through his fingers with a quiet clink, letting it dangle loosely from his fingertips.  “A watch makes for a good focal point, because it reminds one of time, and maybe you can even hear that steady tick in the back of your mind as it sways in rhythm.”

“All I need you to do,” Alastor intoned gently, “is keep your eyes on my watch.  Yes, just like that.”  His voice was so sweet, so easy.  No wonder he was such a popular radio host.

Vox had named himself Voice, but the real voice was Alastor.  Quiet but still commanding, powerful.  He could listen to him talk for hours, hours counted out in seconds, tick-tick-ticking away on a gently swaying watch.

It caught the light, too, he realized, firelight catching on the metal and flashing at regular intervals.  Vox’s eyelids drooped with effort as the watch swayed back and forth.  Alastor said to keep his eyes on it, so he should…  He should keep looking at it…

“That’s it, I know your eyes must be getting quite tired now, but it will feel much better if you keep them open just a little more, only a little longer for me.  That’s it,” Alastor praised.  “Well done.  A state of hypnosis is only a state of pure relaxation, a moment of true rest, where your thoughts go quiet and your body goes loose.  It’s easy, and it feels so good.  And a skilled subject like you, I’m sure you’ll be able to reach that state without any problem; you’ll be able to drop into that state for me, won’t you?”

Vox nodded, unthinking.  For Alastor, he could do anything.  His head began to droop, even as his eyes kept staring at the watch.  Back and forth, back and forth, each pass making his head heavier, his eyes more tired, his mind more relaxed, edging closer and closer and closer, until:

“Drop.”

Vox fell limp, head falling to his chest and eyes closing.  His breathing matched the rhythm of the watch, something he could still see, even with his eyes closed.

“That’s right.  It’s so firm in your memory, you can see it even now.  In fact, you’ll never forget the motion of the watch.  It will lull you back to this state even easier next time.  Every time will get easier and easier until it takes no effort at all, until you need only think of the watch to return to this state for me.”  Alastor’s voice drifted in and out of Vox’s mind, filling the empty spaces in his head with his melodious voice.

“Open your eyes,” Alastor urged—Vox obeyed—and there was the watch again, right in front of him now, swinging at the same mesmerizing pace.  “Go ahead and let yourself come up, but don’t take your eyes off the watch.  Can you feel how easily it draws you back down for me?”

Vox nodded mutely.  Had the watch been in front of him before?  Hadn’t they been… doing something…?

WIP WEDNESDAY!

As the winners of my earlier poll were a tie, I’ll be posting selections from both pretty shortly here. (Just have to decide which snippets to post!)

First up is a little bit of the BDSM AU! This scene is from pretty early in, but I hope you guys’ll get a feel for it haha It takes place just after Stayed Gone! Enjoy!

Vox hopped out a little ways away from the front gate, eyeing the hill to the hotel.  The blinking light atop the radio tower promised… something, though whether it be sanctuary or hostility, he couldn’t begin to guess.

“I wondered if you might show up,” Alastor murmured.  Vox startled, flailing forward and struggling to turn at the same time.  Alastor’s smile was smug.  “And here you are.”

The longer he looked, the more strain Vox could see, in Alastor’s eyes, his smile, not to mention his hands where they gripped his microphone much too tightly.  “You feel it too?” he asked.

Alastor’s nose wrinkled.  “Let’s discuss this more privately, shall we?”  A portal opened to the side of them, and Alastor offered an arm.

Vox took it with a growing sense of relief.  Just being near Alastor was enough to stave off the worst of the symptoms, his headache beginning to ease through nothing more than proximity.

Alastor led them through the portal and into his radio tower.  When he tried to remove his arm, Vox tightened his grip, panic seizing his throat.

“I’m not going anywhere,” Alastor assured him, voice low, but he stopped trying to pull away.  “Why don’t we have a seat,” he suggested.

Vox followed him, clinging to his arm even as they sat side by side on the studio’s loveseat, pressed together from shoulder to hip to knee.  “I don’t know why it wasn’t enough this time,” Vox admitted, apologetic, as if it was his own fault.

“My absence, probably,” Alastor said with a sigh.  “I’d hoped you wouldn’t be affected, but it seems we were both impacted by it.”

“So you do feel it?”

Alastor shot him a rueful grin.  “Oh, certainly.  I’ve been trying to catch your attention all week, my dear.  Luckily there were a few truly pathetic sinners to take my ire out on, but they don’t compare.”

“No,” Vox murmured, thinking of his own dalliances with Valentino.  “They never do.”

“Well, if humiliation isn’t enough for either of us this time, what are we to do?” Alastor asked.  “What have you been doing while I’ve been away?”

“Are you sure you want me to talk about subbing for someone that isn’t you?” Vox asked, doubtful.  “Your jealous streak hasn’t had anything to really sink its teeth into for quite a while.”

Alastor’s hand tightened against the crook of Vox’s arm.  “You make a good point.  Don’t tell me the details, but do tell me what you’ve enjoyed more generally.”

Vox shook his head.  “I honestly couldn’t say.  I was phoning it in.  Whatever was fine as long as it got me down.  I didn’t really…”  He winced, his next words pulled from his mouth without so much as a by-your-leave.  “I was too busy wishing it was you.”

Alastor let out a quiet breath; Vox nearly moaned.  “Right, then.  On your knees.”

Vox moved without thought, dropping from the loveseat with a shiver and a quiet whimper.  He looked up at Alastor, desperate for further instructions.  Anything.

For Alastor, he would do anything.

It had been so long since Alastor bossed him around, since he was allowed to kneel at Alastor’s feet.  How long had it been since he’d really submitted to him and not just let Alastor humiliate him in battle?

“Good boy,” Alastor said lowly.  “I did miss how expressive you are.  I went back to killing people to scratch the itch while I was gone, but it wasn’t the same.  Not even close.”

Vox slumped into Alastor’s leg with a moan, eyes fluttering shut.  “Please, sir.”  The honorific slipped off his tongue as though he’d last used it yesterday and not decades ago now.

“Please what, Vox?”

“I don’t know,” Vox forced out.  “Fuck, anything.  You could fucking kill me right now, and I’d thank you as long as you used your hands.”  He bit down on his lip to try to stem the flow of words.

Alastor hummed, tracing a claw across Vox’s bared throat.  “Do not tempt me, darling.  You have no idea how often I’ve wondered what your insides look like.”

Vox wrapped an arm around one leg.  “It’s true.  I’d carve myself open to feed you my fucking heart.”  The words poured out of him, terrifyingly honest and unfiltered.

“I don’t have anything else handy…”  Alastor pressed two gloved fingers against his lips.  “Here.  Quiet, before you say something you’ll really regret.”  When Vox opened up, his fingers pressed inside, stroking his tongue.

Vox sucked gratefully, letting the fingers keep his mouth occupied, his thoughts finally slowing to a crawl.  He let his eyes shut.  This might be enough, he realized.  Kneeling for Alastor, sucking on the supple leather around his fingers.

Alastor wanted him right here, quiet and kneeling, just like this.

I just saw your poll for wip Wednesday (and voted!) and I was excited to see all the options to vote for but BDSM AU???? Sold, voted, deal sealed!! Lol as someone who is also queer ace and planning a bdsm club au for radiostatic I am BEYOND HYPE for whatever that wip turns out to be!!! :D

I posted a little explainer anout the AU a month or two ago: “bdsm dynamics (one of those ‘like omegaverse but just straight up BDSM’ so everyone is Required to do scenes and stuff for the health and wellbeing of their soul, like going without can kill you or whatever)”

^This is more or less the direction I’m going with it! But it does use like grounded scenes and stuff XD I need to decide how I want to the bonds between Doms and subs to work also, but we’ll deal with that later lol

Also: BDSM club AU!!! That sounds super fun! Are they in Hell or is this Murdermedia? (Because the idea of Alastor getting involved in a BDSM club in Hell is VERY fun and I am Interested haha)
