“Are you kidding.” Alaska screamed out as she held her shirt off her body. “It’s whatever. I’ll live.”

rachel took a step back at the others reaction, though she wasnt surprised, it was to be expected. “I’m so sorry, I probably just ruined your day.”

Hope did her best to breath as she hot liquid dripping on her. “It’s fine.. I’ll live.” She breathed out now as she looked to the woman. “Are you. Okay I mean.”

“Oh yeah, I’m okay, it just spilled on my hands. I hope I didn’t ruin your outfit?” She said, looking at the other with concern.

Mikael had tried to take a step back to avoid the scalding coffee. Thankfully it mostly hit fabric but still felt hot against his skin. "It’s okay,“ he said looking up to the person that he had just bumped into. "I’m alright. It’s just coffee.” He was only saying that because he had avoided being burned.

“Are you sure? Sometimes they make it extra hot here. I just want to make sure you weren’t burned. I’m really sorry.”

“I have plenty of clothes and trust me, these will just need a quick wash to get rid of the coffee. Always got a good supply of clothing that isn’t fancy. Love a good old sweatpant.” Maddie chuckled. “I’m perfectly fine.”

“Sweats are definitely the most comfortable clothing. If only it were publicly acceptable to wear sweats all the time, I would. I’m glad you’re alright though.”

Emmy laughed, “"It’s very weird.” She frowned, tilting her head to the side. “They’re good. It’s my most favorite thing in the world. I love fries with chili on them. But gravy is better m'dude.” She grinned, nodding her head, “Yes of course I do. I don’t mind at all. I promise, cooking is my happy place. You probably do but I can buy those for you, it’s not a big deal.” She said with a chuckle then scrunched up her nose, “I don’t blame you. Beets are gross.” Emmy grinned, pulling out her phone and bringing up her pictures with Jake and showing them to her. She smiled, nodding her head. “Yeah. I love all my cousins but she’s the one I’d do anything for.”

Rachel smiled, shrugging her shoulders. “Well I’m off to a great start then, I’m already weird.” She joked. She laughed when Emmy called her dude, not used to being called that by anyone, a remind of just how big their age difference was. “We should have some sometime then. Heck we could even go buy the stuff to make them? Or is there someplace that sells it?” She asked raising a brow. Rachel leaned closer to look at the pictures on her phone, a genuine smile on her features. “You guys are cute. Does she like him?” She aked, pulling her knees up to her chest, as she tried to learn more about her sisters life. She was greatful that Emmy hadn’t had to grow up with their mother.

Jake had never been much of a morning person, even when he was human, and it seemed to be magnifying as time went on. Except now, he had the excuse of time at the theatre to use even if it wasn’t always the truth. Caffeine didn’t do much for him, but it was nice to pretend. Inhaling sharply through his teeth, Jake instinctively jumped backwards at the impact. “Jacket’s a little warm now, but other than that I’m alright.” He responded after a moment, shrugging off the article in question. “You okay?”

“Oh I’m fine. Nothing the hand dryer at work cant help hide. Are you sure the jackets alright though? It looks nice. I could pay for the dry cleaning if you need.” She said, shrugging her shoulders. Rachel was the type of person to own up to her own mistakes and she hadn’t meant to interupt his day.

Bonnie went to dry the liquid off of her shirt with her magic, but remembered at the last second that she didn’t have magic right now. It was something she forgot at times when she wasn’t using her magic lately. She instead dropped her hand and grabbed the napkins from her. “It’s fine. It’s like I’m in a hot tub,” she joked a bit, patting at the spot on her shirt.”

“Like being in a hot tub? I guess thats quite a positive way to put it. Though I think a hot tub would certainly be better that my coffee.” She said, moving to wipe up what had spilled on the floor. “I’ve heard you can use vinegar to get out coffee stains, but I’d be more than happy to pay for a new shirt.”

Emmy raised an eyebrow, “Cereal? Is your guilty pleasure food? Mine is french fries with gravy and cheese.” She said, shrugging her shoulders. At Rachel’s offer she quickly shook her head, “No, no. It’s fine. I don’t mind at all. Cooking is my happy place, especially when I’m stressed. Just like..give me a key to your apartment or whatever and I’ll bring them over and put them in your freezer. You just gotta tell me what you like though.” She said, shrugging her shoulders. Emmy smiled when Rachel asked about her boyfriend. “Uh, yeah. His name is Jake Salvatore, he’s a little older than me and he’s an actor at the theatre. I have pictures on my phone. I take so many, it probably annoys him sometime.” She said, feeling her pockets for her phone. “They’re not as messy and they’re easy.” She grinned when Rachel said Harmony could come, “Oh, I know. Her and I have always been the closest though. There’s such a big gap between her and her siblings and then between me and my siblings, I’m the only girl so we just kind of latched onto each other. I’d like for you to be part of it though.”

“Yeah,is that weird? I wasn’t ever allowed to have sugary cereals when I was a kid, so now its one of my favorites.” She said with a shrug. “I’ve never had fries with gravy on them before. Although I have had fries with chili, and those were pretty damn good.” She raised her brow then, “Are you sure you would just want to do it for fun? I could definitely give you a key though, and you could even make it here if thats easier. I’d have to buys some pots and pans probably.” She said, letting out a laugh. “I like pretty much any food.I’m not a picky eater. Except for beets. Can’t stand those.” Rachel smiled as Emmy talked about her boyfriend, listening intently. She could tell by the way her sisters eye’s lit up that she was smitten with him. “Oh really, show me.” She said excitedly, leaning over to look at her phone. “Thats great that you have each other then. She’s like your best friend huh?”

Diana tried to move out of the way, but that didn’t work. She immediately pulled her wet shirt away from her body to keep from getting too burned. “It’s okay. Accidents happen. I probably would have done it to myself at some point today.”

“I just hope this isn’t like an omen for how my day is going to go.” Rachel said letting out a sigh. “I can’t believe I was so clumsy. I’m sorry again. Let me at least pay for a new shirt or the dry cleaning. I mean its the least I can do. “

Maddie had been standing in line waiting for her coffee when suddenly hot coffee spilled over her body. After the initial shock, she just brushed off the coffee and shook her head. “All good, it’s alright. I don’t think it’s that hot that it could burn me thankfully.” She smiled taking the napkins to wipe off the coffee.

“Well thank god for that, because I don’t know what I would have done if it had actually hurt you. I feel awful already.” She said, offering a small smile. “How about your clothes, are they ruined?”

Dean had been about to move out of the woman’s way, but he was apparently too slow and instead, she crashed into him, spilling the coffee all over him. Luckily, his jacket took most of the damage and kept him from getting burned. “I’ll live,” he said, wiping some of it off his uniform. “Maybe you should invest in one of those travel mugs that have a lid and stuff.”

She nodded her head, glad that it was his jacket that had taken the most of the damage. “Thats probably a good idea. It would probably help if I paid better attention too, instead of trying to do 2 things at once.” She reached into her bag pulling out her wallet, “Let me at least pay for the dry cleaning.”

waiting in line to get her coffee next, she wanted to say something as she noticed the other not paying attention but sadly it was already to late. “Hey, no it’s fine don’t worry about it we all are a little clumsy at times.” she said smiling as she took the napkin and used it.

“Are you sure you’re alright? How about your shirt, I didn’t ruin it did I?” She said, fumbling to grab some more napkins and soak up the mess on the floor as well. “I swear, I’m not usually this clumsy. Its just been one of those mornings.”

Rachel really was not paying attention as she took her coffee from the barista, leaving a tip in the jar. She was too focused on her phone and work things, that she didn’t even notice the person who was standing behind her. She had turned around to head back to work and instead, collided with the other, spilling the coffee all over herself and them. “Oh my god. I’m so sorry. Are you okay? It didn’t burn you did it?” She asked, grabbing some napkins off the counter and holding them out for them.

“Yeah, I’m sure. You’ve clearly already gotten him to shut up.” She said with a shrug. “Just don’t kill him.”

“I stress eat too! I eat all the time though, especially if it’s something sweet.” She grinned, nodding her head. She laughed, shaking her head. “I’ll happily cook for you. I’ll even make you weekly meals or whatever. I literally don’t have a life. I hang out with my cousin, go to work, go to school, bother my brother at work and hang out with my boyfriend. It’s a good life but anytime I get to cook, I’m happy.” She smiled, shrugging her shoulders. When Rachel sat down next to her, she perked up at the mention of sheet masks. “I love sheet masks. They’re probably my favorite. They’re simple.” She chewed her lower lip as a thought popped into her head, “Hey, if this goes ok and you’re not entirely sick of me when this is over, can we do this again and I invite my cousin, Harmony? I promised her that us hanging out wouldn’t make me put her on the back burner and I like keeping my promises to people and plus I think she’d really enjoy it.”

“Yeah, sweets can definitely be my kryptonite. I always keep something sweet in the fridge. Though honestly, my guilty pleasure food is cereal.” At emmys offer, her eyes opened wide. “You’d really be willing to do that? I could pay you for your time. I haven’t had a good home cooked meal in ages if I’m being honest.” She only ever had home cooked meals when she visted her parents and even then, the meals were prepared by a cook, not by her actual mother. “So you have a boyfriend, whats his name?” She asked, as she reached into the bag and pulled out some face wash wipes, handing the package to emmy after pulling one out for herself. “They seem the easiest. Or at least the least messy. The other ones you have to get all over your hands when you put it on your face.” She tilted her head as she listened, before nodding her head. “Yeah, of course. I don’t see any problem with that. And you know I’m also not trying to take you away from your family and your life either, I’d just like to be a part of it.”

Emmy nodded her head, “Uhh, yeah. I stress bake and I happen to stress eat sometimes.” She said, shrugging her shoulders. “Lots of take out can be bad for you. I strongly suggest not doing that. I’d..” Her voice trailed off. She didn’t want to seem like she was overly excited and immediately come across as annoying. As Rachel rattled off what she had, a smile grew across Emmy’s features. he nodded, setting her stuff on the floor and sat down on the couch, pulling her knees up to her chest, a nervous habit she had. “Are they the sheet masks?” She asked, resting her chin on top of her knees.“

Rachel let out a small laugh, nodding her head. “I don’t stress bake, but I have been known to stress eat sometimes too.” She shrugged her shoulders then, her brows scrunching as Emmy’s voice trailed off, “Yeah, you make a fair point, I know its not very good for me. Somehow I think burnt food probably isn’t that good for you in the long run either, maybe I should invest in a cooking class or something. Know any good cooks who can help someone hopeless?” She said with a smile, as she moved to grab the bag off the counter, “there’s sheet masks, and some weird foaming one? I just got what the sales lady suggested so I hope they work well.” She said, sitting down on the couch, next to Emmy.

“He’ll never know it even happened. I’ll even heal him, it’ll be fine. I’ll put up a barrier spell after you leave if it’ll make you feel better.” He offered with a smirk.

Rachel let out a sigh, rolling her eyes. “I sure hope he doesn’t remember then. I don’t want to see him trying to press charges or something.” The woman knew of course there wasn’t really anything she could do. She was no match for a vampire.
