This was your first official Holiday season as a Kiszka. You and Josh had gotten married this spring and moved into a new home together in Nashville, not far from his brothers. You never had a big family growing up, and you were excited to marry into such a large close-knit group. You had been looking forward to spending Christmas with Josh’s family up North in Michigan. A real family Christmas, maybe even some snow. Karen had immediately made you feel welcomed, presenting you with your own stocking matching the ones she had made the Kiszka siblings when they were younger. You got the whole experience. Matching Christmas pajamas by the fire. Snowball fights in the backyard during the snowstorm that hit between Christmas and New Years (you and Ronnie had made a killer team and totally beat the boys though they wouldn’t admit it). Watching as the boys exchanged the thoughtful gifts they got for each other, and the way they spoiled Karen with expensive gifts she swore she didn't need. Watching the ball drop from the comfort of their home on new years eve, cuddled up on the couch with Josh in your sweatpants and an old t-shirt of his from a high school theater production. You loved your new family and your new life. You loved your husband.
And yet, when you and Josh arrived home in Nashville, things shifted. Your mood was off. The house felt cold and empty. You were lonely when Josh left for rehearsals and studio time. The thought began deep in your mind, you weren't even sure if you had admitted it to yourself yet. The cure to the emptiness you had been feeling, was to start a little family of your own.
The more you thought about it the more you wanted it. The thought of Josh with a child. Your child. Having a baby around next Christmas, bringing the first Kiszka grandchild home. Watching Josh’s face light up as he introduces his family to your baby, smiling down at the little bundle of joy in his arms. All of the cute teeny tiny clothes you could buy. The baby blankets and binkies. The way you already knew Josh would worship your pregnant body, placing gentle kisses on your stomach every chance he got.
You wanted to have a baby. You wanted to carry Josh’s baby.
But what if he wasn’t ready? You know of course that Josh wants to have children, someday. Someday being the operative word. You’d talked about it before, discussing potential names, the sports they might play, how many you'd like, the possibility of having twins. But with his career, the way the band was taking off, upcoming tours. It might not be the best time. But you wanted it nonetheless.
A few weeks into the new year you decided to talk to Josh about it. He had noticed the change in your behavior and had been trying his best to cheer you up. Texting you more throughout the day, coming home with flowers and your favorite snacks in tow, sitting through a half a million rom coms you knew he'd rather not watch. You didn’t want him to think that your mood was his fault.
You sat in your living room waiting for Josh to come home from the studio. You were having a glass of wine and watching some reality TV to try and relax. It was just Josh after all. Your husband. For all you knew he wanted this just as badly.
You must have fallen asleep on the couch, waking up to the sound of the door opening.
“Y/N! I’m home!” he called to you from the kitchen.
“In here” you replied, your voice still a little groggy from your nap.
Josh appeared in the living room, a concerned frown tugging at the corners of his mouth as he looked you over.
“Did I wake you? Are you feeling okay?” He leaned over the arm of the couch, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead.
“Josh I’m fine” you tried to laugh it off, but it still came out a little snippier than intended. You were on edge and Josh could tell, he just wasn’t sure why.
Josh took a seat next to you on the couch, pulling your feet up into his lap. He looked at you gently, like he wanted to say something, but wasn’t sure how you’d react.
“Can I- can we talk about something?” you looked down as you spoke, pulling at the threads of the throw blanket in your lap.
“Of course we can,” Josh leaned over, guiding you up by your chin to meet his gaze. “What's going on sweet girl?”
You swallowed, choosing your words carefully before you began to speak.
“I think you've noticed that I've been a little… off since we came home from Michigan,” Josh nodded in acknowledgement. “And at first, I didn’t really know why, or maybe I was scared? I just, I’m not sure how you're going to react, or if its the right time for us, I know the place your career is in and I’d never want to make that hard for you but-”
“Y/N,” Josh interrupted your rambling softly with a small smile on his face. “Are you trying to tell me that you're pregnant?”
“No! Oh no that's not what I-” Josh tried to keep his expression neutral but you noticed his face fall. He was disappointed. He wanted you to be pregnant. “Josh,” you reached for his hand, continuing, “I’m not pregnant, but I think I’d like to be.”
Josh’s eyes lit up, and his lips were on yours within seconds. You could feel him smiling into the kiss and your heart soared.
“A baby? You want to have a baby? My baby?”
“Yeah, I think I do,” You bit your lip, a slight blush rising in your cheeks. “Just after the holidays with your family, I remembered how it was always my dream to have a big family, and the house just started to feel lonely. And thinking about you with our baby, I just can’t get the image out of my mind. I can see it Josh, I can see their little hand wrapped around your finger, I can hear you singing them to sleep. I want it Josh. I want this with you.”
Josh smiled, placing his hands on your belly.
“Well,” he said, his hands drifting lower to the waistband of your pants, toying with it. “Let’s make you a mama then.” He pulled your sweatpants down in one fluid motion, making your breath catch in your throat.
It was then that you noticed how impossibly hard Josh was, straining against his pants. Not only did he want you to have his baby, he was into it. You palmed him through his khakis, meeting his gaze.
“You like this huh? Like the idea of making me pregnant?”
Josh groaned, raising his hips to meet your touch
“You have no idea how many times I've thought about this. Finishing deep inside of you, fucking my cum back into you so we dont waste a drop.” His voice faltered as you undid his pants, freeing him from his boxers. “Ffuuuuckk'' he breathed out as you wrapped your hand around him, stroking him softly.
You ran your hand up and down his length, twisting slightly over the head of his cock already slick with precum. You felt him twitch and throb under your touch, sending a surge of wetness between your legs.
“I want you to fuck me, Josh. I want you to put a baby in me. Wanna make you a daddy.”
A deep growl fell from Josh’s lips at the latter part of your sentence.
“Fucking say that again” He demanded, throwing his head back as you continued to stroke him in your hand.
“I’m gonna make you a daddy. Gonna carry your baby, right here.” You placed your other hand over your stomach as Josh watched through heavy eyelids. He sat up, pushing you flat on your back on the couch and taking back control of the situation.
“That’s right mama, I’m gonna fuck you so hard, so deep, that I put a baby right in that beautiful stomach of yours.” His eyes darkened with lust, pupils blown out as he reached to pull your shirt over your head, wasting no time in attaching his mouth to your stomach. He sucked and nipped on the sensitive skin, placing gentle kisses and licks over the marks he left behind.
You were becoming impatient, your need to feel josh inside you, filling you up, growing with each passing moment. You shifted your hips, a whine escaping your lips.
“Please, Please Josh, I need you to fuck me, I want you inside, want to feel full.”
Josh quieted you with a scolding click of his tongue.
“Gotta take care of you first mama, wanna make you feel good. If my sweet girl is gonna carry my baby for me, she's going to get everything she deserves.” Josh picked you up bridal style, one arm supporting your back, the other under your knees. You giggled as he dramatically carried you to your shared bedroom, making a show of laying you out on your bed. His fingers slid under the waistband of your panties, you nodded your permission for him to slide them down your legs, fully exposing your dripping wet core to him.
Josh experimentally dragged one finger through you, collecting your wetness with a look of pure adoration on his face. “My my my, look at you. So excited to be a mama, so ready to be filled up with my cock and my cum, your pretty little pussy is practically begging to be fucked.”
You bucked your hips at his touch, impatiently waiting for him to give you what you needed. Josh met your eyes, sliding one finger into you. He watched your face twist in pleasure, taking in the view as you gasped and begged for more. He slid a second finger into you, and then a third. He slid in and out of you relentlessly, his fingers curling into you expertly. He knew your body well, exactly where to touch you to make you come undone beneath him. You could feel your orgasm building quickly, stealing the air from your lungs as you braced yourself.
“Relax, breathe.” Josh commanded gently, and you audibly exhaled.
Knowing how close you were, Josh lowered his mouth to your center. His tongue danced around your clit as his fingers continued to work into you. You threw your head back, your legs shaking around his body as your orgasm began to wash over you. The room was filled with the sounds of your own gasps and moans and the slick sounds of Josh's fingers as they continued to slide in and out of you, carrying you through your orgasm.
You momentarily recovered, relaxing back onto the pillows as Josh knelt before you. His hard cock throbbed, waiting for attention. You sat up, reaching for it, but Josh shook his head.
“M’not gonna last that long mama. Can’t waste a drop of cum in that pretty mouth of yours if I’m gonna put a baby in you”
You laid back for him once more, spreading your legs apart and waiting for him to fill you. Josh ran his erection through your folds a few times, causing his breathing to falter as he felt your warm slick coating him. He pushed into you slowly, a gasp falling from his lips. As he bottomed out, deep inside of you, you looked up at him through your lashes,
“Put a baby in me, Josh.”
He began thrusting into you harder and faster, holding your hips down to drive himself further into you. You wrapped your legs around his torso, pulling him in closer and holding him there. It didn't take long for his breathing to quicken, his pace becoming erratic. He was close already, and you couldn’t wait for him to fill you up.
“Let go for me, fill me up. I want to feel you deep inside me Josh” you encouraged him to reach the finish line, fingers trailing up and down along his back.
With one final thrust, Josh spilled into you. Your legs, still wrapped around his torso, held him in place buried deep inside of you. You could feel his warm release as it coated your walls, filling you up completely.
He pulled out of you with a gasp, sitting back to watch as he began to pour out of you. You watched as he experimentally ran one finger through his own release, fucking it back into you. You stifled a moan at the feeling, causing him to look up at you.
“You like that?” He breathed at almost a whisper, continuing to fuck himself back into you.
You nodded quickly, feeling like the sight alone could drive you right to the edge of your second orgasm, which was already building within you.
“Please don’t stop” you whined, prompting Josh to add another finger. His free hand traced circles over your bare stomach, looking at you with a sense of wonder and adoration. You came hard, clenching around his fingers as he stilled his motions inside of you.
Josh laid down beside you, and you rested your head on his shoulder, allowing him to hold you. His fingers still traced lightly over your stomach, and you hummed in contentment.
“Do you think…do you think I put a baby in there?”
“I don’t know, Josh. Maybe.” a small smile formed on your lips at the thought.
“Well when will we know? Can we take a pregnancy test?”
You laughed a bit at his eagerness, pressing a gentle kiss to his lips.
“It'll be a few weeks before we can tell with a pregnancy test, but that doesn't mean we can’t keep trying. You know, for good measure.”
Josh’s face broke out into a devilish grin at this, flipping back on top of you.
You take Jake up to your family cabin for Christmas and he offers to read to you.

You loved spending Christmas at your family cabin on the lake. You had been going every year since you could remember. The small town of Kewadin, Michigan sat just about as far north as you could get in the lower peninsula, about an hour outside of the nearest city. The town was small and quiet in the summer, but in the winter it was downright deserted. Very few of its residents lived here year round, with the majority of houses being summer homes on Lake Michigan. One year when you were young your family decided it would be interesting to see what it was like in the winter. Snow on the ground, the bay practically freezing over on the coldest days, a fire roaring in the fireplace, card games all day, skiing in Boyne City. This was how you spent your winter breaks. You and your family in your own little world.
This year would be different though. This year was the first year you were taking your boyfriend Jake to your family Christmas. You weren't sure why you were nervous. You knew Jake liked your family and they liked him. He would fit in just fine. But it would be a change from your usual traditions.
The two of you were flying out earlier than the rest of your family, so you would have a few days to yourself in the cabin. You flew through the Detroit airport and picked up a rental car, stopping to see his family in Frankenmuth before making the rest of the 4 hour drive up to Kewadin. You offered to drive, knowing the backroads closer to the cabin might get confusing, but Jake insisted. Against your better judgement, you fell asleep. You woke up several hours later as Jake gently shook you, the car pulled over on the side of route 31.
“Okay, so I may have gotten a little lost” Jake looked at you with a sheepish smile.
You shook your head, smiling, and took a look around, trying to figure out how far away you were. You noticed the sign for the maple syrup farm to your left, cluing you in to the fact that you hadn’t passed the turnoff onto Quarterline just yet.
“I'll take over now, we’re close, but these next few turns are easy to miss.”
Before long you were pulling into the frozen gravel driveway of 4398 Juniper Drive. You were greeted with the same faded red paint on the one story house. The screen door screeched open as you and Jake pushed through with your bags. You grabbed the spare key from the hook hidden on the back of the porch chair, unlocking the front door. You showed Jake around the cabin. The small kitchen without a dishwasher, the big dining table that was often covered in puzzles, the path down to the lake. He took it all in, listening to you recount stories of years past. He paused in the hallway, looking at all of your family photos along the wall.
“Is this you?” He laughed, pointing to the worst picture of you in existence. You were 11 years old, wearing your headgear and a nightgown. This was in fact the only picture to exist of you wearing headgear, and had made the family photo wall as more of a joke than anything else.
“Oh my god, don’t look at that!” you laughed covering the picture with both hands.
“Oh no, let me see!” Jake tried to move your hands, a shit eating grin on his face. When you wouldn't budge, he reached his hands down to your sides, tickling you mercilessly. You squealed, writhing under his touch and immediately moving your hands in hopes of stopping him.
“Aww look at you,” Jake smiled, now able to see the full picture “Adorable as ever.”
“You don’t play fair!” you pouted, leaning back into his chest. His hands now rested comfortably around your waist. He leaned in, pressing a kiss to your temple, gently swaying you side to side.
“So, why don’t you go give me a tour of the bedroom?” Jake spun you around to face him, pulling you in for a kiss. You pulled away, placing your hand on his chest. You could feel his heartbeat picking up at your touch.
“As much as I would love to explore the adventure that is sex in a bunk bed, we need to go grocery shopping.”
************************************
The nearest grocery store was a small market about 20 minutes outside of town. You had considered not even bringing Jake with you because you knew exactly what you needed from the store and where to find it, but you knew he’d have nothing to do at the cabin without you, and you enjoyed his company even if he did slow you down.
You loaded the paper grocery bags into the trunk of the rental car as light snow fell around you. You could hear the faint sound of the Christmas radio station playing in the store as customers filed in and out.
“So what now?” Jake asked as you climbed into the driver’s seat, turning the heat on high as you rubbed your cold hands together.
“Well, usually at this point my family would pick up a pizza from the place next door and decorate the house for Christmas…” You trailed off, a slight twinge of sadness in your voice.
“But you want to wait for them to decorate the house, yeah?” Jake gave you a soft smile, placing his hand over yours on the center console. “Well, why don’t we pick up a pizza, just us. We’ll go back and light a fire, and do something else to get us in the Christmas spirit?”
You grinned, nodding.
After a short wait, you were on the way home with your pizza and your groceries. Jake had hooked his phone up to the car and was playing Christmas music, singing along wholeheartedly. You watched him out of the corner of your eye as you drove, your smile never leaving your face.
When you made it back to the cabin you quickly unloaded the groceries, putting away the things that needed to be kept cold. You and Jake were starving and you were ready to dig into that pizza. You opened the cupboard taking out two plates and two glasses, popping open the bottle of wine you had just bought.
Jake cringed, shaking his head as he watched you plop a few ice cubes into your glass, “Y/N you’re lucky I love you because under any other circumstances that would be a dealbreaker.”
“Hey! I like my wine cold, and seeing as we just bought this bottle,” You paused, holding the bottle up to his eye level, “It’s room temperature.. Yuck” you made a face, sticking out your tongue. Jake simply laughed in response.
You handed him his glass and a plate of pizza, taking your usual seat at the dining table. The sun had long since set, and it was pitch black outside, devoid even of stars in the snowy winter sky. But it was warm and comfortable in the cabin. Jake’s hand rested on your thigh beneath the table, his thumb tracing small circles against you. You met his eyes, taking a sip of your wine. Neither one of you said a word. Just finished your meal enjoying each other’s company.
Jake offered to get the fire started while you did the dishes. When you returned to the living room, he had a strong fire burning. He had found a few candles around the room and lit them as well. The blankets and pillows from the couch had been made into a little fort on the floor in front of the fireplace. Jake sat on one of the blankets, holding a worn copy of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol.
“I promised we could do something to get us in the Christmas spirit, and I saw this on the bookshelf earlier,” he said, gesturing to the book, “Come sit with me, I’ll read it to you.”
“Jake,” you whispered, a soft smile forming on your lips “You didn’t have to”
“Come here darling” Jake patted the spot next to him on the blanket. You curled up next to him, placing your head in his lap.
Jake began reading, running his fingers through your hair absentmindedly as he went.
“One Christmas Eve, Scrooge, an old man, still sat busy in his office. The weather was cold, and he could hear the people in the street outside beating their hands upon their breasts and stamping their feet upon the pavement to keep warm. ‘A merry Christmas, Uncle ! ' cried a cheerful voice. It was Scrooge's nephew. ‘Bah ! ‘ said Scrooge. ‘Humbug!’ “
Jake had never read to you like this before, but it was nice. Intimate. His voice had a slight rasp to it, and you found it relaxing, although it also made your heart flutter. He made up little voices for each of the characters, occasionally peering down to gauge your reaction.
You stayed this way for a long time, as the fire began to die out in front of you. Jake never moved, never complained or shifted beneath you, just kept reading with your head in his lap, offering the occasional touch or squeeze to remind you he was thinking of you as he read.
As he reached the end of the chapter you sat up, stretching. Jake put the book in his lap, eyeing you up and down.
“You look beautiful, Y/N.”
“I look disheveled and half asleep” you shook your head, tucking your hair behind your ears.
Jake however, Jake looked beautiful like this. The now low burning firelight danced across his skin giving him a soft orange glow. You leaned in and kissed him, softly, just barely dancing your tongue across his. He pulled you in closer, kissing you again, his hand finding its way into your hair.
“Y/N?”
“Yeah?” your faces rested millimeters from each other, foreheads pressed together.
“I think you should give me that tour of the bedroom now”
*****************************
You lay naked in the bottom bunk of your childhood room in the cabin, your legs spread for Jake. He had made short work of your clothes, hungrily pushing you down onto the mattress. He was bent over in the cramped space, unable to sit up fully. His left hand rested on your inner thigh, keeping you on display for him. With his right hand, he teased your entrance with one finger, making slow languid circles through your wetness avoiding where you wanted to be touched most. A frustrated moan escaped your lips as Jake just barely brushed over your clit.
“Impatient are we?” Jake teased, stopping his motions entirely.
You wiggled your hips, pouting.
“Please, Jake. Please!”
“Please what darling?”
“Please touch me”
Jake met your eyes as he plunged two fingers into you without warning, drawing a strangled cry from your lips.
“Fuck, Jake!”
His skilled fingers curled into you mercilessly, hitting you at just the right spot over and over again. Before long, you couldn’t focus on anything except Jake's hand between your legs, your thoughts scrambled as a string of profanities fell from your open mouth. You wished you could keep your eyes open in these moments to watch Jake, sweat beading on his forehead, mouth hung open, looking down at you, focused; but your eyes were screwed shut with pleasure.
Your legs began to shake as your orgasm began to build in earnest, fighting against Jake’s hold on your thigh, keeping your legs open.
“You can take it darling, come on, show me how good you are for me and cum all over these fingers”
Jake had no sooner finished his thought than you were clenching furiously around his fingers, your orgasm crashing into you at full speed. Your mouth hung open, wordlessly, unable to process the intense feeling.
Jake watched in awe as you came down from your high, licking his fingers clean from your wetness. He rose from the bed, undressing himself slowly. His throbbing erection springing free of his boxers, curving up onto his stomach. He stroked himself with his hand a few times, just watching you.
“Be careful” you cautioned as he positioned himself over you, fearing that he would hit his head on the low hanging bunk bed.
“Hmm, actually I have a better idea. '' He positioned himself on his side lying behind you, pulling your naked body against his. You could feel the warmth of his bare skin against yours, lighting your skin ablaze with need and anticipation. You felt Jake’s hand slide between your legs again, sliding a finger between your folds. “That's my angel,” he whispered against your ear, “always so ready for me.”
He replaced his fingers with the head of his cock, teasing your entrance. You couldn’t help but to shift your hips in response, chasing the desire to be full, to have him buried deep inside of you.
“Shhh” Jake stilled your hips with a firm hand, “We’re going to take this slow and sweet darling.”
He lined himself up at your entrance, pushing into you tantalizingly slowly. Soft moans fell from both of your lips as you gave into the feeling. He paused deep within you as he bottomed out, your bodies pressed impossibly close together. His arm reached around you resting on your abdomen.
“You feel this here angel?” he pressed down lightly, “Feel me so deep inside of you?” You nodded quickly, placing your hand over his.
He began to move inside of you, slowly, drawing out the motion, heightening every sense in your body. His hand had made its way up to your breast, massaging it, pinching your nipple between his thumb and forefinger. You could already feel your body working its way up to another orgasm.
Jake began increasing his speed. Bringing his hands back down to your hips to hold you in place as he began to thrust into you with more force. You bit your lip, stifling a moan as he drove into you, your eyes fluttering shut as you focused on the pleasurable feeling building between your legs.
“Don't hold back darling, I want to hear every noise that falls from those pretty lips while I'm buried in this tight, pink, cunt of yours.”
“Oh, God, Jake!” you cried out as he picked up his pace again, working his middle finger against your clit. You could feel the sweat forming between your bodies, his hot chest pressed to your back. You tried to focus on the two sensations overwhelming your senses. His throbbing cock repeatedly slammed into your g spot as his fingers worked quick tight circles over your clit. You felt your body stiffen involuntarily as you grew closer to the edge, whines and moans flowing freely from your lips.
“Relax for me darling, relax and let it go. I want to feel you cum again all over my cock.”
You willed your body to relax, letting your orgasm wash over you. Jake pulled you in tightly to his chest as he continued to fuck you through your orgasm, soon following suit and releasing deep inside of you. You both stayed like that for a moment. You panting sweaty bodies pressed together as tightly as they could be, Jake’s cock softening inside of you. It felt warm, intimate.
Jake pressed a kiss to your temple as he pulled out of you, heading to the bathroom to grab a towel for you to clean up.
“I love you” Jake said as he wiped gently between your thighs.
“I love you, too”
You crawled under the covers, placing your head on Jake's chest, listening to his heartbeat. He traced small circles on your back absentmindedly. You don't remember when you fell asleep.
*****************************
You woke up to the smell of coffee brewing in the kitchen. Soon, Jake appeared with two mugs, handing one to you in bed. He was wearing a pair of gray sweatpants and a black sweater you had never seen on him before. It looked nice on him, hugged his body well… and had a little bow on the collar. That's when you realized he was wearing one of your sweaters. You chuckled to yourself, taking a sip of your coffee.
“Someone’s in a good mood.” Jake smiled at you, pressing a kiss to your forehead.
“Interesting choice of outfits this morning”
“Ah, yeah, this.” he said, gesturing to your sweater. “I didn't want to wake you by opening the blinds but it was pretty dark in here when I woke up, I thought I pulled something out of my suitcase, but it turns out it was yours.”
You chuckled to yourself again, imagining him looking at the sweater in the light and deciding to put it on anyway.
“Mhm, and did you happen to notice the little bow on the front babe?”
Jake looked down at the sweater, eyebrows raised.
“No, actually. No I did not. But I must say I think I'm pulling it off, don't you?” He was laughing now too.
“Actually babe, I think you should keep it on, it looks nice on you.”
“So what’s on the agenda today?” Jake took a sip of his coffee, looking at you with his eyebrows raised.
“Not much, figured we could take a walk along the lake so you can actually see it all in the daylight. My family flies in tonight”
“Ok, well how about we start our morning with some breakfast, and I read some more of the book to you?”
“That sounds great babe” you smiled, getting out of bed and following him down the hall.
And that’s how you spent your morning. Curled up on the couch with breakfast and a cup of coffee while Jake read to you, your legs tangled together under the blankets. And just like that, you had made a new Christmas tradition, just the two of you.
This one is based on the song “Ceilings” by Lizzy McAlpine and I will tell you right now... its a sad one sorry.

“Well then maybe we shouldn't be together, Josh!”
Your words hung heavy in the air as the room fell silent.
Josh looked at you, eyes wide. His mouth opened and closed, but for once he was speechless. You couldn't blame him. You could hardly even believe the words that had come out of your mouth. You just wished you could go back to the beginning. The longing looks, the fleeting touches, the butterflies in your stomach.

Can't you just make it move faster?
Lovely to be sitting here with you
You laid back on Josh’s bed with a sigh, and felt him flop down next to you.
“How are we supposed to pass this exam when Professor Diaz hasn’t even lectured on half of this material?”
“Positive manifestations Y/N, we are going to pass this exam!”
Josh rolled over to face you. You kept your eyes locked on the ceiling of his dorm room. You wished you could just turn around to face him, giving him a gentle kiss on the lips before letting out a soft smile. You've been harboring a crush on Josh since the start of the school year, and as far as you knew he didn't feel the same. Since you were far too scared to ever make a move, you settled for these quiet moments, sitting with Josh, studying, having stupid conversations. Friends, but never anything more.
“Am I missing something?” You felt Josh roll away from you onto his back.
“Hmm?” You finally turned to face him, now that there was some distance between you.
“Well you seem to be completely enthralled by my ceiling tiles” Josh shoved your shoulder playfully, causing your cheeks to flush.
“Oh, I just kinda spaced out”
Lie.
You could still feel the warmth of his hand through your shirt.

You're kinda cute but it's raining harder
My shoes are now full of water
Lovely to be rained on with you
It's kinda cute but it's so short
Then you're driving me home
And I don't wanna leave
But I have to go
You kiss me in your car
And it feels like the start of a movie I've seen before
The rain soaked through your clothes as you sprinted across campus. The weather hadn’t mentioned any rain this morning and you were left without an umbrella. You shivered as you ran, each raindrop chilling you to the bone.
“Y/N!”
You turned to see Josh in an equal case of bad luck, soaking wet holding his backpack up over his head in an attempt at a makeshift umbrella. Nonetheless, his curls hung loose and wet around his face. His white t-shirt had become transparent, giving you a glimpse at his bare torso underneath. . You stood, waiting for Josh to catch up to you. The rain had already soaked completely through your clothes. There was no use in trying to stay out of it anymore.
Rain has always had a romantic feeling to you. Your wildest daydreams swirling with images of you running through the rain in an open field, crashing into your lover's arms as he pulls you in for the kiss. Dancing to an old love song in the middle of a storm under a single streetlight. Now, walking alongside Josh on campus, giggling at your shared misfortune as the two of you tried to squeeze beneath his backpack.
The backpack, now completely waterlogged, wasn't doing much to keep you dry. However, you wouldn’t waste the opportunity to stand so close to Josh. You could feel the heat radiating from beneath his wet shirt despite the dampness and the chill in the air.
“I wish I had my umbrella!” you had to shout over the sound of the downpour.
“I don't even own one!” Josh shot back with a mischievous smile.
You shook your head, feigning disapproval with a grin on your face.
“What! I like to be one with nature!”
He let his backpack fall to the side of his body as he did a little spin, face up to the rain. You stood back and watched , your arms crossed tightly across your chest to keep warm. Josh paused, looking at you .
“Cold, Y/N?”
“Fucking freezing” you laughed off the shiver dancing its way up your back.
“Let me drive you home, my car is a lot closer than your dorm” you nodded in agreement, falling back into step next to Josh.
The rain began to fall even harder, if it was possible. Josh fumbled around in his pocket for his keys as the two of you ran up to his car. In that moment his beat up old Jeep had never looked more welcoming.
Silence washed over the car as you both slammed your doors shut, dampening the sound of the rain outside. Josh started the car and turned the heat on. The radio was playing softly, a song you didn't recognize. Josh turned around, putting his hand on your seat. You held your breath at his proximity to you. He was digging around in his backseat, eventually handing you a sweatshirt.It was a faded dark green color, reading “Mackinac” across the front in peeling letters.
“Here, I keep one in my car in case I need it.”
You blushed as you took the sweatshirt from his hands.
“I don’t want to get it all wet” you frowned, looking down.
“Oh- well you could.. If you want, take your shirt off. Then you'll just have something dry. You’ll warm up faster that way.” Now it was Josh’s turn to blush. “I won’t look.”
Josh turned away from you, shifting sideways in his seat. He covered his eyes with one hand, the other stretched out, fumbling around feigning an attempt to determine his surroundings. You laughed, and then turned your back to Josh. You peeled off your wet shirt, and then your bra, peeking over your shoulder to make sure Josh really wasn’t looking, though you're not sure you’d mind if he did.
You pulled his sweatshirt over your head. It was soft on your skin, and you immediately felt warmer in the dry fabric. You inhaled Josh’s scent. He smelled natural, earthy. You could breathe him in forever.
“You can open your eyes now, Josh.”
He turned to face you again, a smile spreading across his lips as he looked you up and down.
“What!” you smiled, raising your eyebrows.
“Nothing really,” he shook his head, resting his hands on the steering wheel. Turning to face you, he continued “it's just, my sweatshirt looks good on you.”
“Oh” you blushed, leaning back against the passenger door, still facing Josh.
You heard the opening to a familiar song come over the radio. You leaned in to turn the volume up.
“I love this song”
You began singing along, only slightly off key, and Josh joined in, harmonizing with you. You trailed off after the first verse and watched Josh sing. You loved his voice. You loved the way his mouth moved. You loved how soft and pink his lips looked.
You were so engrossed in your own thoughts you didn't even notice when Josh stopped singing. He held your gaze as your eyes met his.
“Y/N..” he said softly.
“Yeah?” you whispered back, afraid to change the tide of the moment, whatever it was.
“I just. I want to try something.”
He leaned in closer to you, your lips dangerously close together.
“Josh, please” you pressed your forehead to his, feeling his breath on you.
Your heart was beating erratically as Josh pressed his lips to yours, closing the distance between you. His lips were just as soft and warm as you imagined as they met yours, featherlight, as if he was afraid to break you.
He pulled away first.
“That was, um, I’m sorry.. Was that okay?”
You answered by pressing your lips to his again. Harder this time. Deeper. You pulled him into you, your hands wrapped around his still wet shirt. You parted your lips for him, his tongue swirling with yours. His hand rested on your thigh, warmth radiating through your cold, wet jeans.
It was you who pulled away first this time, biting back a smile. Josh smiled back, warmth rising in his cheeks.
Josh cleared his throat, “ok um, I should bring you home now, right?”
“Right.” you nodded. “But Josh?”
“Yeah?” his voice perked up
“I don’t know about you but, I think I’d like to do that again”
“Oh thank god”
Josh put the car in drive and began making his way to your dorm. His hand rested on your thigh the entire drive. You wished you could frame this moment in your mind.
When you pulled up in front of your building, you didn't want to get out of the car. Josh kissed you again. Soft. Quick. A goodbye kiss.
You opened the passenger door, luckily the rain had slowed a bit. You stepped out of the car, grabbing your damp backpack and slinging it over your shoulder.
“Y/N!” Josh called to you as you began to walk away “Keep the sweatshirt, it looks good on you”
You smiled like an idiot.
3 MONTHS EARLIER
Bedsheets, no clothes
Touch me like nobody else does
Lovely to just lay here with you
You're kinda cute and I would say all of this
But I don't wanna ruin the moment
Lovely to sit between comfort and chaos
Being with Josh was comfortable. It was a lazy sunday morning, pancakes in bed. A rainy fall day watching a movie under a blanket. A warm cup of tea on a cold winter day. You almost couldn’t remember life before him. Before this.
You sat on his bed together, your legs tangled together. A movie was playing on his laptop, but neither one of you was paying any attention. You didn’t know how long you’d been there. Your lips pressed to his, your hands tangled in his hair. You didn’t care. You’d stay forever if you could.
Josh pulled away, looking at you in the dimly lit room. He looked most beautiful to you like this. His pink, glossy, kiss-swollen lips and messy curls. His eyes raked over your body, but you didn’t feel self conscious, not with Josh. He worshiped every part of your body, even the parts you weren’t so enamored with.
You watched him watch you, pulling your sweatshirt over your head to reveal your lace bra underneath. You were still wearing that same ratty green sweatshirt Josh had given to you almost two months ago and you had no plans to stop. His eyes fell to your chest, taking in the view before reaching out a hand to cup your breasts, pinching your nipples through the lace of your bra. You moaned in approval, tipping your head back as Josh leaned in further.
“Can I?” he reached a hand around your body to the clasp of your bra.
“Mhm” you hummed as your bra fell free of your breasts.
Josh wasted no time in taking your right nipple into his mouth, working his warm tongue around it in a way that made your head spin. His hand traveled lower, teasing the waistband of your sweatpants.
“Wanna touch you” Josh mumbled.
You nodded, easing his hand into your pants. No one had ever touched you quite like Josh. It was as if he was in tune to your body. Like he could feel what you felt. He teased his hand over the fabric of your underwear, featherlight, up and down. He was working you up, and by the time he finally relented and gave you what you wanted, you'd be putty in his hands. This is how it often went with Josh. Sloppy kisses, light touches. Electricity as his fingertips traced every inch of your skin. He wanted to take his time with you. “You’re my sweet girl” he'd say between kisses, like an affirmation.
You wiggled your hips, helping Josh pull your pants down. You watched him settle between your legs, pulling his shirt over his head. The golden “J” necklace fell back into place on his toned chest. He ran his hands up your legs, coaxing your thighs further apart.
“So fucking beautiful, mama”
He hooked his fingers under the waistband of your underwear, pulling them off too, leaving you fully exposed to him. You could feel how wet you were already as the cool air of the room hit you. Your senses were overwhelmed as his hot mouth connected with your inner thigh, nipping and sucking in a way that was intoxicating and sure to leave a mark.
Josh moved his hands up to your hips, thumbs pressing down firmly but gently, holding you in place. He looked up at you, removing his mouth from your thighs.
“Feeling good baby?”
“Josh please, please touch me” you whined, overstimulated.
“You know I will, I'm gonna make you cum all over me, sweet girl, always do.”
He spread you open with two fingers, and sucked in a breath, taking in the view.
“So wet, and all for me?” he shook his head, grinning, and mercifully buried his head between your thighs. His tongue licked hot wet stripes up your center.
“Fuck Josh.. need more”
“Tell me what you need, help me make you feel good.” he looked up at you, kitten licking into your entrance waiting for your response.
“Fingers, I want your fingers, please Josh.”
He wasted no time heeding your request, his middle and forefinger sliding into you with borderline embarrassing ease. He ground his hips down into his mattress at the feeling of how warm and wet you were around his fingers. He pumped in and out of you, in tune to every gasp, every moan, every jerk of your hips. When he could sense how close you were he began to suck lightly on your clit, bringing you right to the edge.
“Oh my.. J-Josh please please don't stop”
Your legs began to shake as your orgasm washed over you. Josh worked you through it, gently slowing his fingers as you came down from your high.
“That's it, good girl” he praised you in a soft voice.
“C’mere” you beckoned to him, sitting up on your elbows.
He leaned over you, connecting your lips. You could still taste yourself on his mouth. You reached one hand up into his hair, tugging lightly, eliciting a moan from Josh.
“Joshy’
‘Mm?” he hummed back, his pupils blown, looking completely fucked out. You could see how hard he was through his pants.
“Wanna ride you, ‘s my turn to make you feel good”
You repositioned, now straddling Josh’s naked body. You positioned yourself over him, lowering yourself down slowly. You both let out a gasp as he filled you up all the way. Sweat beaded on both of your chests as you began moving, Josh guiding your hips. Fuck.
You could already feel your second orgasm building, the coil tightening in your chest. You ground your hips down into Josh, chasing the high.
“That’s right sweet girl, use me. Wanna see you cum again, need to feel you”
You nodded furiously, increasing your pace. Josh snaked his hand in between the two of you, bringing his thumb up to trace circles around your clit. The added sensation overwhelmed your senses.
“I- fuck Josh!”
“That's it, let it go, let me have it, Y/N”
You came hard, your walls tightening around Josh, causing him to let out a loud low moan, almost more of a growl.
“Sorry mama, need you right now”
Quickly he flipped you onto your back beneath him, snapping his hips into your still sensitive walls. The mix of pleasure and pain was overwhelming, but you didn't want to stop. You could tell he was close, his erratic breathing giving him away.
“Josh, I want you to finish inside me” you wrapped your legs around him, holding him in place as he reached his high.
“That was so fucking hot” He stared at you in awe as he pulled out, seeing his own handiwork drip out of you.
He left the room, returning with a warm washcloth, wiping gently between your legs.
You spent the next hour wrapped up in his sheets. No clothes, just his skin on yours. His hands on our body, yours in his hair innocent this time. Comfortable. Safe.
And you knew then, you were fucked. You loved Josh Kiszka.
1 MONTH EARLIER
Then you're driving me home
And it kinda comes out as I get up to go
You kiss me in your car
And it feels like the start of a movie I've seen before
Josh pulled up in front of your dorm, putting the car in park. Light snow was falling outside. It was the last day you were spending together before winter break. You wouldn't see each other for a couple of weeks.
Neither of you said a word, you sat quietly, the hum of the engine the only sound heard in the car. Josh placed his hand on the center console, and you reached your hand up too, holding his. You leaned in, resting your head on his shoulder.
You didn't want to leave him. You were in love with him. But he didn’t know that.
“Y/N,” Josh started softly.
“I know” You sat up, taking in a shaky breath. You promised yourself you wouldn't cry. It was silly after all. You would see him in a few weeks and you were sure you'd talk nearly every day on the phone.
Your eyes betrayed you. Hot silent tears streaming down your face. You turned away, wiping your face with the sleeve of your coat. You felt Josh’s hand on your face, turning you back to face him. Wordlessly he wiped away your tears with a melancholy smile.
“Hey, cheer up sweet girl, it is the most wonderful time of the year after all”
“It can't be the most wonderful time if I’m not with you”
“We’ll be back together soon, I promise you'll be okay.” He leaned in for a goodbye kiss, soft and sweet.
You turned to leave, your hand frozen on the door handle.
“Josh?”
“Yeah?”
“I love you. I fucking love you and I can’t leave without saying it. You don’t have to say it back but i just needed you to know because its been all I can think about and I just-”
You were cut off by Josh’s lips on yours, his hands cupping your face, pulling you in. The kiss was full of emotion, silently letting you know that he felt the same.
Josh broke free off the kiss, breathless, looking into your eyes.
“Y/N I love you too. God you have no idea how much.”
You were crying again, this time a mixture of happy tears and sad tears.
“Here, I want you to have this.” Josh reached behind his head, undoing his golden “J” necklace and holding it out to you. “Something to make you think of me while we’re apart”
“Can you?” you turned your back to him, holding your hair out of the way as he clipped the necklace behind your neck, letting the chain cascade down your front.
“It looks good on you” Josh smiled
“I’m glad, cause I'm never taking it off.”
And you really didn’t plan to.
THAT NIGHT
And I can't recall the last time I was kissed
It hits me in the car
And it feels like the end of a movie I've seen before
“Well then maybe we shouldn't be together, Josh!”
Your words hung heavy in the air as the room fell silent.
Josh looked at you, eyes wide. His mouth opened and closed, but for once he was speechless. You couldn't blame him. You could hardly even believe the words that had come out of your mouth.
“I can't be the reason Josh! I can’t be what holds you back from your dreams, what holds your brothers back! You can't just stay here for me and I can’t do this without you here!”
“I don’t give a fuck! I don’t want any of it if you're not there! How am I supposed to get on stage every night knowing every song is about you?”
“Please, Josh. Please” your voice broke as tears fell from your eyes. He tried to step forward to comfort you but you pushed him away. “I don’t think that's going to help me right now”
“Just say the word, ask me to stay.” He pushed his forehead up against yours, you could feel his breath on your cheeks.
Every fiber of your being wanted to give in. To ask him to stay. Ask him to quit the band, give up the dream. Don’t go on tour. But you couldn’t ask that of him. And you couldn’t do long distance. It had been hard enough over your winter break, but this would be longer, farther, girls drooling all over him every night and you couldn't. Do. it. You knew it would break your heart just as much as this moment.
You shook your head as you reached behind you, unclasping Josh's necklace. You held it out to him, simply placing it in his hand when he didn't reach out to take it.
“Go Josh, you have to go. Maybe someday we’ll see each other again, if it's meant to be.”
You walked away from him quickly, not looking up. The door slammed shut behind you and your vision was blurry from the tears. You didn't know how you made it out of his building, but you collapsed in your car as soon as you got the door shut behind you. None of it felt real.
You replayed everything in your head. The whirlwind of the last 6 months. You couldn’t even remember the last time Josh had kissed you. Was it soft? Quick? Like a habit? Deep and slow, wanting more? You wondered how many of your firsts had also become lasts and how many somedays had become nevers.

You've been a massage therapist for about 5 years now. 6 months ago you moved to Nashville for a fresh start, and opened your own business. It was a historic looking little brick storefront tucked away from the business of downtown. So far you had a few regulars, but no major celebrities, although your friends grilled you every day just to be sure. It was as if they expected Taylor Swift to come waltzing through the door and offer you VIP tickets to her next tour after a life changing massage. You couldn't care less who your clients were. You just wanted to be professional with all of them, especially with the intimacy of your line of work.
You sat in the back with a cup of tea waiting for your last client of the day. Josh K. No last name, just K. He was running late, but you didn’t mind. You were in no rush to head home alone anyways.
You decided to get the room set up while you waited, lighting the pillar candles lining the room. It provided just enough light for you and the client to see one another, but they usually ended up falling asleep anyway. You didn’t mind, it just meant you were doing a good job.
You heard the bell jingle at the front door and assumed Josh must have arrived. You walked out to the front of the store and were met by a short man, no taller than 5’7 if you had to guess. He was young, probably in his mid-twenties. His hair was wild and curly, he had kind eyes, and he was nothing like you expected.
“Sorry I'm late.” He flashed you a sheepish smile, the slightest blush rising to his cheeks. You felt yourself smiling back, you weren’t sure what the feeling was bubbling up in your chest but you had to push it away, be professional.
“It's okay, I’m all ready for you, follow me.” You were calm, collected.
You lead Josh back into the massage room, handing him a towel.
“So you can take off your clothes and lay down on the table, put the towel around your waist, just call me back when you're ready. I’m Y/N by the way.”
The two of you stared at each other in silence for a moment.
“So Y/N you staying for the show or?” Josh gestured to himself, giving you a little smirk.
“Oh gosh yeah sorry” you stuttered out before turning on your heels and closing the door behind you.
What the hell was that? You've had attractive clients in the past, but you’ve never let it get under your skin. Now the thought of going back in there and putting your hands all over his body was daunting. You’d already embarrassed yourself when he was fully clothed.
“Um, Y/N? Ready whenever you are.” Josh’s voice broke through your thoughts from the other room.
Great. Time to go see what he looks like shirtless. At least you wouldn't have to look at his face the whole time.
I’m a professional I’m a professional I’m a professional
You pushed the door open, glancing at Josh on the table. His back muscles were defined and he had a slight tan. You averted your gaze, not wanting to stare, only to see his boxers sitting on top of his clothes folded up on the chair in the corner of the room.
“Oh.” Shit. You didn't mean to say that aloud.
“Is there a problem?” Josh peeked his head over his shoulder at you.
“No no everything’s fine, it's just, people usually leave their underwear on under the towel” You gave him a shy smile, trying not to turn red at the thought of him being completely naked under the towel.
“Oh I’m sorry, when you said to take my clothes off I just assumed- nevermind I can put it back on I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable.”
“Don’t bother, it’s okay, really. First time getting a massage?”
“Am I that obvious?” He laughed lightheartedly. Even his laugh was cute.
You took a deep breath, warming up some oil between your palms, getting ready to start the massage.
“Sorry if my hands are a little cold.”
You began working on his neck and shoulders. He was tight, maybe one of the worst clients you've ever seen.
“Just let me know if I’m hurting you, you've got some pretty big knots I want to loosen up.”
“Yeah that’s thanks to life on the road.”
“Are you not from Nashville?”
“No not technically, I suppose it is home now although I'm not here very often. I'm actually from Michigan.”
“I'm not from here either, I moved from Florida, I used to work in a parlor there, but now I own this one.” You don't usually make small talk with your clients but it was helpful to keep your mind from wandering to less work appropriate things. “What do you do?”
“I’m a singer.”
“Ah, came to Music City to chase your dream?”
“My brother’s dream really, he's a guitarist. We play in a band together.”
“Oh really, anything I know?”
“Oh, I don’t know, maybe.”
You could tell from the tone of his voice that he was being modest. His band might be a little more successful than he wanted to let on. It dawned on you that that’s probably why he didn't give you his last name, he was probably hoping for some anonymity. You’d have to let your friends know about this later, maybe they might have some idea who he was.
You continued on in silence, working your way down Josh’s back. Every once and a while he let out a little moan or sigh, and you couldn’t stop yourself from imagining him making those noises in bed with you.
I’m a professional I’m a professional I’m a professional
You repeated the mantra in your head.
After a little while you noticed Josh shifting his hips slightly, wiggling around.
“If you need to move around a little or change positions that's okay, just let me know.”
“Um, actually could you just give me a minute maybe?” He looked a little sheepish.
Oh. OH.
You opened and closed your mouth, toying with a piece of hair.
“Don’t worry, it happens. It’s a lot of intense sensations” You handed Josh a robe so he could sit up, turning your back to him while he put it on. You bit your lip thinking about what you would see if you turned around. Josh completely naked, with a throbbing erection.
I’m a professional I’m a professional I’m a professional
“This must happen to you all the time.”
You turned to face him, now sitting upright on the table, the towel and his hands trying to conceal the very apparent bulge beneath the robe.
“Well, yeah like I said it happens sometimes it’s nothing to be embarrassed about”
“Well sure, but not every masseuse is as drop dead gorgeous as you are. I'd be willing to bet it happens more often with you.”
You stared at him speechless
“Um well I’ll just, I’ll just give you a minute to um.. I’ll give you a minute.” You reached for the door. You needed to get out of there before you let the hunger building inside you take control. If you didn’t leave right now you suspected you might become a little unprofessional.
“Or you could stay…”
Your hand froze on the doorknob, your heartrate picking up. You heard Josh jump down from the table, walking up behind you. His body heat radiated, making you even more flustered.
I’m a professional I’m a professional I’m- Fuck it.
You dropped your hand from the doorknob, turning to face him, daring to meet his eyes.
“Stay?”
“I'd like to see what else you can do with those hands sweetheart.”
You reached out in front of you, slowly undoing the tie on his robe, leaving him fully exposed in front of you. The tops of his cheeks turned pink as he watched you take in his body in full. He was hard as a rock, and probably the biggest you’ve seen. You rubbed your thighs together at the sight, unable to keep still with the hormones rushing through your veins.
“Go sit on the table again.”
Josh raised his eyebrows at you, but did as he was told.
You stood in front of him, dropping to your knees. If you were going to be unprofessional you were at least going to make sure he left feeling fully serviced. You placed your hands on his thighs, gently running your thumbs in small circles. You took him into your mouth slowly, taking your time running your tongue around his sensitive tip. Josh let out a soft moan, much like the ones you had heard earlier. You couldn’t help but feel validated knowing that your dirty wandering thoughts from earlier had been correct. You bobbed your head up and down feeling Josh twitch in your mouth as you snaked one had back between his legs, fondling his balls. Josh’s hands wandered as you continued to work on his length, slipping under your top and feeling your hard nipples through the thin lace of your bralette. You moaned around him as he pinched your left nipple between his thumb and forefinger, the vibrations causing him to throw his head back in pleasure. You shifted your weight, rubbing your thighs together desperate for contact. Josh took notice,
“Mama, switch with me”
The two of you stood, face to face. Josh bent down, lifting you up and placing you on the table. You couldn’t help but giggle at yourself now atop your own massage table, but you had passed the point of being a professional a long time ago.
Josh undid your pants, pulling them swiftly off your legs. He hooked his fingers under the waistband of your underwear, flashing you an eyebrows-raised look asking silent permission to remove them. You nodded enthusiastically, and Josh tossed your underwear aside, pulling your legs apart and exposing you fully to him. He could see the wetness glistening at your core, and he groaned as he ran a finger through your folds.
“Please, Josh”
You were breathless and desperate, a complete mess for the stranger, your client, standing before you. He gently slid one finger inside you, and then another. Pumping in and out of you at a tantalizingly slow pace. His thumb brushed against your clit, not giving you the pressure you needed. You were past the point of dancing around what you needed, and what you needed was more, to be filled completely by his cock.
“Josh, I need you to bend me over this table and fuck me, hard.”
You saw the glint in his eyes as you jumped down and leaned against the table, bending over and spreading your legs.
“Oh god Y/N, I wanted to do this the second I saw you”
Josh wasted no time in lining himself up at your entrance and pushing himself in, bottoming out against your cervix in the perfect mix of pleasure and pain. He snapped his hips against you, falling into a rhythm. You reached your hand between your legs circling your clit as Josh continued fucking you. He soon replaced your hand with his own. He leaned over, speaking directly into your ear, you could feel his hot breath on your neck as he spoke,
“I wanna be the one to make you cum mama. I wanna feel that tight pussy clench around me. I wanna hear the pretty little noises you make when you come undone.” He practically growled into your ear, making your legs grow weak beneath you.
He continued his assault on your clit as his tip caught your g-spot with each thrust. You could feel the orgasm brewing in the pit of your stomach, a fire lit deep within you, burning through your veins. Josh was close too, you could tell as his rhythm started to fall apart.
“Josh I-Oh fuck” you came hard. You felt yourself clenching around him as he continued thrusting in and out of you.
“God that was hot mama, hearing you say my name, I’m gonna cum”
Josh pulled out of you, his warm streams falling on your lower back. The room fell silent for a moment as you both took in what had happened.
You broke the silence first, “Um, there’s some towels in that cabinet over there” you said, nodding to your left. Josh retrieved a towel for you and himself, helping to wipe you clean.
“So, do you do this with all your clients?” Josh asked, an air of sarcasm in his voice.
“Nope, this would be a first for me. I promise under usual circumstances I’m a professional.”
“Usual circumstances?”
“Well it's not every day I have a hot naked rockstar on my table.”
“Okay, fair enough”
“So, now that you've had me bent over my massage table do I get to know the name of your band?”
“My last name is Kiszka, you can google me” he said with a wink, as he dressed himself.
Josh Kiszka of Greta Van Fleet became a regular client, the only one to receive special services.

You shifted in your seat the whole drive home from work trying to get comfortable. It had been a long day and your back was killing you. All you wanted to do was curl up on the couch with Josh and watch some film that he was interested in while you inevitably fell asleep on his shoulder.
You dropped your bags by the door, kicking your shoes off. Josh called to you from the other room,
“Hey mama, I picked up some takeout. We finished early in the studio today.”
You grimaced as you sat down on the couch, running your hand along the back of your neck. Josh took notice as he entered the room, coming to sit next to you.
“What's wrong?”
“My neck and my back are killing me, it was just a long day at work.” you gave Josh a soft smile to let him know you'd be okay, but it must not have been very convincing.
He brought you an advil and a glass of water, instructing you to get undressed and wait for him in the bedroom.
“Let me take care of you mama.”
You really did have the sweetest boyfriend in the world.
Josh brought in what he called his “relaxation essentials” which included candles, his essential oil diffuser, and come lavender and cbd infused lotion. He gestured for you to turn your back to him, sitting on the bed behind you. He rubbed his hands together, warming the lotion before starting to massage your neck. You let out a little sigh as he worked into your right shoulder.
“Damn, you really are tight. Let me know if I hurt you okay?”
You nodded in response, your eyes fluttering shut as you gave into the calming feeling washing over you.
After loosening up your shoulders, Josh asked you to lay flat on your stomach so he could have better access to your back. He sat beside you, working his way up and down your back. You had to admit that his hands were like magic. Gentle, but firm, leaving your tired muscles loose and warm. You loved the feeling of having Josh’s hands on your body, anywhere and everywhere.
Once Josh sensed that you were no longer in pain, he switched to gentle motions, running his fingertips along your back.
“Guess what im spelling” he said, tracing his fingers along your back with a purpose.
You concentrated on his movements, but figured out what it would be fairly quickly.
“Hmmm, is it ‘I love you’?”
“How’d you guess?”Josh feigned shock at your answer.
“Beginners luck” you smiled to yourself as Josh continued to trace his fingers along your back, down your spine, around your hips, everywhere.
“You’re gorgeous, mama.” Josh’s hands began to roam a little lower, cupping your ass before moving back up your spine.
You turned slightly, peeking at him over your shoulder. You could see that he was rock hard under his pants. Touching your body had turned him on as much as it had begun to turn you on, and you could feel the wetness pooling in between your thighs.
Josh’s hands dipped lower again, ghosting over your core. You instinctively let out a gasp as his fingers teased over your folds, not quite touching you where you were now desperate to be touched. Josh took this as encouragement, spreading you open with his fingers and feeling how wet you were for him. You drew in a breath as he drew his finger up and down your folds, teasing you at both your entrance and your clit.
“Josh, please, I need you to touch me” you practically whined, grinding your hips down into the mattress in search of more contact.
“I told you I’d take care of you” Josh replied, rolling you over onto your back.
He held your hips down with one hand, settling between your thighs. He experimentally licked up your center, his warm, wet, tongue sending a shiver up your spine. You let out a breathy moan, finally getting what you needed so badly. Your fingers twisted in his curls as he licked into you, expertly alternating between swirling motions and sucking on your clit. Your legs began to shake around him, and he didn't slow down, drawing low moans and curses from your lips. You came hard, falling back against the bed and letting out a breath you didn’t know you'd been holding. Josh emerged from between your legs, glistening. The bulge in his pants had grown in size in a way that had to be painful by now, you could already see the precum beginning to leak through his pants.
“It’s my turn to take care of you now” you said, taking control.
You undid Josh’s pants, setting his erection free before pushing him down on the bed. You straddled him, lining up his length at your entrance, and slowly sinking down onto him. Josh let out a moan, throwing his head back in pleasure.
“Needed you so bad mama, m’not gonna last long”
You nodded, continuing to ride him at as quick of a pace as you could. Each time you drew back you caught your g spot, driving you quickly to the brink of your second orgasm. Josh’s hands rested on your waist helping you maintain your pace as you both began to get lost in pleasure.
“C’mon mama cum for me again. I can feel that pretty pussy of yours fluttering around me. I want to see your face, you look so perfect riding me, let go mama.”
Josh’s words pushed you over the edge, hitting your second orgasm. Pleasure washed over you and you could feel Josh’s warm release fill you as he finished inside you. You both sat there for a moment, unable to move with you still straddling his lap.
“Do you feel better now, mama?”
“I sure do Joshy”
With all the hormones rushing through your body, you forgot your back ever even hurt in the first place.
Hello!! I’m done with school now so updates will be more frequent:)
TW- mentions of blood
You woke up to the sound of Paige knocking on your door.
“Wake up sleeping beauty! We have to be on the bus in a half hour!”
You groaned, padding over to the door to let Paige in. Her face immediately turned to a look of shock and concern, eyeing the side of your head.
“Paige what? You’re freaking me out.”
“You’re bleeding! Or you were… your ear!”
You gasped, putting your hand up to the side of your head and feeling the dried blood on your face. You turned around, seeing blood stains still on your pillow as well. Jake must have gotten blood on your face last night. Last night… you kissed Jake. That had really happened.
Shit.
What were you going to say to Paige? Or to Jake when you next saw him. You had made a mess of it all.
You left a very worried looking Paige in the doorway, walking into the bathroom to rinse the blood off your face. Paige’s brows furrowed as she tried to make sense of your nonchalant behavior.
“I must’ve cut myself when I took out my earring last night… no big deal it’s all healed, I promise. Why don’t you go tell the boys I’m running late I’ll meet you downstairs as fast as I can.”
Paige looked unconvinced but decided not to press the matter further while you were already running late.
Once Paige was gone, and you shut the door behind her, you let out a deep breath you didn’t know you’d been holding in. That was too close for comfort. You would have had to explain that you kissed Jake and that he’s a vampire. That you kissed your vampire boss. Oh god. You were for sure going to have to talk to Jake about this, but you didn’t want to bring any unnecessary attention to it. You’d have to wait until later, after soundcheck.
You threw on clothes quickly, packing up your suitcase and heading out to the buses. You double checked for any other blood spots on you before leaving your room. You couldn’t have Paige asking any more questions, though you admittedly still had some of your own. You didn’t know what Jake was doing, who’s blood he was covered in, who he was killing. He didn’t want you to know, so naturally you were morbidly curious. Too bad curiosity killed the cat.
——JAKES POV——
The door slammed shut behind you. You could feel your fangs poking out of your upper lip.
You couldn’t let this happen.
You couldn’t have feelings for a human.
It wasn’t safe for her. You weren’t safe for her. Your world wasn’t safe for her. You knew that, and yet from the first moment you met her she captivated you. There was just something about her. She smelled delicious, but you didn’t feel the same blind hunger with her that you felt with others. You wanted to protect her, but your instincts betrayed you. She’s too fragile. And you’re a killer.
The only way to keep Evie safe was to stay away from her. As much as possible while on tour together. Being a better person, vampire, just wasn’t possible. You had a job to do, a job she could never know about for her own safety. You had already made the mistake of bringing your brothers into it all.
She was smarter than you bargained for, snd maybe more reckless as well. She had figured out your secret quickly, yet somehow was stupid enough to kiss a vampire. You knew she wouldn’t stop digging. But you couldn’t risk them knowing about her. They’d find a use for her, use her as leverage if they knew you cared for her.
You knew you would hurt her. Brushing her off, pretending like the kiss had never happened. Maybe she’d go running back to Sammy. As much as it would hurt, you knew he would be better able to keep her safe. His diet and his gift saw to that.
You stepped into the shower, washing the blood off. You knew what Evie thought, but it wasn’t what it seemed. This blood wasn’t just some poor blonde girl in an alley. But there was so much more she couldn’t understand and it was better that way. Your world was dangerous, and vampires like yourself were only the beginning.
You took her advice, soaking your shirt in cold water in the sink.
You knew Josh was going to ask you what happened with Evie. He had an annoying knack for knowing when something was up with you. Probably some twin-tuition thing. You didn’t want to talk about it, and you knew he’d press you for information. That makes two people you’re avoiding for the time being. You’d just have to stay in your bedroom on the tour bus, only leaving for soundcheck and the show. You had enough blood bags to go a few nights without hunting. Hopefully Evie would get the hint by then and leave you alone.
You wanted to know what she was thinking. The one and only time you wished you could be more like a Twilight vampire. You just hoped you wouldn’t hurt her too badly. Not more than you already had.
You and Sam Kiszka, your childhood friend, are on a road trip to Nashville to meet up with Jake and Josh. You’ve just graduated high school and are struggling with the impending separation from your best friend, and wishing he would be more.
This is based on the release of GVF’s Choose The Road playlist on Spotify!
Sam Kiszka x Female Reader
Warnings- 18+ explicit content, oral sex (m receiving), unprotected sex
You had been planning this road trip for months. You had just graduated from high school a few days ago, and now you were headed south from your hometown in Michigan to Nashville, Tennessee with your best friend Sam. He was the bassist for the band Greta Van Fleet, the other members of the band consisted of his older brothers Jake and Josh, and your mutual friend Danny. Their band had really taken off in the past few months and they had decided to move to Nashville to focus on music and record their first full length album. Since you had nothing to do until college began in the fall, Jake and Josh had agreed to let you come along with Sam for the summer and stay with them in Nashville. They were nice like that. Your close friendship with Sam had rendered the twins as your stand in older brothers, you had all grown up together.
You stood with your hands on your hips as Sam threw the last of your bags into his clunky old VW Bus. You weren’t even sure it would make it all the way to Nashville but hey, that’s part of the fun right?
“You ready?” Sams voice cut through your thoughts.
“Ready as I’ll ever be. Shotgun!” You joked running to the passenger seat knowing full well there was no one else coming with you.
Sam slid into the drivers seat next to you, starting onto the back roads of your hometown. You pulled out your phone and began playing the road trip playlist the two of you had made (this). The sound of Lou Reed’s Satellite of Love came through the speakers. You rolled the window down and sang along, your hair blowing in the wind. You hated your singing voice, but Sam had always told you he liked it. You weren’t surprised to see him looking over at you with a smile. You stuck your tongue out at him and went back to looking out the window.
Highways in the middle of the country are flat and boring. You’ve been driving for about 2 hours now and a comfortable silence has washed over the car. You leaned your head back on the headrest and found yourself staring at Sam. Your whole childhood you had thought he was cute, Jake and Josh used to tease you but Sam never really noticed. You told yourself it didn’t really matter, because he was your best friend and that would be enough for you. But right now, looking at him as the sun cut through the window across his face, his hair pulled back in a messy bun, you wished for a moment that he was more than your best friend. You only let yourself think it for a second.
As if on cue, Boys by The Beatles came on shuffle, making you blush.
I been told when a boy kiss a girl
Take a trip around the world
My girl says when I kiss her lips
Gets a thrill through her fingertips
You laughed to yourself, and Sam turned to look at you.
“What’s so funny Y/N?”
The blush spread further across your cheeks as you shook your head in response “It’s nothing I swear just cracking myself up.”
“Aww cmon bug. It’s a long ride, you’ve gotta entertain me.” Sam knew how to get to you using your childhood nickname and giving you a playful shove on the shoulder. The twins had started calling you bug one summer after you became obsessed with saving the worms you found on the sidewalk after it rained. It just kinda stuck after that.
“I was just thinking- do you remember when we were little and Josh and Jake used to tell us we’d get married someday, and we’d pretend to get married but you’d never kiss me at the end because girls were gross.”
“Yeah sure I remember, that was funny to you?” He looked at you inquisitively.
“Not funny necessarily just, we’re not little kids anymore are we.” It came out more as a statement then a question.
“No, we’re not.”
“I’m gonna miss you Sammy.”
“Miss me? I’m right here. You’re not getting rid of me all summer.”
“I know, I mean after this summer. You’re going off on tour and I’m going to college. It won’t be the same.”
“I’ll miss you too, bug. But pinky promise we’ll stay friends?”
You reached out and linked your pinky with his.
“Pinky promise.”
You weren’t sure when you fell asleep but you woke up to Sam gently shaking you. You quickly realized that he was outside the car and you were stopped on the side of the highway.
“So um…” he started out almost a little sheepish. “We have to get the car towed” you couldn’t help but shoot him a glare. You had suggested taking your much newer and more reliable car, but Sam had insisted on taking his against your better judgment.
“What’s wrong with it?”
“We’ll, I’m not sure but I know that’s not good.” He pointed to the plume of black smoke coming out from the front of the car.
“Where are we exactly?”
“Just outside of Cincinnati, so about halfway there.”
You sighed, climbing out of the car.
“What did I tell you Sammy, I’m always right after all” you flipped our hair over your shoulder for added effect, knowing it would get to him.
“Oh now you’re just asking for it.”
You took off running into the open field behind you while Sam followed in hot pursuit, trying to tickle you. Something you hated and something he had made a habit of as a method of torture in your younger years. He quickly bought up to you with his longer legs, knocking you to the ground, pinning you down. Your pulse quickened as you took not of Sams proximity to you, his hands on your wrists. You met his eyes with your own, and you both stayed that way just for a second, but what felt like forever.
“Sammy?” His eyes trailed down, watching your lips as you spoke.
“Yeah bug?” His voice came out gently.
“The tow truck is here.”
He scrambled up quickly going to meet the tow truck, the energy around you dissipating as quickly as it had built up. You weren’t sure, but it seemed like Sam Kiszka wanted to kiss you.
There was a problem with the carburetor, that was the cause of the black smoke. The mechanic said it was a fairly easy fix, but that he wouldn’t be able to get the right parts until tomorrow, so you would need to stay somewhere for the night. You collected your bags from the back of the van, and took an Uber to a nearby hotel. You sat in the lobby and called Jake and Josh to let them know you wouldn’t be arriving till tomorrow while Sam checked you in.
“To what do I owe the pleasure bug?” Josh answered your call enthusiastically.
“Well, the bus broke down…” Josh burst out laughing at that.
“I told him not to drive that piece of crap!”
“I know me too! But he was too stubborn! Anyway, it’s an easy fix luckily, but we do have to wait overnight, we’re somewhere in Ohio.”
“Ohhh I see, this was all part of your plan to get my little brother alone in a hotel room.” Josh teased, his tone dripping with sarcasm.
“Shut up! You know it’s not like that Josh.”
“The only one who doesn’t see it is Sam himself, and maybe you if you keep on lying to yourself. Just tell him Bug, I have a feeling he just might feel the same.”
“And if he doesn’t?”
“You’ve been friends for a long time, I think you could work it out.”
Sam came walking over to you, hotel keys in hand.
“Okay Josh I’ve gotta go.”
“Just promise me you’ll think about it bug.”
“Okay I promise.”
You hung up the phone and turned to face Sam.
“What exactly are you promising to my brother?” Sam mock interrogated you, raising one eyebrow.
“Promising to keep you out of trouble mister!” You stood, grabbing the keys from his hand and starting towards the elevator.
“Um Y/N…” Sam fidgeted with the handle of his suitcase as the elevator doors closed in front of you. “So all they had left were rooms with one king bed, but it’s okay I’ll sleep on the floor.”
You held your breath for a moment as you considered what you were going to say next, thinking it might be a very stupid idea, but wanting to be closer to Sam.
“Sammy don’t be stupid, you can share a bad with me. I don’t bite.”
“Are you sure? Only if it’s okay with you.”
“It’s fine Sammy I promise.” It was more than fine, although your heart was beating so fast you thought it might break your ribs.
You opened up the door to the hotel room and put your bags down. Sam called out to have a pizza delivered, the the two of you sat down on the end of the bed on a comfortable silence, just taking everything in and realizing how tired you were from a day of driving. After a little bit Sam took out his guitar, noodling around until you began to recognize the tune, Someone New by Hozier. You began to sing along to his playing
Would things be easier if there was a right way?
Honey there is no right way
And so I fall in love just a little ol' little bit
Every day with someone new
Josh’s words played through your head. To tell Sam how you felt. There wasn’t a right way to do it, but man it would be easier if there were. How would you even begin that conversation? Hey I’m in love with you and I think I have been since we were 6?
Sam stopped playing and looked up at you.
“Where’d you go bug, what’s on your mind?”
“You” the word fell out of your mouth before you could stop it. I guess that was one way to start the conversation.
“Me? What about me?”
“Please don’t Sammy, don’t play dumb. Your brothers know, Ronnie knows, Danny knows, even your mom knows.”
“Well… I don’t. Just tell me bug. You know you can tell me anything.”
“I’m in love with you Sammy. I am in love with you. And I have been for a very long time. I thought maybe I’d get over it, or that I could just live with it because I didn’t want to lose this. But now we graduated and we’re going on to different chapters in our lives and I feel like missing you, will be like missing half of my heart. Josh told me I should just tell you, so I am.”
Sam just looked at you, his soft brown eyes met your own, but he didn’t say anything.
“Please say something Sammy, anything.”
He didn’t say anything. Instead, he leaned in and kissed you. Gently at first, hesitantly, like he was afraid to break you. He pulled away, tucking your bar behind your ear.
“Of course I love you bug. I’d be an absolute idiot not too. I just never thought I was good enough for you. You deserve the world bug.”
“You are the world to me.”
You climbed onto Sam’s lap, straddling him. He kissed you passionately, his tongue immediately requesting entrance, and you obliged parting your lips for him. His hands trailed down your body, coming to rest on top of your hips, gently rocking you against his lap. You trailed your fingers though his long hair, tugging gently at the roots causing Sam to let out a slight moan into your mouth. You could feel him beginning to get hard beneath you as you kept your lips pressed to his, you never wanted to stop kissing him.
“Roll over bug.” Sammy whispered softly, urging you off of his lap and flat on the bed.
He hung over you, leaning down to kiss you on the lips, on your nose, down your neck, anywhere he could reach. You let out a little giggle as his hair tickled you. He paused, meeting your eyes.
“You have no idea how badly I wanted to do this earlier today, In the field”
“You have no idea how badly I wanted you to.”
“Can I?” You nodded, helping sam pull your t-shirt off over your head. He sucked in a sharp breath at the sight of you topless beneath him. You hadn’t been wearing a bra for comfort on the road trip, and you now sat completely exposed beneath him. He leaned down, taking your nipple in his mouth and sucking lightly, causing it to harden in his mouth.
You could feel yourself growing wetter, no doubt having soaked through your panties by now. You wriggled your hips beneath Sam, desperate for contact. He smirked up at you, unable to resist a smart remark.
“Wow bug, I know I’m sexy but who knew you wanted me that bad?”
“Shut up Sammy, just touch me”
Sam pulled down your nike running shorts, revealing your soaked through panties beneath. His eyes widened at the sight as he pulled your wet panties off as well. He ran one finger up you, gathering your wetness before beginning to circle your clit.
“You tell me what feels good bug, okay? I want to make you finish first”
You let out a breathy moan of encouragement, not sure you could find the right words. You weren’t going to last very long. Your legs began to shake, letting Sam know he was doing a good job, and in no time you were crying out in pleasure, unable to contain the string of expletives mixed with Sam’s name that fell from your lips. After a moment, you sat up, hooking your fingers through Sam’s waistband and setting his throbbing erection free. He looked at you excitedly, precum already glistening on the head of his cock. You took him in your mouth, swirling your tongue around the tip. You took note of Sams body language, letting you know what felt the best. His head was thrown back in pleasure, his eye screwed shut as he tried to control his breathing. One hand tested on your shoulder, holding your hair back for you.
“Bug…” he tapped your shoulder, requesting for you to stop. “I want to fuck you please, I need to feel you”
You leaned back on the bed, opening your legs for him. He slid into you easily, your wetness having spread down your thighs. He was big, and you let out a little gasp as he filled you up. He paused, giving you a look of concern, but you nodded for him to continue. He built up a rhythm quickly, repeatedly snapping his hips against yours. You could feel a second orgasm building, and your face flushed and you began to tighten around him. He looked down at you and managed a breathless, “that’s it bug, come again for me pretty, I want to see your face when I make you come undone.”
You orgasmed for the second time that night, letting go with Sams encouragement. He quickly followed suit, pulling out and spilling onto your stomach with a moan. He quickly went into the bathroom, tossing you a towel to clean up.
The two of you dressed yourselves in a comfortable silence, stealing glances and exchanging soft smiles. Sam crawled into bed under the covers, and gestured for you to come join him. You obliged, letting him pull you into his chest. You breathed in, inhaling his familiar scent.
“I love you bug”
“I love you too, Sammy”
“How long do you think we’ll be able to hide this from my brothers?”
“Hmmm, 30 seconds? We already know I have a bad poker face.”
“Probably just as well because I won’t be able to stop doing this,” sam pressed a gentle kiss to your lips.
Everything was finally falling into place just how you had always wanted it, and you couldn’t be happier.
A/N- I started writing this about a week ago, it’s on the shorter side because given current events in the fandom I’m haven’t really been in the mood to write, so I wanted to get out what I did have for now.
You didn’t see the boys after the show. They ran off almost immediately to take care of whatever Jake and Jeff had discussed earlier. You and Paige had gone out for some drinks, but you couldn’t stop yourself from worrying about Jake. Wherever he was it seemed like it was a serious matter. Now you sat alone on your hotel room. It was late, but you were hoping you might hear the boys get back to the hotel, at least then you could stop worrying. While you had time to kill you decided to look up some more vampire lore. You couldn’t shake what Sammy had said about Jake having turned him and Josh. They way he backtracked immediately made you think there was more there he didn’t want you to discover, so naturally you planned to go digging.
There were various takes on how you could be turned into a vampire. Some pages say it’s just a bite. Others state that you must drink the blood of a vampire and then die with it in your system. None of this information was really what you were looking for. Obviously Sam and Josh were vampires, you weren’t really interested in the how, but the why. Then a different article caught you eye, one on vampire sires. You skimmed through the page looking for anything of interest, “An alpha vampire who has turned other members of his nest is considered the sire. The sire will be the leader of the nest and the bloodline. If you kill a sire, you will kill every vampire who he has turned along with him. Sires are typically old and powerful. For more information on how to kill a sire check out our article ‘Vampire Hunter Dos and Don’ts’”. The description matched Jake in part. He seemed to be the leader and had turned his brothers. If killing Jake would really kill all three of them that would explain why Sam didn’t want you to find out. The only piece that didn’t make sense was Jake’s age. They had been turned recently according to Josh, not in another century. So how did Jake get turned? Does he have his own sire?
You heard a shuffling in the hallway. Hoping it might be the boys you walked over to your door, looking out the peephole. Upon seeing Jake in the hallway, you opened your door.
“Jake.”
He turned to face you, and that’s when you noticed he was covered in blood, his shirt nearly soaked through.
“Jake?! What happened?” You couldn’t conceal the worry in your tone.
Jake held up one finger to his lips, shushing you before following you into your room and closing the door behind him.
“Im okay Evelyn it’s fine.”
“Who’s blood is that?” Your voice grew quiet as your worry for Jake dissipated with the realization that he was a vampire. A killer. This could be the blood of an innocent. Your body was pumping with adrenaline, keeping you alert even with the sight of the bloodied man in front of you.
“It’s mine, but I’m okay. I’m not injured anymore. I can heal.”
“How did this happen, Jake. Did you hurt someone else? Did you kill someone?”
“I did what I had to do Evelyn. You don’t know what’s at stake if I don’t.”
“So tell me. Make me understand. Because right now I think I’m working for a murderer for hire and I don’t know if I can live with myself.”
“Is that how you see me?”
“Jake you’re a fucking vampire coming home covered in blood! What the hell am I supposed to think?”
“I meant as someone you work for, just your boss.”
You paused, caught off guard by his response. Even though part of you really wanted to pursue the conversation you knew you couldn’t.
“Don’t change the subject, Jake.”
“Look Evie, I have to kill people sometimes. I don’t want to, but you just have to trust me.”
He caught you off guard for the second time that night. He had called you Evie in lieu of your full name for the first time since tour began.
“If you don’t want to kill people why did you change Sam and Josh? Why would you make more vampires? You might have even had to kill them to turn them. How do you justify this life?”
“How did you know that.” He spoke the words forcefully. He didn’t want you to know either.
“It was a hypothesis, but you just confirmed it for me.”
Jake took a step towards you, his face set in a scowl.
“You’re fucking infuriating, Evelyn.”
You took a step forward as well, closing the gap between you.
“Huh isn’t that ironic. Guess you needed a taste of your own medicine.”
Jakes eyes met yours. He wasn’t wearing his contacts and the red color was piercing. A reminder of what he was.
“You should take this off.” You said softly, gesturing to his shirt. “If you don’t soak it you’ll never get the blood stains out. Make sure you use cold water.”
“If you wanted me to take my shirt off you could’ve just said so.” Jake replied with a smirk that made you want to slap him. But at the same time you couldn’t help but trail your eyes down his torso as he pulled the shirt up over his head.
Jake now stood in front of you half naked, but he didn’t back away. You turned away, suddenly feeling shy standing in front of him.
“Evie.”
There it was again. Your nickname. It sounded foreign, but hypnotic coming out of his mouth.
You turned back to face him, and without thinking you touched your lips to his. You took him by surprise, but Jake softened his lips, kissing you back.
Jake pulled away first, his fangs poking out over his bottom lip. You looked at him inquisitively. Jake reached out a hand, tucking your hair gently behind your ear.
“We shouldn’t have done that.”
You nodded, staring at the floor.
“Goodnight Evie.” Jake slipped out quickly, taking his bloody shirt with him.
You sat back on your bed in silence. You reached up one hand tentatively running your fingers along your lips. Jake was your boss, he was a vampire, and a killer; but you were falling for him.
A very quick one shot based on a conversation on one of my group chats today.
Warnings- 18+, Unprotected Sex
You loved watching Jake perform. You could feel the pure joy and passion radiating from the stage. You loved the way the sweat glistened off his chest. The way his fingers moved against the strings. You loved the way he’d find you in the crowd, playing to you.
Jake loved it too. Performing gave him a rush. Pent up energy that, well, had to go somewhere after he performed.
Tonight was particularly bad. It was your fault Jake was so worked up. You had been sending him dirty texts all throughout their soundcheck, but were conveniently nowhere to be found between soundcheck and the show. Now you stood on his side of the pit in his favorite dress. A little red number that hugged your body just right. You could tell he was frustrated looking at you, his face flushed as he struggled to hide the growing bulge in his pants behind his guitar. You made your way out of the pit and backstage during the encore. You wanted to be waiting in the wings when they finished their set.
Jake exited the stage making a beeline straight for you. You smiled innocently.
“You played well tonight Jakey, but you seemed a little distracted. Anything I can help with?”
Jake leaned in so only you could hear, his lips brushing against your ear as he spoke, “Don’t play all innocent now baby. I know you want me just as bad as I want you.”
He was right. You felt the wetness between your legs increase at his words.
Jake spun you around, placing a hand on your lower back and leading you away hurriedly towards his dressing room. As soon as he was able to get the door shut, he pressed you up against it, pinning your wrists above your head.
“I’ve been thinking about you all fucking day. I need you Y/N”
He crashed his lips into yours with intensity, and you immediately parted your lips for his tongue, meeting the passion he was showing you. You tangled your fingers in his hair, tugging lightly at the roots causing Jake to let out a moan into you mouth.
Jakes hands slid down to your skirt pulling it roughly up your thighs and allowing him full access to your aching core. He quickly pulled your panties to the side and ran one finger through your folds making sure you were ready for him. You squirmed at the contact, bucking your hips up into his hand desperate for more.
“Such a good girl. Always so wet for me” he said breathless as he undid his belt, pulling his pants down around his ankles and setting his erection free. You could already see the precum dripping from the swollen tip.
He took you right then against his dressing room door, unable to wait another second to feel you clench around his cock. As he rammed into you, he placed one hand over your mouth to keep your moans from letting the whole crew know what was going on behind closed doors. In that moment you didn’t even care if they heard. The way he filled you up was perfect, and you could feel your much anticipated orgasm building. You slid your hand down between your bodies, sloppily circling your clit as you chased your high. Jake took notice and nudged your hand away, replacing it with his own. You knew you wouldn’t last long as your legs began to shake beneath you.
You and Jake reached your high together, his warm release filling you up. He whispered words of praise mixed with expletives as he came, unable to form a coherent sentence.
You caught your breath as Jake pulled out of you, leaning your forehead against his.
“I’m glad I could help you release all that pent up energy” you whispered with a wink.
Jake simply pressed a kiss to your forehead, tucking a piece of hair behind your ear and chuckling to himself.
“Just keep in mind what you’ve started, I can send dirty texts too you know.”

Masterpost
You had decided to start with Josh’s makeup tonight since it was going to take you the longest. He wanted some gold face paint and glitter for tonight’s show.
Josh was nice, he tried anyway. He made jokes and small talk trying to get you to warm up to him again now that you knew his secret.
“Can I ask you a question?” You paused, removing your brush from Josh’s face while you waited for his response.
He nodded, looking up at you expectantly.
“You’re really fast, like REALLY fast,”
Josh nodded, amused.
“And Sam healed my wrist…”
“Ah, you want me to reveal my brother’s secret power?”
“Yeah, something like that.”
“Why don’t you just ask Jake?”
“Honestly, he scares me.”
Josh laughed fully at that, flashing you a toothy grin.
“What? Why is that funny? He could eat me you know!”
“So could I.”
“But you’re a vegetarian you won’t eat me, it would be against your moral code.”
“Evie It’s funny because he’s just as scared of you.”
“Why on earth would a vampire be afraid of a human?”
“You’re a test in control.”
There were multiple ways to interpret Josh’s statement, and you tried not to let yourself think that maybe you made Jake want to lose control in ways that didn’t only involve bloodlust.
“Ok one more question, just one I promise”
“Shoot”
“Does blood… do you like being a vegetarian? Does the animal blood taste..good?”
“Human blood tastes good. Really good. It’s addicting. It makes us stronger. Animal blood keeps me alive. I’m not as strong as Jake. And it definitely doesn’t taste as good. But I don’t want to hurt people.”
“And Jake?”
“He has his reasons”
“But you’re not going to tell me, are you”
“It’s not my stuff to share.”
————-
You started on Sam’s makeup next. You talked him into doing some good eyeliner to match Josh. He wasn’t really into it but they would look good together on stage.
“Do you think I’m stupid, for not leaving the tour?”
“Maybe, and maybe not.”
“I just figured if I left, you’d be worried that I’d tell people.”
“I think we trust you now, you didn’t tell Paige like we asked. Have you had a chance to talk to Danny or Jeff about any of this?”
“Not yet”
“You should, it’ll help I think, to have someone else who understands. It helped Jake to tell us in the beginning.”
“You weren’t all turned together?”
Sam hesitated, you could tell he hadn’t meant to say that and was calculating how to back track without you asking questions.
“It’s complicated, but no we weren’t turned together. That’s a story for another time”
You had assumed they had been turned together, that’s just what made sense. But this made you wonder if Jake had turned his brothers, and if he had, who had turned Jake? But the more you thought about it, the more you considered that Jake did seem to be in charge. Josh and Sam tended to defer to his requests. And from what you gathered, Jake’s diet made him stronger and more dangerous. He was the leader, and it made sense that he had turned his brothers.
When you made your way to Jake’s dressing room you paused outside his door. You were nervous to see him after the dream you’d had last night. You knew when you saw him it would all come back to you.
The feeling of his lips on yours, his hands gripping your waist firmly. The way he moaned softly as you took him in your mouth. Even the feeling of his fangs grazing against your bare thighs had turned you on rather than frightening you.
You opened the door to his dressing room, avoiding eye contact as you set your things down on the table.
“Your brothers have a coordinated gold look going on, so I think it would be nice to give you some gold too, maybe just some eyeliner.”
You continued sorting through your bags. Not looking over at Jake although you were keenly aware of his presence behind you.
“Ugh I can’t find my good gold liner, that’s fine we’ll use some eyeshadow and micellar water I can make it work.”
You paused when you felt Jake’s hand on your back.
“My god would you calm down. Your heart rate is through the roof. It makes it hard to focus on not eating you when all I can hear is your blood pumping.”
“Sorry.”
“What’s got you so worked up anyway. “
All of a sudden the words flew out of your mouth before you could stop them, the thought hadn’t even occurred to you until this moment.
“You can’t read minds can you?” You blurted out the sentence and then followed it up with a hand over your mouth.
Jake smirked at you but nodded his head no.
“Sorry um- Josh wouldn’t tell me what your ‘superpower’ was and I was thinking about it and then I just.. never mind. Let’s just get started.”
You turned around to grab a brush, and when you turned back Jake was gone.
“Jake?”
There was no response. He couldn’t have gotten out of the room that quickly, unless he was as fast as Josh.
Suddenly you felt someone pull your hair back over your shoulders. You whipped your head around, but no one was there.
“Jake??” You tried again with increasing desperation.
“I’m right here Evelyn.”
His voice came from directly in front of you, but there was no one there. He was invisible.
You reached out a hand tentatively, coming into contact with his invisible, but cold and solid form.
“There’s no way…”
You let out a little yelp as Jake lifted you up. You could feel his arms around your waist, but you couldn’t see any part of him. You caught your reflection in the mirror. It was like you were floating. You let out a small smile as Jake came back into view below you, setting you back down on the floor gently.
He sat back in his chair as you began his makeup, amazed that he had shared this with you.
“Okay, I answered your question, now you have to answer one of mine”
You knew there would be a catch.
“Technically, I didn’t ask you. I asked Josh, and you decided to show me anyway.”
“Why don’t you want me to read your mind? what are you thinking about Evelyn.”
“I am so not answering that! I agreed to nothing.”
“Ok suit yourself. I bet I can guess anyways.”
You stopped what you were doing to give Jake a quizzical look. “Oh yeah?”
Jake reached out one hand. Lifting your chin up and swiping his thumb along your lower lip.
“Yeah. I know.” He smirked, removing his hand and watching the blush spread across your cheeks.
You didn’t know what to say. You stared at Jake completely bewildered.
“Do you care if I have a drink?”
“Oh no why would I…” You paused when you saw him pull the blood bag out of the fridge, popping the top open and drinking it through a straw. Your stomach churned at the sight. You sat down quickly before you passed out.
“Sorry, it’s just, blood makes me a little woozy.”
Jake shrugged, waving the blood bag in front of you. “Well, better this than you.”
What an ass. He could be so sweet one moment and so rude the next. You closed your eyes bracing against the chair for support. You barely heard Jeff knock on the door.
“Who is it?” Jake grumbled, staying seated.
“It’s me.” Jeff already sounded annoyed by Jakes attitude
“Come in.”
Jeff opened the door and scanned the room, eyes falling on you as you sat motionless in your chair, eyes fluttered shut in an attempt to keep yourself from throwing up.
“I see Evie doesn’t take well to your diet.” Jeff said with a chuckle. “You okay Evie?”
“I’ll be fine in a second thanks.” You mumbled, eyes still shut.
“Listen Jake. It’s worse than we thought. We don’t have enough time. We’re going to have to take care of this latest job tonight after the show. I don’t need to remind you of what’s at stake.”
What’s at stake? This had to have something to do with the “business” they had to take care of last night. The business that Jake was so secretive about. Were they working for someone? Killing for someone? But what could be so dire, the boys are all but immortal. There had to be more to it.
“I told you I’d handle it Jeff”.
Jakes eyes flicked between you and Jeff, suggesting that he was actually worried about what you might hear or think.
Jeff seemed to pick up on the tension, nodding to Jake slightly.
“Ok well, I’ll let your brothers know. You take the stage in 10”.
Jake nodded tersely, his jaw set.
Jeff left, careful to close the door behind him while Jake still held the blood bag in his hand.
“You ready to finish my makeup or are you still gonna barf?”
“I’ve got it”
You rose slowly, but managed to get through the rest of Jake’s makeup without passing out. He was quiet, but you were so focused on what you were doing that you didn’t mind. Jake threw his suit jacket on over his bare torso, stopping briefly to look in the mirror before heading out of his dressing room.
“Jake-“
He paused. Sticking his head back through the door, one eyebrow raised in curiosity.
“Good luck”
You knew he probably didn’t need it for the show. He was a natural on stage. But something told you whatever he had to do later tonight was going to be a little different.
As it turns out, there’s an abundance of information about vampires on the internet. The problem is knowing what’s true. For one, sunlight didn’t seem to be an issue. The boys walked around at all hours of the day. They clearly showed up in photographs and mirrors, or Paige would be out of a job. You also couldn’t find any information about Josh’s sudden appearance and Sam’s apparent healing abilities. You had read some articles that claimed that a vampires blood can have healing properties, but Sam had healed you with just his touch.
What you really wanted to know was how to defend yourself, or even kill a vampire if necessary. There were the standard folklore repellents, garlic, holy water, a crucifix. You weren’t sure if any of these would work but decided it was worth a shot, making a mental note to pick up a clove of garlic next time you had a day off. Killing a vampire seemed to be one of three methods, or at times a combination of the three, fire, wooden steak to the heart, and beheading. Of course this required you to beat their superhuman strength and speed, and between the three of them you’d be toast.
Around 1 am you decided to get some sleep, but paused when you heard voices in the hallway. You crept up to the door to listen upon realizing it was the boys.
“Do you think she told Paige?”
“No. She doesn’t strike me as stupid.”
You picked out the second voice as Jake’s.
“Anyone who doesn’t take off running at the mention of vampires has to be at least a little stupid.”
You rolled your eyes at Sam’s comment but ultimately realized he was right. You probably could’ve run. You should’ve. But you didn’t.
“She didn’t run, I can hear her heart beating. She’s in her room.”
Your breath caught at Jake’s words, afraid to move. If he could hear your heartbeat, did he know you were right inside the door listening? You stayed as still as possible frozen against your hotel door.
You heard the sound of a hotel room door unlocking and Sam saying goodnight to Jake. You waited for a few minutes, listening for any indication that Jake was still in the hallway. When you decided the coast was clear you stood up, gently walking back towards your bed. A loud knock on the door nearly made you jump out of your skin.
“Jake?” Your voice came out sounding small in the dark hotel room. He didn’t answer, so you went back over to the door, looking out through the peep hole. Jake stood with his arms crossed, you noticed his shirt was ripped, but most striking were his eyes. Without his contacts in they were a blood red color.
“Are you going to open the door Evelyn?”
You paused, hand frozen on the door handle.
“I can hear you Evelyn”
You relented, opening the door and stepping aside. Jake walked into your room sitting on the edge of your bed. You crossed your arms over your chest defensively, suddenly keenly aware of the fact that you weren’t wearing a bra. You hated that that even crossed your mind standing in front of a vampire who could decide to kill you at any moment. For all you knew that’s why he was there.
“Where have you been?” You tried to make your voice sound confident, even if you weren’t. Although you knew your racing pulse probably gave you away.
“That’s none of your business. It’s better if you don’t know anyway. I just wanted to check on you.”
“To… check on me?”
“Yeah. “
“I’m fine.”
“You’re still afraid of me.”
“You’re a vampire. Who’s killed people.”
“True. But you know how to kill me.” Jake nodded towards your laptop. You had left it open, giving away your research. “I wouldn’t recommend trying though.” He stood from the edge of the bed, backing you against the wall. He bent his head down hovering right above your pulse point in your neck. “I’d have my fangs right here before you could even finish your thought.”
A full body shiver went up your spine. You raised your eyes to meet Jake’s, setting your jaw defiantly.
“If I had a wooden steak, I could kill you right now.” You whispered, placing your hand on his chest.
“I’d like to see you try.”
Jake’s face hovered millimeters away from yours, and for a second you thought he might kiss you. For a second, you wished he would.
“Goodnight Evelyn.” Jake backed away from you, and exited your hotel room, shutting the door behind him.
You stayed where you were, back against the wall, head spinning. Whatever it was you were feeling, it was going to be a problem.
———
You shot up in bed the next morning. You had dreamt about Jake again. This one was decidedly less scary, but you knew it was going to make you blush later.
The boys had a show tonight, and you were supposed to be at the venue by 2pm with Paige. It was currently 11am and Paige had invited you to meet her for brunch. You’d have to think up your most boring anecdotes to keep from letting yourself slip. You could only imagine how that would go ‘oh I love shopping, and by the way we work for vampires!!’.
Paige took you to a cute place a few streets over from the hotel. It was in an old tavern building, and the walls were covered with photographs both old and new.
“So what was Jake doing in your room last night?” Paige leaned in closer to you across the table, raising her eyebrows at you.
“What? How did you even-“
“I heard your door slam shut last night, when I looked out into the hall I saw Jake going back into his room.”
“Oh um he just wanted to check on me, after I passed out ya know. He was just being nice.”
“Mhm nice. And you’re blushing because?” Paige drew out the because one a sing song voice, pressing you for more information.
“Nothing happened I swear!” You crossed your arms and leaned back, still feeling the heat in your cheeks.
Paige kept her eyes on you, not accepting your answer, even though it was the truth. Nothing had happened. Not really.
“Okay okay fine. Nothing happened, BUT I may have had a dream about Jake.”
“A dream or a DREAM.” Paige said adding a wink for emphasis.
“I think you know the answer.” You sighed, staring into your coffee cup.
Paige chuckled, “Well you better get that blush in control before you have to go do his makeup later.”
The two of you fell silent for a moment, enjoying your food.
“Is there a grocery store around here?”
“Yeah just around the corner I think we passed it on the way. Why?”
“I just wanted to grab a few things to keep on the bus when we leave. I’ll just run in quick when we’re done here if you don’t mind.”
“Yeah sure whatever you need.”
You weren’t quite sure how you were going to pass off a head of garlic as a road trip snack, but you just hoped Paige wouldn’t notice. If Jake was going to make late night visits to your hotel rooms alone, you needed to be able to defend yourself.
Hey guys I know it’s been a while since I’ve updated bloodthirsty but I pinky promise I didn’t forget about you. Unfortunately I had a death in the family that I’ve been dealing with and then I went right into traveling for DIG shows. I am working on the next update and can’t wait to post it soon. Thanks for reading :)
Author’s Note- Hi Guys! Thank you for the nice comments on the last chapter. I know its been a little while since the last update but I didn’t forget about you! I am hoping to have another part out this week.
You woke up in a hotel room, but it wasn’t yours. At least not the same one you had been in this morning. It was dark in the room. You couldn’t see anyone else, but you got the feeling you weren’t alone. The last thing you remember was Josh entering the tour bus. He must have brought you here. You had accused him of being a vampire, and if that were true, you could be in danger.
“J-Josh?” You croaked out in a timid voice, eyes darting around in the darkness awaiting a response from the shadows.
It was not Josh who stepped forward to the edge of the bed, but Jake. Your heart rate quickened at the sight of him, unsure of what he was about to do. Laugh at you? Kill you?
“How are you feeling?”
You searched his face, trying to gauge if he was being sincere.
“Um, I’m okay, I’m fine.”
“What do you remember?”
“Um, Josh, I think Josh brought me here?”
“Before that Evelyn.”
You knew what he was asking. Did you remember that you had called Josh a vampire. If you admitted to it either he would think you were nuts, or if you were right about them, you suspected it could put you in danger. You decided to play dumb.
“I was on your bus, I was looking for my makeup brushes… I couldn’t find them.”
He stared at you blankly, he wasn’t buying your act, and honestly neither were you.
“That’s not what I’m asking, Evelyn. Let’s not play games. I need you to tell me what it is you think you know”
You swallowed, repositioning yourself on the bed.
“Well, I went into your tour bus to find my makeup brushes like I said, but that wasn’t what I found. I found your contacts. Easily a thousand of them. And then I was thinking why would you wear brown contacts unless you had something to hide. And you're all so cold. And Sammy, he healed my wrist didn't he? And you… did you kill that girl.. In the Alley?” You were rambling now, and your voice broke as you choked out your last few words “That’s why you're dangerous. You’re a vampire. You and your brothers.”
A silent tear rolled down your cheek as you stared down at the comforter.
“Look at me.” Jake's voice was demanding, but gentle.
You still didn’t know what all of this would mean for you, but you figured obedience was your best course of action. You lifted your eyes with the intention of meeting his, but stopped short at his mouth. His lips were slightly parted, unable to contain the sharp points of his…fangs. Despite the pit in your stomach, you couldn’t stop yourself from reaching out a tentative hand to touch them.
You were stopped by Jake’s hand on your wrist, markedly gentler than the last time.
“Rule number one of touring with vampires, don’t voluntarily put your limbs in my mouth. We wouldn’t want you getting hurt.”
You didn’t know what to say. You were right, and Jake had admitted it. The Kiszka brothers were vampires.
“I'm sure you have questions. We’re willing to answer some of them.”
“We?”
Jake nodded.
“C’mon in boys”
Sammy opened the door to the hotel room flooding the room with light, but Josh wasn’t there with him. You turned to ask Jake why he had said boys plural, but were stunned to find Josh standing behind Jake. He definitely hadn’t been there a second ago.
“Josh? How- how did you-”
“Don’t mind him.” Sammy’s voice cut in. “He likes to go for the shock factor.”
“So,” Josh began, plopping down on the bed next to you, “what do you want to know, Evie?”
“You, all of you, you're vampires?”
“Yes, but I think we’ve established that.” Jake confirmed.
“And um… are you- umm am I-”
“Relax Ev, we're not going to eat you for dinner, at least not Josh or I anyway. We’re vegetarians.” Sammy laughed at his own joke.
“Vegetarians.. As in.. what?”
“We don’t drink human blood, only animals.”
“And Jake? That girl in the Alley?”
“I do drink human blood. But I didn’t kill that one” Jake’s response was cold. Very matter of fact.
The way he said that one implied that he had killed other humans before. This must be why he was dangerous, why out of three vampire siblings you were told mainly to stay away from him.
“How old are you really?”
“We’re in our 20s just like you. We were only turned a few years ago. No cool history facts from us.” Josh smiled, clearly hoping to lighten the mood.
“And Paige, she doesn’t know?”
“No. And I'd suggest you keep it that way.” Jake snarled, flashing you his fangs again.
You swallowed, shooting him a nod.
“Danny and Jeff do know, though.” Sammy confirmed, shooting you an apologetic smile.
Jake rose to his feet, giving a nod to Josh and Sam.
“It’s time.”
“Time for what?”
“I told you I would answer some of your questions. Not all of them. We have business to attend to. You should go see Paige. I'm sure she's worried about you.”
Jake spoke with a sense of authority. Even though your head spun with a million questions, you kept your mouth shut and watched them exit the room. Once they were gone you turned the light on, realizing you had been sitting in the dark for the past hour or so. You found your phone sitting on the nightstand, your room key still in your back pocket. You made your way to the door, stopping to slide on your shoes that had been left at the foot of your bed.
The Kizskas are vampires. Vampires. You should probably be scared, but you felt more numb. You supposed if they wanted to kill you, they would have by now. Jake drank human blood. He had killed people. He had even killed that blonde for all you knew, he could have lied to you. And yet, the more about Jake you learned, the more he drew you in, the more curious you were. And where were they going off to anyway? What business did vampires have? Probably nothing good, but whatever it was, it seemed Jake was in charge.
When you got back to your hotel room, Paige was waiting for you. You assured her that you were fine. You had just fainted due to dehydration, and you were fine now. And yes, it was lucky that Josh came back early and spotted you. Ultimately you convinced her to leave, telling her you just wanted to shower and go to bed early. That wasn’t the truth. What you really wanted to do was research. Even if they said they weren’t going to hurt you, you had to know how to defend yourself. You needed to know all there was to know about vampires.
Your friends always told you you just hated Valentine's Day because you were alone. That once you found “the one” you'd find the holiday romantic. You insisted that you hated Valentine’s Day because of the commercialization and corniness of it all. Besides, you were never truly alone on Valentine’s Day. You and your best friend Josh had been throwing an anti-valentine’s party together every year for as long as you could remember. It always consisted of the two of you hanging out together, eating lots of food, and watching horror movies; what you had determined to be the opposite of a good rom com. There were only two rules for anti-valentine’s day, 1. No valentines chocolate and 2. No discussing your love life (or lack thereof).
You were especially looking forward to your anti-valentine's get together this year, as you had just gotten out of a relationship a few months prior. Things with Matt hadn’t ended well. You suspected he was cheating on you with his coworker, which he vehemently denied. However, not even a week later you had walked in on them together in bed. Needless to say, you weren’t really feeling the love in the air today.
When you got home from work you sent Josh a text to ask when he’d be over. You had already gotten yourself a bottle of wine, and some gin and grapefruit juice for Josh to make himself salty dogs. Josh would pick up Chinese food for you on his way to your apartment.
Josh had always been your best friend, and despite your female friend’s constant speculation, there was never anything romantic between the two of you or his brothers. Well, except that time he got dared to kiss you in the eighth grade. But that didn’t count. Even if it was your first kiss.
Your phone buzzed with a text from Josh, breaking you from your thoughts.
Josh: Hey anti-valentine ;) I come bearing egg rolls. Be there in 5.
You: I’ll leave the door open for you
By the time Josh arrived you had already had about half a bottle of wine. He let himself in, placing the takeout on your kitchen counter.
“Hey Joshy”
“Looks like someone got a head start” he said, nodding to the open bottle of wine.
“Maybe” you said with a wink, “Guess you better catch up”. You took out a glass, handing Josh the bottle of gin.
The two of you fixed plates for yourselves, getting comfy amongst the blankets on the couch. You decided to go for a classic, putting on The Shining, one of your favorites.
By the end of the movie, you had downed the entire bottle of wine. Your head had ended up on Josh’s lap, and he was running his fingers softly through your hair. You knew you should get up, but it felt nice.
“Matt used to play with my hair like this.” Oops. Had you said that out loud? The alcohol was definitely getting to you. “Shit sorry, guess I broke rule number 2.” you laughed at yourself, sitting up from Josh’s lap.
“It's okay” he paused for a moment, looking at you. “We can talk about it if you want. You don't really talk about him much, about what happened.”
“There’s not much to say. He cheated on me. That's all there is to it really. I should’ve realized it sooner. He was out of my league anyway, he was bound to find someone prettier.”
“What?” Josh looked at you in surprise. “Y/N you’re beautiful and he’s an idiot if he couldn’t see that.”
You didn’t know what to say, but found yourself blushing at Josh’s words. Why were you blushing at Josh calling you beautiful? He was your best friend, nothing more. At least that's what you told yourself as you reached out to grab his drink off the table, knocking the rest of it back. You watched him watch you as you did. His soft brown eyes sweeping over your body. He stuck out his tongue, wetting his lips. His fingers ran along his jawline, a nervous tick of his. So he was nervous, too. He felt the tension that had fallen over the room. You decided to change the subject before either of you did something stupid.
“Okay, I say no more being sad! That means we are legally required to have a dance party.” You stood up from the couch, reaching for Josh’s hand. You pulled up Spotify on your phone, putting on “New Romantics” by Taylor Swift. Josh would pretend to be annoyed in public, but he was a secret swiftie. You picked up the empty wine bottle, using it as a microphone as you sang along horribly.
You wound up dancing on top of your kitchen counter while Josh shook his head laughing at you. As the song came to a close, you sat on the edge of the counter, your legs dangling down. Josh came over, standing in front of you.
“I’ve missed seeing you smile like that.”
“Like what?” you replied, beaming up at him.
“Like you’re really happy. You haven't been the same lately.. since Matt.”
“You broke rule number 2 again.”
“I know.”
His hands now rested on either side of you on the counter. You weren’t sure why that made your heartbeat flutter. It was just Josh. But it wasn’t just Josh. It was Josh who drove you to school every day of senior year before you had your license. Josh who helped you move out of your dorm in the middle of the night when you had that crazy roommate. Josh who lent you his sweatshirts when you got cold, and brought coffee to your job if you told him you were tired. Josh who knew everything about you, even the parts you didn't like, and was still here. Josh, your best friend. But what if he was more? What if you wanted him to be more?
“Well, what about you?” you began, looking up to meet Josh’s eyes, “You haven’t really mentioned any girls in the last six months, not since you ended things with Lily. What happened between you guys anyway? You said she just up and broke up with you. There had to be a reason Josh.”
“Actually, I broke up with her.”
“Why, Josh?”
“You know why, Y/N”
“No, I don’t, you guys seemed good together.”
“The same reason I’ve broken up with every girl I’ve been with, or they broke up with me, because they could feel it too.”
“Feel what, Josh?”
“God Y/N! Everyone can see it but you! I’m in love with you, okay? I can’t date anyone else because I’m fucking in love with you. And I watch you go through these awful guys who don’t deserve you and I just-”
Your heart was beating out of your chest as you leaned in and kissed Josh, cutting him off before he started to ramble too badly. His lips were soft against yours, and you felt him relax into the kiss, relieved that you had made the first move. You allowed him to deepen the kiss, parting your lips for his tongue. You would expect kissing your best friend to feel weird, or wrong. But it didn’t. It felt right. Like Josh was who you were meant to be with all along.
Josh pulled away, smiling down at you.
“You have no idea how long I’ve been waiting to do that.”
“Hmmm, well technically you already have, eighth grade, remember?” You said with a wink.
“Of course I remember, and I’ve been waiting to do it again ever since.”
“And did it live up to your expectations?”
“Not sure, we’d better do it again to refresh my memory”
You laughed leaning in again. This time Josh kissed you with a passion and urgency that wasn’t there before, and you reciprocated, licking into each other's mouths as his hands hesitantly toyed with the bottom of your shirt. You reached down and pulled the shirt over your head for him, giving your best friend permission to touch you. Josh admired your breasts, running his thumb over your nipples through the fabric of your unlined bra. He met your eyes asking for silent permission to remove your bra as well, you nodded, turning so he could reach the clasp in the back. Josh sucked in a breath as your bra fell off your shoulders, exposing your breasts to him.
“You’re so fucking beautiful, Y/N”
Josh bent down, connecting his mouth to your nipple. You couldn’t tell if the blush in your cheeks was from his compliment, or from the fact that your best friend was swirling his tongue around your nipples. You suspected a bit of both.
“Josh, take me to bed”
He took you by surprise, lifting you off the counter and carrying you into your bedroom bridal style, laughing the whole way. It was refreshing to feel so comfortable and free even during such an intimate moment.
Josh set you down in front of your bed, and you used this as an opportunity to shimmy out of your pants and underwear, leaving you completely naked. You jumped up onto your bed, opening your legs for Josh. He was staring at you, blushing, but with a look of pure lust in his eyes.
“Joshy?” you drawled, your voice low “Come taste me.”
Josh let out what could only be described as a growl, falling to his knees at the foot of the bed. He pulled your ankles over his shoulders, positioning himself right at your center. He licked a stripe up your slit experimentally, gauging your reaction. You let out a breathy sigh, opening your legs even wider, wanting him to have full access to your body. Josh took this as an invitation to up the intensity, licking through your folds again before settling on your clit, sucking on it and rolling his tongue across it in a way that made your eyelids flutter shut. You wiggled your hips against his face, unable to sit still. Josh reached a hand up to your hips, holding you down forcefully.
You could feel your orgasm building, the fire growing in the pit of your stomach. At this point you were unable to control your moans as Josh continued to work at you with his tongue. You let sinful phrases drift off your tongue. You never knew your best friend was this good in bed, but you were glad you didnt have to go another day without feeling his touch. When you came, you came hard, your vision blacking out for a moment, Josh’s name falling from your mouth in a strangled moan. He ran his fingertips gently along your inner thigh in encouragement as you came down from your orgasm. You took in the view in front of you, Josh kneeling between your legs, his cheeky grin glistening with your slick.
You could also see the bulge in his pants, begging to be set free.
“Can I?” You sat up, gesturing to his pants.
Josh nodded, so you reached out, undoing his belt and removing his pants, and then his boxers. His cock was already dripping with precum. You leaned in, teasingly sucking it clean. Josh let out a moan, bucking his hips up further into your mouth.
“Not yet Josh, I need to feel you inside of me.”
You pushed Josh down onto the bed, and sat on his lap, straddling him. You leaned down to kiss him as you ground down onto him, completely bare. Your wet folds sliding over his erection. You wound your fingers into his hair, tugging lightly as you felt your second orgasm already building.
“Fuck” Josh whimpered into your neck, his hands gripping your waist firmly. “Please Y/N, let me feel you, I need to feel you”
You obliged, raising yourself up and lowering back down onto Josh’s dick. You paused for a moment, adjusting to his size before beginning to draw yourself up and down. You set as quick of a pace as you could handle, crying out as Josh hit your G spot each time you moved up off of him. You knew you were going to cum again, your legs were becoming shaky as your walls tightened around Josh. Sensing that you were about to lose control, Josh gently flipped you over off of him, taking control. He looked into your eyes, quickening his pace, snapping his hips into you rhythmically.
“Cum for me again Y/N, I want to see your pretty face this time.”
With that, you hit your second orgasm of the night, Josh’s praise spurring you on. You barely had time to recover before Josh’s voice cut through the fog in your mind.
“Where do you want me to cum, Y/N. I’m close”
“It’s okay, Josh, I’m on the pill. Cum for me, cum inside me.”
At your response, Josh buried himself fully in you, coating your walls as he reached his high. He pulled out of you, rolling off of your body. The two of you laid side by side, breathless for a moment. Josh reached out for you, pulling your naked body into his chest and pressing a kiss to your shoulder.
You felt so safe, so comfortable. It wasn’t even weird that you were lying in your best friend's arms completely naked. It felt like this was how it was supposed to be.
“I know there wasn’t technically a spoken rule against us sleeping together, but I feel like we might have violated the anti valentine’s day” Josh said with a smile.
“That’s ok, I’m actually kinda feeling in the holiday spirit. Josh, will you be my valentine?” You flashed him a genuine smile, butterflies building in your stomach.
You were back in the dark alleyway, only this time the blonde girl against the wall was you. It was like you were watching yourself in an out of body experience. Jake looked up, just as he had before. Only now, instead of lipstick, his face was covered in your blood. You turned to face yourself, screaming in terror. Jake calmly put a hand over your mouth silencing the version of you against the wall.
“What's wrong Evie? A little too dangerous for you?”
You shot awake, panting. The time on your phone read 3:47 am. You saw that you had an unread text from Sam.
Sam: Hey Evie, I just wanted to make sure Paige got you back okay. See you tomorrow :)
You pulled back the curtain on your bunk. Paige was fast asleep.
Evie: Hey… any chance youre still up?
You weren’t sure why you sent the text. You didn’t know what you would even do if he said yes. But some part of you wanted to see him. To talk to him about your dream. Somehow you knew he would understand in a way Paige wouldn’t.
Sam: Yeah, everything okay?
Evie: Yeah it’s fine.. Just a weird dream
You could see the three dots appearing and disappearing at the bottom of the screen as Sam typed a response, then stopped, and typed, and stopped. Suddenly you felt the tour bus come to a stop. You hadn’t even realized you were moving, but it made sense. There was a show in New Orleans the day after tomorrow. They had one night off to get in some interviews to promote their tour. You heard a knock on the door of the bus and got up to open the door. Sam stood on the other side, not looking anywhere near as sleep deprived and disheveled as you were sure you did.
“Hey” He said, sticking his hands in the pockets of his sweatpants. “I uh- asked the drivers to pull over so I could get on your bus”
“You didn’t have to do that, Sam”
“I know, but I did. So I’d appreciate if you’d let me in, not sure I wanna be standing on the side of the highway all night”
“Oh, duh, right, sorry.” You mumbled stepping aside so Sam could step onto the bus.
“So, tell me about this dream.” Sam said plopping down on the couch, looking at you expectantly.
“Well when Paige walked me out of the bar earlier, I saw Jake with that blonde girl in the alley”
Sam nodded, urging you to continue.
“Well I had this dream, where everything happened the same way, except when I looked in the alleyway it wasn’t the blonde from the bar, it was me. And when Jake looked up he was covered… in my blood. Dripping from his mouth like he was..”
“A Vampire?”
You raised your head to meet Sam’s eyes and saw that he was smirking at you, despite his serious tone.
“Yeah, a vampire. Look I know it was just a dream but it felt so real. Like that was how it really happened.”
“Evie, do you think maybe you're afraid of Jake, after what happened the other day, with your wrist?”
“I am afraid of Jake, I’m a little afraid of all of you. You have this… vibe that I just can’t shake”
“A vibe?” He looked at you quizzically.
“I don’t know, it’s more of a gut feeling”
Sam paused for a moment looking at you, before moving in closer, resting his forehead on yours. He placed his hand on your chest over your heart, you could feel his cold skin through your t-shirt. You drew in a breath, unsure of his next move.
“Does this scare you Evie?” He whispered. You could feel his breath against your face as he spoke.
You could feel the gravity between you, pulling you towards his lips. Even though his skin was cold, his lips were soft and inviting, urging you to give in. But you pushed past the feeling and pulled away, angling your body away from Sam on the couch.
“Sorry” you whispered back, running your hands along your arms.
Sam chuckled lightly, seemingly unsurprised at your reaction.
“Jake may scare you, but you have feelings for him too, don’t you Evie”
“How did you…” Was your curiosity about Jake that obvious? Both Samn and Paige had picked up on it already, and it had only been two days into the tour. If you wanted to push past this you would have to work at it.
“It's ok. I can do the whole friends thing.” He seemed like he was being sincere, even though you had just all but turned him down. “Just promise me you’ll be careful.”
“What’s that supposed to mean anyway? You're telling me to be careful, and earlier Jake told me he was too dangerous for me.”
“Just promise me.” Sam repeated, ignoring your question. You found that infuriating, but you gave in, promising to be careful with Sam’s brother.
You chatted with Sam a little while longer. While you found yourself growing tired, he seemed to stay interested and alert the whole time. You watched as he talked animatedly with his hands, rambling on about one subject or another. Around 5 am you knew you wouldn’t be able to stay awake much longer.
“Sammy?”
“Yeah Evie?”
“Will you sleep with me?” Sam raised his eyebrows at you causing you to self correct. “Just as friends I mean, you perv.” You laughed, shooting Sam a disapproving look. “I’m just afraid if I go back to sleep, I'll have another nightmare.”
“Yeah Evie, I’ll stay with you. It's not like I can go back to my own bus anyways”
“Oh right, sorry.” You gave him a grateful but apologetic smile.
Sam crawled into your bunk first, positioning himself so that you could crawl in after him and rest your head on his chest. You were so exhausted you fell asleep almost immediately, but not before noting that for the second time that day, you couldn't find Sam Kiszka’s heartbeat.
~~~
You woke up alone. You could see the sunlight flooding onto the bus through the curtain on your bed. You wondered when Sam had gotten up, and how he had made his escape without waking you. It had been nice to have someone hold you as you slept, but you felt good about your decision to keep Sam as a friend. You wanted to keep this tour professional, despite the pull you felt towards Jake. That meant not sleeping with your boss. Or bosses. Who also happen to be brothers. In a band together. Yikes.
You got out of bed to find Paige sitting on the couch. You eyed her suspiciously, unsure whether she had heard you and Sam talking last night, or if she had seen him leave this morning. But she just gave you an unassuming smile, looking up from her phone.
“Coffee?” She tilted her head in the direction of a half full pot, still warm.
You assumed now that she hadn’t seen or heard Sam. Otherwise she would have jumped right into the interrogation.
“We’ll be arriving in New Orleans in about a half hour.”
“Oh, I’d better get dressed then, I think we have to follow the boys right to an interview.”
“We don’t HAVE to go, it's just a radio interview so no makeup or cameras necessary for the morning, they’ll need us in the afternoon when they film the video interview sessions” Paige explained, taking a sip from her coffee.
The look on your face must have been a little forlorn, as Paige continued with a smile, “Don’t worry, you’ll see Jake later. This gives us time to pick out a kickass outfit for you.”
Dammit. Guess you had to work on your poker face, and masking how much you wanted to see Jake. It didn’t make any sense. He wasn’t particularly nice to you, he had hurt you, he was clearly interested in other girls, and all anyone did was warn you off him. And yet, you woke up thinking about Jake. This train of thought reminded you of your dream from the night before. The blood on Jake’s mouth. The mental image sent a chill down your spine. It felt so real it made you uneasy. It gave you the same gut feeling you had every time you interacted with the Kiszka brothers. There was no way that you had really seen that in the alleyway, blood dripping from his mouth. You knew that. Your subconscious was just grasping at straws, trying to prevent you from falling for your asshole rockstar boss with a scare tactic.
The hotel in New Orleans was nicer than you had anticipated. In retrospect it should have been expected when traveling with rockstars, but it was definitely nicer than you were used to. Also unexpected was you and Paige getting your own rooms for the next two nights. Paige had chatted with you all morning, sitting on the edge of your bed as you did your makeup in the mirror. You had picked out an outfit that Paige deemed “effortlessly sexy” though you weren't sure it looked so sexy. You had decided on flared jeans and a cropped led zeppelin band tee. Your hair was thrown up lazily in a claw clip. About 20 minutes before you had to meet the boys at their next interview, you realized you couldn’t find your big set of makeup brushes. You must have left them in one of the boys dressing rooms. You figured maybe one of them had grabbed it for you, and decided to check their bus. You told Paige that you would meet her in the lobby once she had all her equipment together, and headed out to the parking lot of the hotel.
It felt weird to go onto their tour bus uninvited, but you weren’t going to snoop, just trying to find your makeup brushes. You pushed open the door hesitantly, stepping onto the bus. It was surprisingly clean for the fact that 4 boys were living on it. You didn’t see your bag lying out on the table, so you decided to open the storage cabinets surrounding the living area. However, you were shocked to find that two of the three cabinets were full of colored contacts. Brown, non-prescription, colored contacts. You had been right the other day when you had noticed Sam wearing them. But why wear brown colored contacts? And why did they have so many? Were they all wearing them? Sam’s reaction when you had asked about them did seem cagey. But for the life of you you couldn’t understand what there could be that was so secret about their eye color that they had a whole stash of colored contacts. Unless their eyes were a different color. An inhuman color.
You slammed the cabinet shut, turning around and leaning your back against it. Your breathing picked up as your mind raced, mulling over everything you had seen in the last two days. How the Kiszka brothers were pale and cold. The uneasy feeling in your stomach when you were with them. How you hadn’t seen any of them eat. Sam’s lack of a heartbeat, and how he had seemingly healed your wrist. And now, a secret stash of colored contacts.
Jake warned you that he was dangerous.
You thought about the dream you had, and how real it had felt. What if it hadn’t been a dream. At least not entirely. You may not have been the girl in the alleyway, but what if the blood was real? You felt your stomach churn as you ran your sweaty palms over your knees in a repetitive motion.
It was at this moment that the door to the tour bus opened, and Josh saw you in a panic on the floor.
“Evie? What the hell!?”
Your vision was blurring as you turned your head in his direction.
“...vampire” you whispered.
You didn't get to see Josh’s reaction as your vision went completely black, falling unconscious.
Author’s Note: I started classes for my final semester of college recently, but I will try to update as often as I can. The next chapter is already in the works, sorry this one is on the shorter side but I wanted to get something out!
“You’ve got some explaining to do, start talking.” Paige said, plopping down on the couch in your shared tour bus.
You sighed, settling in next to her, not knowing where to begin. The beginning you supposed. You gently pulled up the sleeve of your top, showing your now painless bruise to Paige.
“What the hell!? Where did that come from??”
“I ran into Jake in the hallway last night. He was trying to talk to me, trying to be nice- I think. I tried to walk away and he stopped me. I don’t think he meant to hurt me. I talked to him about it today and he seemed sorry about it, like he didn’t even realize he had grabbed me that hard.”
Paige nodded, gesturing for you to continue.
“Then he told me that he wouldn’t be good for a girl like me. I asked him what he meant by that and he said I was too good, but that he was dangerous.”
“But you still have feelings for him?”
You nodded, your shoulders dropping.
“Don’t worry about that though, I just saw him making out with that blonde groupie in the alley”
“Oh.” Paige said, giving you a sympathetic smile “And Sam?”
“We um… kissed a little”
“And?? What was it like??”
“Well it was nice.. Until…” you trailed off, unsure of how to phrase your next sentence without sounding crazy.
“What?” Paige sounded concerned “He didn’t get too handsy did he? I swear to god I’ll kill that boy I-”
“No No, that's not it” You shook your head, cutting Paige off. “I just, okay I promise I’m not crazy, I was kissing his neck and it was like.. He has no pulse.”
Paige snorted at you incredulously.
“What, like, he was dead? You probably just couldn’t feel it or something.”
“It’s not just that,” You insisted “He saw my arm, what Jake did to me, and it’s like he took the pain away.” You held out your bruised wrist and pressed down on it, hard.
Paige watched you, wincing, until she realized you were completely straight faced.
“It- It doesn’t hurt? How? That looks like a pretty gnarly bruise.”
“It did hurt, until Sam touched my wrist. I know how it sounds but he somehow took the pain away, I know he did.”
Paige just stared at you for a minute. She seemed to be at a loss for words. You knew how you sounded. You couldn’t make sense of any of it yourself. What were you insinuating anyways? That the Kiszka brothers were magic? Undead? This was real life, not some fantasy novel. There had to be some rational explanation for it all. You just didn't know what it was.
“I don’t know Evie, I’ve known the Kiszkas for a while. They can be odd at times but they're just normal guys.” Paige said, shrugging.
You nodded in agreement, even though your mind was still spinning.
“Maybe we should get some rest now, you had a lot to drink.” Paige said, turning to face you “But don’t think we’re done talking about your love life, I’m circling back to that kiss with Sam later!” She continued in a singsong heading for the bathroom to get ready for the night.
You leaned back against the couch, sighing. As you turned to look out the window you could have sworn you saw Jake in the dark, but you decided that your tired mind was just playing tricks on you despite the uneasy feeling growing in the pit of your stomach.
*** JAKE’S POV***
You internally cursed as your eyes met Evie’s in the alleyway. She stood staring at you, paralyzed, as blood ran down your chin. You weren’t sure how much she could see in the darkness, but you could see her face clearly. She didn’t seem to be scared of you, but she seemed… upset? You couldn’t quite place her expression. She turned on her heels at the sound of Paige’s voice, pausing for another moment before hurrying down the main road.
Based on her reaction you didn’t think she knew what you were doing, she hadn’t seen the blood. But you had to know for sure. You would be able to listen in on her conversation with Paige from outside the tour bus. That should help you gauge how bad this really was. You turned back to the blonde girl, limp beneath your touch. She wasn’t dead. Yet. You probably would have finished her off if Evie hadn’t interrupted, but now it seemed like a chore more than anything else. You stared into the blonde’s tear filled eyes which had only twenty minutes ago been full of lust. Unfortunately that wasn’t the kind of hunger you needed to satiate.
“It's your lucky day blondie,” you whispered cooly in her ear “I'm not going to kill you, but if you go running your mouth, I promise you’ll be seeing me again.” She nodded furiously, and sank to the ground, crying in the alleyway.
As you got closer to the tour bus you could hear Paige and Evie talking. It didn't seem like they were talking about you, in fact you were almost certain they were talking about Sam.
“We umm… kissed a little” You heard Evie’s voice loud and clear.
You huffed in annoyance. So Sam hadn’t been fabricating the details of his encounter with Evie earlier. You really did drive her right into Sam’s arms. Not that it mattered anyway. She could never be yours, lest she wind up like the blonde in the alley.
“... it was like.. He has no pulse.”
That cut through your thoughts as you started to tune back into the conversation. Evie was just as observant as you feared. That wasn’t a good thing for you or for her. Luckily Paige seemed to be talking her down, despite her display with her recently healed bruise, also courtesy of Sam. You really had to remind your brother to be more careful around humans. He really had a soft spot for them, and he wielded his healing powers too generously.
You could see Evie through the window, her long hair draped over the edge of the couch. Paige was getting up to leave the room, leaving you with a full view of just Evie. Almost as if she sensed your presence she turned and looked out the window. You quickly turned yourself invisible, something you probably should have done from the beginning. You think she might have seen you based on the way she peered out into the darkness with a purpose, but she would never be able to prove it.
You stepped onto your own tour bus, heading back into your bedroom. You knew Evie was too fragile, too human. So why couldn’t you seem to shake her from your mind?
