Israel has closed all crossings.

Amjad Al-Shawa, a Palestinian aid leader in Gaza estimated fuel supplies could last three or four days, while stocks of vegetables, flour, and other essentials could also soon run out if the crossings remain shut.

My friend Ahmed is extremely malnourished to the point of anemia and fainting. His family has struggled to afford the high costs of survival through the winter, and the recent closures have sent costs of food and medicine skyrocketing. I am afraid he will starve to death.

Gaza is entirely dependent on fuel brought in by trucks, so this closure puts hospital operations at risk. How will he and his family receive emergency healthcare when the hospitals have no power?

BREAKING: GLOBAL SUMUD FLOTILLA INTERCEPTED BY ISRAELI NAVAL FORCES

October 1, 2025

On Wednesday, 1 October 2025 at around 8:30 pm Gaza time, multiple vessels of Global Sumud Flotilla-notibly Alma, Surius, Adara--were illegally intercepted and boarded by Israeli Occupation Forces in international waters. Prior to illegally boarding the ships, it appears as though the Israeli naval vessels intentionally damaged ship communications, in an attempt to block distress signals and stop the live-stream of their illegal boat boarding. In addition to the boats confirmed to be intercepted, live-stream coverage and communication has been lost with multiple other boats. We are diligently working to account for all participants and crew. We wil share updates as soon as we have confirmed information about the status of boats, detentions, injuries and potential casualties.

This is an illegal attack on unarmed humanitarians in international waters. We call on governments, world leaders, and international institutions to demand the safety and release of all on board and continue to monitor this situation closely.

Despite interception of a few vessels, the Global Sumud Flotilla is 70 na utical miles away from the Gaza coastline and will continue undeterred.

An upsetting amount of people have been accusing my friends of being scammers. It fills me with so much sadness that beyond the constant physical threat of bombs and bullets, people internationally threaten their ability to even call out for help by attempting to label them as liars.

Mohammed, his daughter Mona, and their whole family, have been trapped in Gaza for the entirety of the two year onslaught.

The UN has only recently declared it a genocide due to the ground invasion currently happening in Gaza.

I can provide you no more definitive proof of the validity of their identity, and their status, than Mona holding up my name in front of their tent.

Y'know I had fun with wplace for a few hours making art and stuff but then I learned about the transmisogynist hate campaign an ex-mod has been put through and I kinda don't wanna touch it with a 10 foot pole anymore

For context! If you don't know, WPlace is a website with the same premise as Reddit's r/place, but done in an entire map of the world.

At one point some Spanish streamer decided to cover the entire country of Andorra with black and purple pixels because it was his brand. This of course covered existing artwork so a tgirl mod started banning the griefers for breaking the rules.

The streamer's fans, seeing this, rallied against her by harassing her intensely and doxxing her, all to the point she attempted suicide. The mods responded to this by kicking her off the mod team, apologizing to the streamer and gifting his fans 5000 droplets (pixels to color).

Of course this caused intense backlash among its community, so the mod team wrote a response where they spouted countless lies about her, like saying she was actually banned for vandalizing artworks, threatened to sue the website and that her suicide attempt was faked for attention. She was banned from the Discord server where this statement was put in beforehand so she didn't have a chance to defend herself.
