TCAF’s over, here’s Sex Fantasy 6.

I picked up a lot of great books (and pins & things) and met new people, spent time with friends, it was a wonderful fest, thanks to everyone who was warm and welcoming. Shortly before the weekend I participated in a reading for the launch of Lovers Only #1, in which I have a short comic about teen romance – along with Cathy G. Johnson and Mickey Zacchilli.

Hello everyone.. I am sorry for the barrage / I am sorry for remaking my shops post.. but I miscalculated how much my severance would be / they did not take my w-8 ben into account which meant I will pay taxes both in the philippines and the US.. I was left with almost nothing... I am the sole caretaker of a family of four in the global south.. I have a job lined up but theyll only start paying in two months if they like my work.. I am posting again because I have a life limiting disability which puts my life at risk if I am not medicated (I do not have a thyroid and need to be on synthetic thyroid hrmones.) I also have diabetes which is so close to remission.. under my care is my mothwr who is not independent and has a brain injury from sepsis.. and my sister, our two beautiful cats.. I do not have any other family who will help outside of my partner.. my only other family who are willing to help are incapable of.. Made this bc I have been trying to take meds only every other day- I take metformin twice a day, liver supplements and levothyroxine. It did not work, I knew it wouldnt; but I did it as a sort of hail mary. I feel very weak, upset, and cognitively impaired.

PH givernment insurance only gives out 328 usd a year, which should be fine but my mother has a brain injury from sepsis / liver failure, which eats up so much of my income, as I am her sole caretaker. Would appreciate any share! Everything goes to my meds and my fanily's healthcare. I swear to G-d when I am in a better position I will repay the community. Struggling through half a dozen abortive posts to explain this so just the thesis: I think that an inability to imagine yourself adapting to and maybe even finding satisfaction in a wide array of living situations weakens your ability to make decisions about your life. The Pax Silica initaitive is a joint plan involving the participants such as the UK, US, Israel, the EU to secure rare earth minerals for the silicon supply chain. This plan will involve opening up huge swaths of the island of Luzon to mining and special economic zones, displacing farming communities and threatening the food and water security of thousands.

To be clear, this is NOT a data center, this is rare earth metal extraction and manufacturing, particularly silicon. I'd actually argue that's worse because a single data center can cause a lot of harm but it can be shut down. Meanwhile, rare earth extraction could cause lasting damage including pollution of water, air and land, and habitat destruction.

This disability pride month has been extremely hard for me.

It has just been a reminder that the medical system would rather I die, then to try to get me treatment. It is a reminder that they have given up & do not want me to live.

It has been seeing white disabled people get all the treatment & resources while black and brown disabled people are left behind.

It's been eugenics and the threat of losing ADA & bringing back institutions.

People would rather pretend life with several diseases, parasites, viral infections, unclean air that we can't breathe is normal rather than wear a mask and do something about it. Every abled person is letting us all die and watching, just like the beginning of Covid too.

I have not felt any pride or joy. I have not felt accepted in a community, i don't have community care or access to the resources other disabled people do.

I have felt shame, anger, frustration, jealous, depressed and other negative emotions. I feel hopeless.

People follow me for my art, but would you care about my art if I become so disabled I no longer can make it? If I waste away in bed because I can't get up and have no caregiver, or resources?

I am just another faceless nobody. A disabled person slipping through the cracks of the system that will never be here for me.

People tell me to stay strong but have no idea how hard it is to live for a day in my body

I am tired.

I have only 18$ in my bank account because of some mental health struggles of my partner (going in & out of residential and hospital treatment).

Wildfires in northern Ontario force First Nations to flee

Several wildfires are forcing members of a number of First Nations to flee their homes in northern Ontario.

“I had time to run home and pack a bag and get to the beach where the boats were waiting,” said a member of Namaygoosisagagun First Nation (Collins). “We literally had minutes to get on the boats and flee before it took our town. “Once we left my house finally after packing what I could in a pack sack, the fire was right behind our place. We had to run to the beach and once we got there, it was only moments before the fire had jumped over the (train) track and was coming for us.”
