@raddagher-on-cams
hi.
I don't know why I'm even making this account.
I work in surveillance.
That's it.
ummm Dr edmund Harley?? OR AGENT LOVE!!! for the doodles
from scp find us alive
One Agent Nari Love, ft. Dumptruck
Hi so I don't normally write fanfic, I leave that to the people who are actually good at it (like my girlfriend) but yeah guess you could say I'm inspired? (I love my girlfriend and I miss my girlfriend and all I think about is my girlfriend)
Anyways um this is fluff, raddlove, reader raddagher, mention of loves surgery, yeah idk how to tag shit, I will never write a fic again probably cause I am not good at this.
By the Light of the Screens
It was an odd pairing you and your girlfriend. To many people it made no sense. You were quiet, closed off most of the time, had interests that meant a lot to you but did anyone ever know them. Your girlfriend was much more outwardly passionate, she wore her heart on her sleeve, but she kept it quiet low out of fear. But that's exactly why it worked: you were each other's safe place.
The site rumored of your odd pairing. Most people couldn't understand how you too shared anything in common, but you never believed that was all that important. You preferred to listen to others after all, especially when they were as passionate at little things like your girlfriend was.
Your friends were caught off guard as well. Lancaster had a hard time understanding how it worked out so well, Harley somehow had no words, and Klein was a mix of keeping you from hurting each other and making jokes with heavy inuendos. They loved to poke fun at how close you too were, but they never let that get between the friendship.
The nice thing about your role in the site, which your girlfriend found herself building her own life off of, was that you got a quiet room all to yourself. It was a bit small but they didn't matter considering the two of you had no need for personal space. Your two office chairs stood side by side. Arm rests pressed together though they were disregarded to hold hands across the divide. You never imagined finding someone who you didn't mind holding hands with. You never imagined being able to look over and see a beautiful girl say next to you illuminated by the light of the monitors in the dark room.
"I love you" you mumbled in a tone that the words were nearly unintelligible, but your amazing girlfriend always knew. She knew cause she was thinking it too. A smile spread across her face as she turned to catch you staring. "I love you too" she responded through a giggle. She leaned her head across the gap pressing a kiss in your cheek and resting her head on your shoulder.
She stayed like that for a minute before sitting back up with a groan. "Sorry... Still hurts." You just nodded slightly as a look of concern flooded your face. You hated that you couldn't take the pain away. It had been a while since the surgery, but the site of the operation still hurt with pressure. Curse these chairs being too wide to feel close, yet too small to share. "Sorry..." You whispered. "Nah. It's okay. It feels better most times." You nodded remembering how much it hurt before. "Wish these chairs weren't built so dumb," your girlfriend continued, "we should invest in like a small couch- loveseat whatever it's called I don't know." "I don't know if that would fit." You said giggling to your girlfriends excitement. "Yeah... Probably."
You sat in the quiet again, staring at the screens, flipping from camera feed to camera feed. Nothing was happening, and as much that was probably a good thing it was also boring. You sighed as you glanced to the corner where the sleeping bag and pillows were kept. You once used them to sleep alone in the office, but now you perfered to use them to cuddle with your girlfriend. The floor was hard but a few layers of blankets and pillows it was comfortable enough.
As you turned back to your girlfriend you worked up the courage to ask, "we could cuddle on the floor? There not much happening and if they need us they can radio but I highly doubt they will we're a while from a reset so ther-" the second part came out much more rambling than the first. Your girlfriend cut you off with a giggle and squeeze of your hand. "yes" she said much more simply as she stood. "Oh okay! Yeah!" You replied smiling and standing with her. She pulled you slightly to the empty side of the office and handed you the blankets.
You let go of her hand for just a moment as you laid out the blankets and pillows. You sat down first and looked up to your girlfriend expectantly as she sat down resting her body on your side. You wrapped your arms around her and breathed deeply loving how safe you felt with her in your arms. You pressed a kiss in her hair and muttered "I love you" once more into her hair.
There you lay on the floor of the office, wrapped in each other's arms, breathing as one, in the dim light of the computer screens.
I'm surrounded by idiots.

I was walking to school today and...
there's just a potato????
@dumptruck-the-potato
HOW DID YOU GET OUT BOY?
airstrike guy again. ok, so. what if I don't leave? I won't bug you or anything. I'll stop talking if you want. I just don't have anywhere else to be. Or any way to get anywhere.
mmmgh.
Does who even are you?
Don't you have a department or something?
*as they settle into the corner of your room - essentially inviting themselves in - you come to realize something. This is straight up just a sentient jar. Not a dash-two as far as you can tell, and it doesn't resemble any anomaly you've heard of either. Just a mason jar with glasses.* No, I don't have a department. I don't think?... I get the feeling you want me to be quiet, huh?
*Raddagher turns and blankly stares at the jar. It's not her first experience with oddly sentient items.*
*they gape slightly before letting a slight groan out*
You weren't in containment before right? I would have seen you. Where did you come from?
*The sentient jar ponders for a few seconds. It's glasses shift slightly as it thinks.* Eh.. some white void? Probably another plane or something.. purgatory, maybe? I dunno! Just a big, white, empty space. *The glasses on its "face" shift slightly as it notices Martin - the wet sopping cat you just so happen to have.* What's that thing's deal?
its a cat.
*she says with, well, unblinking stare but no one would see that through the dark shades. They sit and stare at this thing in complete silence for a few moments.*
What is your deal?
Fair point - and valid question, I suppose. The only issue is that I have no idea... *The jar begins to pace around your desk, their glass body obstructing the screens of the cameras - as though the glass were opaque rather than transparent. There's no apparent way to tell how they're moving, either - they just are.* I'm just kind of.. a sentient mason jar, I guess. With glasses. And Autism - if that part was ever important to you. *He stares at you for a few odd seconds.* I like your outfit, by the way!
*raddagher stares. They aren't sure what to be more shocked about: talking to a walking talking jar or the fact that it complemented her "outfit". It was merely just uniform.*
"... It's just the site issued uniform"
*sure no one else wore it as consistently as her. Sure she included the hat, sunglasses and mask. But it wasn't anything special.*
Well I like it anyway! Plus, I don't think the "site" - whatever in the hells that may be - issues sunglases, a hat, and mash as part of your uniform. Unless they do? *The glasses on the jar turn over to face the screens representing camera footage, and he studies them intently.* Hm... so there's other people here? Do you think I'll be able to meet them? *The glasses turn to look at you. While you definitely shouldn't be able to make out a facial expression from it - he almost looks hopeful.*
*they glance between the screens and the jar. Something about this jar, other than the fact that it is a fully sentient jar, weirds them out.*
You're going to meet containment.
*His glasses shift diagonally - almost as if to represent cocking an eyebrow. He seems genuinely curious now.* Who's that? Sounds... foreboding.
It's a department. they are in charge of containment. They contain anomalies and threats.
*she says incredibly dryly. As if she didn't care that she basically called it a threat despite the fact that it hasn't done anything except ask questions.*
So you think I'm one of those? *He takes a cautious "step" backward - and by step, I mean he literally just slides backward by like an inch.* I mean - anomaly, sure... but I don't think I'm threatening. Pretty much all I've done is just sit here and be myself. *The glasses shift to stare directly into her eyes.* Unless you want me to be a threat?
best to be safe.
*They do take notes that it hasn't actually done anything. But she definitely doesn't want it to become something.*
What are you doing here?
I've told you, I've got no idea. I just.. happened to come here. Somehow. A lot of the details are fuzzy - and I know what you're thinking. "Wow, that's some convenient amnesia". And yes, it is. *He somehow makes a sighing sound - again, not obvious where it actually comes from.* Look, if you want me to leave, I... I can find some way out, probably. Back to whatever hellhole I came from. If that's what you want... I'll leave you alone. And whoever else may be here, too. *He seems a bit solemn. You could venture a guess and say he hasn't actually interacted with anyone in a pretty long time. And by a pretty long time - eh, more like a VERY long time.*
fine. You can stay. don't touch anything. I have work.
*she sights making a mental note of all the details before turning back to the monitors and staring. She thinks about dumptruck and hiway and how love tested them. But this is slightly different.*
... Okay. *He stays quiet for at least a solid hour. He glances at the monitors every now and then, following your gaze - he sees Harley. He sees Lancaster. He sees Klein. He sees the botany crew. He sees containment. But most importantly - the one your gaze seems to linger on (and sometimes shy away from) the most - Agent Nari Love. He makes no comment, but notes that she seems.. important.* ..... Thank you. *He mutters that and nothing more. The minutes and hours pass silently after that.*
mhm.
*it's the only response she gives. from the outside eye this probably looks like the most boring job ever. Probably is. But it's hers so she doesn't complain.*
*she thinks about who she should tell about their new .... Anomaly.... And in the process turns to stare at the jar again. Maybe Klein? Harley? Love? She knows it's protocol to go to containment, but she knows what they do.*
*He notices Raddagher looking at him. For a while.* ... you're staring. Did you have a question, or.. just taking this in? *His voice sounds exasperated somehow. He stares back at you, but not with that same fire from earlier, when he first appeared in your office... but that's not to say there isn't a fire. There's just a new, different fire. One you can't quite discern.*
"I. Mmmgh. I don't know."
*he can tell she's analyzing everything she can about you. Every habit, every minor difference in attitude.*
"I don't know what to do with you."
That's.... fair. I guess I'm pretty weird, huh..? *he looks back at the cameras.* This place is pretty weird too, though. All these people... talking to each other, having fun - well, some aren't having fun, actually.. some seem pissed. Or sad... humans have always confused me. *He stares intently at Dr. Harley in his office.* Hey.. that guy's all alone. Just like you.
*they turn back to their monitors following the gaze of the glasses. Her eyes spotting Harley sitting in his office as always. They also think about how before the shift not many people talked to each other. Everyone kept to themselves.*
That's Harley. He's the communications department.
He is the communications department? *He looks back at Raddagher, both confused and somewhat intrigued. Clearly he hasn't talked to anyone much, let alone anyone of the human species.* Don't you mean part of the communications department? *Oh, how little this jar knows....*
"no."
*Raddagher hardly counts as a good conversation with their dry responses and flat affect. It's possible that the jar would assume that it was a sign of dislike but that's simply how she is.*
"Harley is the only person in communications."
.. Damn. *He goes back to staring at Harley, since there's not much else to do other than stare at shit in Raddagher's office.* I gotta ask - do you sound pissed off intentionally? Because I can't tell. If I did something wrong, I mean...
"I'm not."
*which honestly doesn't clear much up come to think of it. But they notice how the jar seems very fixated on Harley.*
"Do you want to meet him?"
EH-
*The jar jumps slightly at your question, caught between surprise and excitement.*
I- I mean, if you’re fine with that…? I… yeah. I mean, I wouldn’t mind meeting him.
*they make note of their reactions.*
"Harley's a friend."
*she turns her chair over to her radio and tunes to Harley's channel. It's interesting to be able to watch him through the cameras and hear him now.
"Harley? Could you come see something?"
(@komunykesyons-deprtmnt-ed)
On the camera, Raddagher can see that she has, in fact, startled Harley, since the grainy, video footage shows Harley jolting a bit before picking up his walkie.
“-h Hi, Raddagher! I’ll come up soon, just - finishing something up real quick. Yeah.”
He is lying, as the cameras prove. Instead, he is in the middle of minesweeper. At least let him finish?.. or not… awh shit he died. The camera shows him sighing before he stands, leaving his office and heading towards Surveillance.
"okay."
*they reply and continue watching the cams following Harley through the halls. Until he gets to surveillance. He sure takes his sweet time. She's lucky it wasn't urgent. Finally he knocks on the door and raddagher invites him in only slightly turning to keep the jar in her line of sight.*
"hi Harley."
(@alchemychaos)
Even on the cameras, the pair can see that he pauses every once in a while before he continues his journey to Surveillance. Eventually, he is outside, and walks in when Raddagher lets him in.
“Hello Raddagher.”
He seems a tad uneasy, since, well, he has no idea what is going in right now.
“Soo… what did you want me to see?”
He smiles awkwardly, leaning against the doorway.
Er... I think she wanted you to see me. *The jar slowly peeks out from behind Raddagher.* It's.. Harley, right? I uh- I kinda picked it up... *He'd probably be holding a hand out right now for you to shake, if he ever happened to have hands. He doesn't, though :/* I'm Jar. No last name, no special nickname - literally just Jar.
*Raddagher just stares at Harley. She isn't really sure what to say either. They didn't even know it's name was jar.*
Yes. That.
@komunykesyons-deprtmnt-ed
Harley looks absolutely horrified at the sentient jar for.. whatever reason, but he tries to be hospitable regardless of his… view? on the matter.
“.hello!- uh, Jar! Yeah- I, uh, I’m Harley… I’m assuming Raddagher told you?”
He smiles awkwardly, glancing towards Raddagher in confusion.
What, that you are the communications department? Or something else? Because she told me to communications bit. *The jar seems to notice Harley's nervousness, but doesn't question it. Right until he does.* You look nervous. Why? Not like I'm gonna hurt you or something.
*Raddagher slightly nudges the other chair in the office, traditionally Love's chair, outward in a nonverbal, subtle office for Harley to sit down. They could care less if they were sitting or standing. She just wants him to come inside and shut the door. Otherwise, raddagher offers no consolation to Harley's confusion just staring between the two of them and a few of the monitors still in her line of sight.*

(@alchemychaos)
airstrike guy again. ok, so. what if I don't leave?
*offers a small toque *
It's getting cold
*squish*
airstrike guy again. ok, so. what if I don't leave?
