finally posting my valenwind fanart... here's some domestic OG valenwind (I havent played remakes yet lol) so cute... so cute... so cute...

fun facts about my process on this + some headcanons below the cut if yall wanna take a looksie into my brain:
- the dialogue for this was originally going to be banter between vincent and cid, vincent playfully asking what poison he's making this time and cid being all petulant and sulky because the twist of it is that he undercooked the bacon last time and gave vincent food poisoning 😭 but I wasnt sure how to write it and keep it in-character (I need to replay the game again), so I kept it simple
- cid seems like the kind of guy to hold onto an old shirt for years and years because he got attached to it, so this white sleep shirt has been through the wringer. it's got oil stains, dirt stains, been eaten by moths, survived a Vincident (somebody got a little too rowdy), and is no longer white but off-white and slightly yellowed by time
- vincent is wearing a v neck shirt, I like to imagine he's more comfortable showing skin around cid, not enough to totally ditch the long sleeves but enough to open up a little more
- their rings are made out of each other's signature metals (vincent's goldish-colored claw, cid's silvery dog tags/spear). vincent wears his on his right hand instead of his left because of the gauntlet
- this drawing was originally made flipped to the other side, but when I was making the pose in a 3D model poser site I completely forgot cid was left-handed and had to panic flip it. in a way it worked out because I didnt have to draw that gauntlet anymore Lol
- the drawing was also longer. I got so frustrated with the right hand it no longer exists anymore
- there's not much thought behind cid's scars beyond what I think would be likely locations for someone to get jabbed/scraped, he's definitely a bit banged up like vincent but less from battle/H*jo and moreso just accidentally hurting himself while fixing/building stuff
- I was looking at pictures of cid's house for this and holy shit I cant tell if it's part of the counter/metal design or not but those appliances need to be SCRUBBED DOWN. the background is very half-assed because Why are you staring at the stove instead of the hot male lovers?! I made the background intentionally paler on purpose for better contrast
- the lighting you see there was last minute like just before the signature was put on last minute, I definitely didnt want to shade this piece but it felt a little flat so I just did a little boop with the airbrush and it was good enough

sooooo had an idea to motivate myself to post my art more, esp for non-fandom or smg4 related, i thought why not just do a mass uploads of artworks i've done all in one :) yay :)
i swear it's not even that im not drawing or dead, i draw daily just unfortunately most of it are commissions, week long private projects, or small miscellaneous pieces/sketches. so to be sure ya'll are fed with something if you're not in my discord server (which u should totally join btw blinks blinks) imma try at least every month to post what i've completed throughout the range of a month
