To elaborate my thoughts on matching things up here, I put some characters who are in more than one pairing a lot closer together so that it feels like they're not really dominating the bracket, but I also tried to weigh out how popular all the ships generally are so that there's not any matchups that feel downright unfair (hopefully)

Anywho, with all that announced, Bracket starts tomorrow at noon (12/15/23, 12PM EST)! I'm thinking of posting the polls 1 every day and having them at 1 week long so that it's more staggered out but not like waiting a whole week for every individual match up (I've been doing that on a different poll blog and I like it that way).

Rose is autistic! Idk, the way Rose just can't seem to connect with people in the way her brother can, to the point of wondering if she's been "broken" by her curse feels...sadly relatable. She seems to go nonverbal a few times, too.

You didn't give me a character for this one, so I'll go with Etienne. She's a really serious character and I don't think we see her genuinely laugh once, but I think Madame Spiceberry can make her laugh by just completely catching her off guard, like she does with some of the other characters. I also think she and Currant have the same sense of humor (I think he's funny, even if the main trio doesn't like his wordplay <3)

Aquamarine lore established so far: Canon lesbian fish girl who's a background character around in Book 1. She's the kind of character who hides her feelings through comedy.

Ianthe lore established so far: One of Madame Spiceberry's love interests, though it seems like they break things off at some point in the series. In her time with Madame Spiceberry, she would tell fairy tales to kids staying at the inn. She's also described as having Southeast Asian features, and chronic headaches
