Buildings are not enough is the philosophy behind the Tblisi Biennal Architecture which took place last november. How to preserve a city marked by incoherent urban planning, framed among a cultural and historical heritage and an uncontrolled development? Participants to the Biennal embraced the architecture anarchy they were surrounded by, bringing a roman Basilica in a courtyard as a termorary playground, building guerrilla structures into existing building and taking over Industrial Technicum Theatre to support those living inside. “One of the biggest failings of the country is the loss of all the public buildings in the city” ©dezeen.com, Stefan Rusu, Angus Leadley Brown, Guram Kapanadze, Sera Dzneladze, Tako Robakidze
