In case anyone was wondering what I've been doing this entire time... I've been making lace samples. Well, there are, of course, some flaws in them, but I was aiming not for perfection but for practicing elements I've never encountered before, i.e., rounded corners or overlaid tallies.
An embroidery of the Wikipedia page for embroidery.
A (probably inevitable) follow-up to my weekend of charting diamond-shaped lace motifs: the Cool S, as rendered in knitted lace. I really hope somebody can figure out a use for this.
MY TOYS
Even with a ceasefire, the lives of Gazans have been destroyed. Here are dolls made by Safaa, who used to support her family with a crochet business before losing her home in an airstrike:
Her parents both have diabetes and have not been able to access treatment since October 2023. Her father also lost an eye in an attack.
Please support her and her parents in rebuilding their home and the crochet business

Any ideas on what to use these pouches for?
taught myself beading over the last few weeks and have been making these little pins with designs inspired by weaving patterns
making more pins, now in multiple colours and with fringe to look like a rug or tapestry ✨
Part of a mini quilt I'm excited about
One of the funniest looking things I've ever knit
I had some leftover cotton yarn that I was determined to make into socks despite cotton not really having the required stretch
I knit, stretched, and washed a swatch to figure out sizing and used 1x1 ribbing for the entire sock (excluding the gusset and toe)
I still don't think I'd recommend 100% cotton for socks but it was a fun challenge and even after multiple wears and washes the socks fit surprisingly well!
I've been stitching some cicadas lately. This year is going to be a big one for the screaming bugs!
Bought some sock yarn from a pop up at a yarn store and each hank of yarn came with a stitch marker attached to the label
