I know many people in our communities have alcohol/drug addictions or are around people who do, so I want to teach you all some first aid tips!

if someone is unconscious, for example if they've passed out drunk, first make sure the scene is safe, then check for breathing and a pulse!

make sure to check if the person's airway is blocked. placing your fingers under their chin and tilting the head back can help clear their airway.

to check for a person's pulse, place two fingers on their neck beside their windpipe and press firmly for 5-10 seconds.

if the person has no pulse, call emergency services, find an AED (or tell someone to find one if that's possible) and begin CPR if you know how. follow the instructions on the AED to defibrillate the person.

if the person is breathing and has a pulse, place them in the recovery position!

make sure they are on their side with the higher arm folded under their head, the lower arm bent forward, and the higher leg bent, like this:

their mouth should be open and facing downward. that way, if they vomit, the vomit can drain out of their mouth and they won't choke on it.

you can place soft but heavy objects, like pillows weighted down with something, around the person to keep them from accidentally turning over.

this information can save a life. please share!

reminder to tag when you post something about sh. no typing quirk for this because i feel this is a bit important, but there is nonbeings (such as myself) that are sensitive to such topics, have phobias of things relating to them, and/or are just straight up uncomfortable with them. i, myself, have a phobia of blood. seeing it makes me throw up, have panic attacks, etc. I only made this post because someone i follow(if you see this dont take this as me not liking you anymore i love you OKAY IM SORRY) reblogged someones sh post that wasnt censored and wasnt tagged, so just fyi, its important to tag those topics!!!

People need to start TW/CW and or tagging a lot of bullcrap, no, not just NSFW. Just stuff in general.

People in this community do have fainting disorders, some are indeed victims, and a whole lot more.

Needing a TW/CW for blood, sharp objects, or noncon shouldn’t be optional. It needs to be something that’s normalized, and I hate that I have to say that because I’d wish it were common sense.

‘ oh but! Arthur it’s not that srs -3- ‘ guys people can die from fainting do you know that? Maybe not from the action itself, passing out in itself isn’t something they can die over. But if something catches them in their fall? That can turn fatal quick.

Also, people with PTSD can harm themselves or others if they get stuck in the mindset they were back during trauma depending on the situation (ex; military related ptsd). No this shouldn’t be ‘omg i should be scared of ppl with ptsd D:!’ But the fact that you are risking lives just because you are missing a tw. Also this can cause someone with PTSD to spiral, which can also be harmful to the person.

There is no excuse to not putting tw/cws on your page, as it can be as simple as just a tag. Yes you could do more but all you really need to do is a ‘cw blood’ or ‘tw blood’ in your tags and that’s it. WOW isn’t that easy? it’s not like typing is that easy! ‘Oh but—‘ there’s no reason why you can’t just put a few words into your tags.

Other stuff I haven’t mentioned that also needs tws; suggestive content, flashing lights, eye straining colors. And others that I’m not so educated on, but I know these are just as important. (Someone can add more onto this post, or tell me what else I need to say in my requests.)

i completely agree we need to normalize cw’ing and/or tagging nsft posts more often in the rqc but can we NOT act like having sexual blogs, yes even ones that have no other purpose than to BE sexual are bad things? because it reeks of censorship when you suggest that sexual blogs shouldnt be in the rqc or shouldnt be popular or what have you for xyz reason.

people with (and without) paras are going to have sexual fantasies, and sometimes theyre gonna vent that out on their blogs, thats normal and fine; lets just normalize cw’ing and/or tagging that stuff properly so that people who dont want to see it dont have to! we dont need to get rid of every sexual blog for this to happen

(and for those who might not know HOW to properly cw your posts, you can use the divider feature or you can use tags such as “cw nsft” directly on your post. ik its usually common knowledge but i also think we shouldnt assume everyone knows these things, some people are new to this kind of stuff.)

I think we as a community need to do cw/tw in general, because no I don’t want to see blood on my fyp as someone who can faint and injure myself from it. Ok? Ok. (Vasovagal Syncope, look it up and educate yourself on it!) because I could use tumblr while sitting somewhere and I don’t need to pass out while in a public area just because someone forgot to do a trigger warning.

- anything also visually describing blood, or the reason why the blood is out of the body. For the love of god. (Same reason as 1, this is actually worse than just a picture, atleast to me. Because my body can ‘imagine’ and trigger its sensors due to that)

- paper/papercuts (same reason as ^^ and 1.) why? because the common cause of a lot of people with my disorder is paper cuts, and my body knows how that feels.

If you consider yourself radqueer and you support those "vrchat trolling videos," I need you to rethink about how radical you really are.

Those "vrchat trolling videos" are targeting YOUR communities, if youre lgbtqia, a furry, plural, disabled, etc etc. YOU are the ones they are making fun of, your FRIENDS are the ones they are making fun of, people IN the rqc theyre making fun of. (Because shocker, lots of people in the rqc are lgbtqia, a furry, plural, and/or disabled!)

They specifically target people from these communities, there is NO doubt about it, and the fact that ive seen some of you defend that is bizarre.

These videos breed communities of people who hate on YOU, YOUR FRIENDS, YOUR COMMUNITY. They are fueling peoples hate and judgement.

"Oh but theyre cringe!" "Oh but theyre acting funny!!" "Oh but they have weird boundariess!!" Yeah and what do those people in those videos all have in common? Think about that. Behaviors ive seen in "vrchat trolling videos" could easily be explained by disorders.
