It must be so nice for radqueer people to be so privileged that they can steal from transgender people without living in fear of being murdered. It must be so nice that your biggest fear is to be posted on a cringe subreddit and not being killed every day.
It must be so nice that all of you can steal from oppressed groups and cosplay their oppression, thereby fulfilling your victim complex, without actually experiencing the consequences of marginalization.
Look I agree on some parts but I also disagree on others. In the south or rural areas they won’t see a difference and radqueers will get attacked the same as every other queer person.
We have to keep in mind that radqueers are overall a very small niche online community thus what privilege are they having? They rightfully keep getting dunked on and pushed away from other groups due to their views on consent and transId. We need to offer a safe way out for those getting sucked in during their teens when they don’t know better.
I live in the Bible belt.... Trans people get attacked for what bathrooms we use and for not looking our gender. These things simply do not apply to people inappropriately co-opting the term trans to role play marginalized groups. People don't know the term trans like that here, you have to specify transgender, you can't just say trans.
Transid's outside of real trans folks simply will not experience target acts of violence towards them if they're in the south.
I am aware that this group is a small niche- just like Rachel Dolazel and others who lied about their race are a small niche, yet radqueer(which is much larger than Rachel Dolezel at this point) as a whole contributes to the same underlying theme that has become far too prevalent- stealing experiences from oppressed groups demanding rights and thereby diminishing the message and the seriousness of the matter. This is about this generation slowly undoing work that has been done for our society to become more accepting. Self dx'rs, radqueers, etc have already done this when it comes to mental health and specifically trauma awareness, ADHD, and autism.
Radqueers should and do have a way out. Putting down the phone and humbling themselves and realizing what they contribute to. And it needs to be done quickly, many are potentially ruining their lives for views that won't last. People put their faces out there and talk nonsense as if employers don't look for that.
Either way, I don't know what's wrong with this generation. They completely missed the whole cultural appropriation social media lesson.
