2017 came n went! Looking back, it was a full of anxiety for the first part, then turned into a lot of “me time” and dedication to school and my home. Many lessons learned and a lot of confidences gained✌🏽out 2017!

A single footstep will not make a path on the earth. So a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives.

☀️Some Summer 2017 Views☀️
The Big Cut!!! Took 5 inches off my hair for a new fresher me feel! Super excited for cute styles and feeling new new! My hairstylist is AMAZING!!!! Here we go 2017-2018!
Bout it bout it!
Making every moment the best it can be! I love when unexpected experiences push my growth!
Big Choices
Taking that leap of faith that I am hoping will help me reach my goals. Growing up things just happened, it wasn't until I got into my late twenties that I started to see how much of a choice I have in my every day choices. No longer allowing things to just happen, but taking control and choosing what I want is new, exciting and very nerve racking. Staying focused on my goals! Let the year of sacrifice start today July 2 2017!
Day & Night
This little space of ours has been a work in progress for three springs/summers. It started with a lemon tree we brought home on Christmas and it has flourished from there. Our little patio is still not totally complete...I want to up grade/DIY the bench and get a comfy pillow or two and soft blanket to snuggle up in. BUT the transformation has been exciting and rewarding. Weekend after weekend, my partner and our dog would found ourselves in this little space planting, replanting, rearranging, reorganizing, and cleaning. The work and love that we have both put into our space makes me heart happy. Not to mention we have some goodies to look forward too, like some jalapeños, bell peppers, spinach and some grass for our dog to nibble on! Now we get to enjoy it at night! Loving the table that was 50% off! The DIY mini fireplace, I made it from a big old candle that I added sand I got from the beach down the street, then added some rocks and a paraffin candle, perfecto!
From the hanging pots to the spray painted pots, all the little details are us! Can’t wait to spend the summer in my little oasis!

Don’t turn your back on me! Ha! It’s more like I always have his back!
Attempted to go hiking yesterday but they didn't allow dogs on the trail. I don't like to hike without our little love so we just walked the coast for a bit and enjoyed the scenery.
Update...
I got unexpectedly sick for about a week. Needless to say it through me off of my regular routine, but it was also a nice break. It was challenging staying home and not feeling guilty for taking care of myself. I am use to pushing through and then breaking down a later. Maybe this was my body breaking me down. I made it and am feeling much better. Last week was a four day week, since I was sick, but hectic none the less. So finally back to my routine. This weekend has been quite, simple but wonderful! My partner and I realized our stress had been affecting our relationship and we chose to make time for ourselves. We had a great $5 dinner (our inside joke) and then we went dancing. It was so nice!!! I woke up with a little fat lip from a kissing collision we had! Then we spent Saturday running errands and enjoying each other company. Today has been cleaning, homework for me and he is playing with his friend. Getting ready to head to the park for a bit, then back to homework. Knowing that my partner is going away for business soon, I am trying to enjoy and be in the moment while we are together.

Family Health
Doing a health assignment where I have to look into my family’s health history....bringing up some strange feelings!
Another week gone....
Long weeks and short weekends make for more much needed personal relaxing time during the week. Thank God, literally, that this week is Spring Break for college....no homework!! Yes!!! I will spend some time studying and strengthen what I have already learning in math, since it is a subject I struggle with. But I need to make sure I take some time out for myself to relax and recharge. This past week was a long and stressful one. I took on extra work to help pay for some up coming fun in the sun at Coachella. Working my normal jobs and school, plus work Thursday night and all day today. The harder I push myself, the reminder to find balance chimes in, but also the confidence in myself grows, knowing I can take on my challenges. As always I would not be able to get through it with my Lord and Savior, supporting and guiding me and the support from my family.
