@raelynn-ford
Brice narrowed her eyes at Rae’s reaction but chose not to say anything. Instead, she just shrugged. “As long as he’s not an axe murderer, I’m okay with living with him.” She followed Rae as she headed towards what Brice guessed was the Fire Hotel. Weird name, but who was she to judge. “I’ve watched the movies, but I can’t say I’m a die hard like those who actually dress up like characters from the series. Why?” She paused, turning to look at Rae with a frown. “Please don’t tell me my room is Harry Potter themed.” Not waiting for the answer, she thought back at the name of the room and groaned.
“I don’t think he’s an axe murderer, if he is I’ve gotten really drunk with an axe murderer, which is definitely an interesting story to tell. Would it be acceptable if he was just a regular murderer? Just as long as he doesn’t use an axe, right?” Rae joked lightly, laughing lightly. Rae looked at Brice as they walked, a small smile on her face as she could practically see Brice figuring out why she was asking. Raelynn laughed when she finally got it, then nodded. “It is. Personally, I was pretty big on Harry Potter when I was younger. As you can probably guess from the accent, I was raised in the UK. My family used to watch the movies a lot.”
Actually, pick me up at 8? I’m still not familiar with this place and I don’t want to get lost.
Oh right, I should have thought of that. I can definitely do that. See you then?
“At least you’ve learned,” Brice hummed in agreement, a pang of guilt taking over her body at the girl’s words. She’s briefly reminded of bright green eyes that have dulled under the influence, and she shook her head lightly to rid her mind of the image. It was too soon. Brice smiled softly at Rae. “Not yet, actually.” She took out her phone and read the note saved there. “I’m supposed to be in a Gryffindor room at the Fire Hotel with some guy named Kirk?”
Rae nodded in agreement, a small smile, sort of absent and misplaced smile of her lips as she did. Raelynn smiled when she mentioned Kirk, and quickly nodded. “I know exactly where that is, I can take you. Kirk is really cool too.” Rae said as she started to walk towards the fire hotel. “Are you a Harry Potter fan?” Rae asked, having thinking to do so when she said that she was in the Gryffindor room.
“What did the buster do to you? He must have been a real idiot.” Shaking her head, Brice allowed a light chuckle. “My name’s nothing fancy, but I guess it’s good. Say, you seem like a nice person. Want to help me find my way around?”
Rae scoffed at her question, smiling lightly. “Which one?” She asked, jokingly, then shrugged. “It isn’t really important anymore. He was just one of those types that make you fall in love with him, convinces you that you can trust him, just in time for him to leave. And he did that twice.” Rae rolled her eyes at the thought of her ex. Sure, she’d been with someone else more recently but at least he had the guts to talk to her about it before disappearing. “I would like to think that I am, and I can definitely do that. Have you found your room yet? We can start there.”
What about saturday night? Does that work for you?
Saturday is perfect, do you want to meet there?
“You aren’t speaking from experience, are you, darling?” Brice inquired with a small smile. Taking the girl’s hand in her own, Brice shook it firmly. “A beautiful name for a beautiful lady. Fitting. I’m Brice.”
“I am slightly.” Rae answered honestly, smiling back at the girl as she did. “Unlike most, I’ve learned my lesson though.” She reassured the other, taking her hand and shaking it. “Oh, thank you. I love your name as well. It’s nice to meet you.”
Blue or purple? Alright, I can dig it. So what day works fine for you?
Awesome. I’m free most nights, but weekends tend to be more entertaining when it comes to partying with strangers. Are you free at all during the weekend?
