It’s been a while :(

I’m so sorry about going silent for the better part of the year. It’s been a tough one. Without going into a lot of detail- I lost my job, my new one has been extremely draining, and on top of that I’ve been really sick due to a chronic health issue rearing its head. I had to cease working on a lot of freelance paintings and have spent most of my time either at work or in bed.

But!! Fortunately I’m starting a (potentially significantly less stressful) position soon, and hope to have time to focus on my health and getting back to making some art.

Life has finally calmed down a bit and I’m feeling better, so I am tentatively returning to social media and posting more often~

Emmrook requests are semi-paused for a while as I want to focus on some different fandoms and personal work. But I do plan on working on them when the mood strikes. :)

I work on a contract for a US government agency and as you can imagine, it’s been a wild week. I am not doing so well mentally and need to step away for a few days.

My partner is also recovering from a medical procedure, so I wanna spend extra time with him.

So... things have not exactly gotten better or easier.

Due to the recent executive order (about the RIF), there's a very good chance I will be losing my job at some point in the near future. I am in full on panic mode right now and have barely slept the past few nights. Seeing many of my peers in other agencies getting terminated overnight has been harrowing. I'm sure it's only a matter of time until Elon comes for a certain space agency I'm employed at.

I am continuing to work on commissions, but again, I apologize for my silence in posting and requests. I also apologize for any delays in responding- I honestly just haven't had the energy to answer a lot of messages lately. Please bear with me- I know many of you have been eagerly awaiting your request for a while now.
