Story of my life!!!
I want a pet
I’d like a dog, but I would be ok with a cat if he/she like cuddling. BF is allergic to cats, so not a worthwhile commitment. However, who has the time for loving dogs! They need/deserve all the love.
Grad School
It sucks
What to do
when the internet is boring....
I really want these pants. I can be business casual in unicorns!
Procrastination spree
I should get back to work
I am a HUGE Gilmore Girls fan and I created this In Omnia Paratus poster as a discreet way to show my love for the show - more specifically, the whimsical Life and Death Brigade umbrella scene from the You Jump, I Jump, Jack episode. This poster is very subtle - only TRUE fans of the show will get the reference - and to anybody else, this artwork will just look like you have good taste in elegant, vintage posters! Your poster will be printed on 100lb weight paper. The sizes offered makes this artwork very easy to frame because most stores already stock poster frames in those dimensions, and as you can see from the photos, you dont even need a mat board! IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ: 1) You are purchasing a poster print only. The frame is NOT included. 2) Posters are shipped rolled-up, in a mailing tube. 3) Please verify your mailing address before submitting your order (https://tools.usps.com/go/ZipLookupAction!input.action). 4) INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyers responsibility. Please check with your countrys customs office to determine what your additional costs will be prior to buying. Here is a helpful website to determine any applicable fees: http://www.dutycalculator.com/.
ZOMG! I must have this!
I was sure this didn’t exist
So I remember seeing this scene on T.V. in high school and thought that this wasn’t real because ... I couldn’t find the clip on the internet. FLASH AHEAD TO YEARS LATER, I get bored and find it on the internet! It did exist and I wasn’t crazy.
Then, since this is the internet and all, I find this! Turns out David Bowie was an ongoing character on the show as well as his minion Iggy Pop. I was never really into this show previously, but I am considering giving it a second go because of this awesomeness!
This from now on
Random things I like...
"Mmmm.. Lisa" I remember this episode! It’s the best father daughter episode ever!
I am yet again re-blogging my sister. (However, the line is "Mmm...hug.") We spent many o' times watching the early Simpsons with our dad. Because of that us three always appreciate the special father/daughter episodes. This one in particular is also one of my favorites. Homer has a crayon removed from his brain, which allows him to bond intellectually with Lisa. Our dad doesn't have as high of a level of education to society's standards and he can get annoying. However, he is self taught, which has allowed my sister and I to develop an ability to explore intellectually. We grew up going to museums fairly often and still do.
Some other Homer/Lisa moments that my dad tends to bring up are:
My dad likes to say that our family is similar to the Simpson family in that the men are in-superior slobs while the Simpson women are acclaimed and successful. (I do not think this)
One of our dads favorite songs to chant is the "Lisa, it's your birthday" song.
Hey hey hey! Guess what I hit last night, 100 followers! Wup wup! And my coach said my IT problem isn’t serious , just to stretch it out, today we did around 4 miles and we started right away so we had an hour to get ready! It’s usually a half an hour or less. And there is my calc project, we already did volume last quarter, but we had to make a 3d volume model of two functions, I got the easy one , volume of rectangles with no reflection over any axis, though my bigger slices are kinda far spaced sooo… Anywho, yeah, 100 followers! I want to do something, I don’t know what, nothing too big like a giveaway though, sorry guys that’s not a big enough number. But yeah! Woo ! Okay well I’m going to continue this mamma jamma and then clean , so how are you guys and dolls?
I totally did this same project in AP Calc my senior year. I don't think I was as excited as my sister is to do it. (Yes, I am totally reblogging my sister).
Am I too Pretty?
I had an interesting occurrence today, and I am not trying to pull the "woh, was me" I am a female martyr in science card. It just kind of stuck with me throughout the day.
This morning, this kid and I are running to catch the shuttle to campus, and we just barely make it. He made a joking/flirtatious comment to me in regards to this, and we both sat across from each other.
I am on my way to my Quantum Mech course (which has been interesting, and incredibly abstract so far). Anyways, the kid is talking about how is class is talking about the probability density and etc. I assume that he may be in my Quantum Mech class, so I decide to add myself to the conversation (since I am all down for making friends and all).
Me: What class are you in (thinking its QM)?
Dude: Oh some *mumble* *mumble* physics course (not QM). You wouldn't be interested. *Swatting his hand at me* (It was like "I better not scare the girl away with science").
Me: Oh *putting on my headset to simmer in my general bus ride style* (because it was early and my coffee needed drinking).
Later on, I realized I should have said "NO, I am interested." Did he think I was too pretty to understand this? I know that sounds conceded, but I don't want to ask the question of is it because I am a girl. There in fore, is is because I am a somewhat normal looking girl? I know this all sounds conceded. It was the vibe I got...

I've been practicing this sequence a lot without the wall. Crow into tripod headstand is fairly easy since it allows for the hips to get stacked with the spine. However, I get stuck on the reverse! (Note: Tripod headstand is much easier if you focus on pushing your chin towards the floor. Essentially, wanting to keep the chin from tucking.)
I have been adjusting to classes, study groups and meeting with professors, which means that I have been adjusting my yoga practice. Basic practices for a reasonable price seem to be easy to find, but I am looking more for classes that will help me to expand. I'm trying to find a good San Diego studio that offers more challenging practices on the weekends. Any good suggestions?
"Vwaves"
I finally have a relatively young english speaking teacher with an American accent, which is typically awesome. However, while a lot of terminology has been thrown around that I should already know, I realized that I learned them in the context of my previous professors accents. Trust me, I have had everything from French and Scottish to very broken English and every old age.
So when my teacher is using terms such as "Hermitian" or even as basic as "waves", I hear:
"Hermi-tan"
"vwaves"
"h-erb"
My New Big Pond
There are days where I am like "wow, I am in a UC grad school," and then, there are days where I am like "WOW, I am in a UC grad school."
Yep.
I am obsessed with them! Now, if only my sister and I can work on some sister act as awesome as them.
